भजन संहिता 72

1 शलोमोन का परमेश्वर, राजा को अपना न्याय, तथा राजपुत्र को अपनी धार्मिकता प्रदान कीजिए,

BY SOLOMON. O God, give Your judgments to the king, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.

2 कि वह आपकी प्रजा का न्याय धार्मिकता-पूर्वक, तथा पीड़ितों का शासन न्याय संगत रीति से करे.

He judges Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with judgment.

3 तब प्रजा के लिए पर्वतों से समृद्धि, तथा घाटियों से धार्मिकता की उपज उत्पन्‍न होने लगेगी.

The mountains bear peace to the people, And the heights by righteousness.

4 तब राजा प्रजा में पीड़ितों की रक्षा करेगा, दरिद्रों की संतानों का उद्धार करेगा; और सतानेवाले को कुचल डालेगा.

He judges the poor of the people, Gives deliverance to the sons of the needy, And bruises the oppressor.

5 पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी जब तक सूर्य और चंद्रमा का अस्तित्व रहेगा, प्रजा में आपके प्रति श्रद्धा बनी रहेगी.

They fear You with the sun, and before the moon, Generation—generations.

6 उसका प्रगट होना वैसा ही होगा, जैसा घास पर वर्षा का तथा शुष्क भूमि पर वृष्टि का.

He comes down as rain on mown grass, As showers—sprinkling the earth.

7 उसके शासनकाल में धर्मी फूले फलेंगे, और जब तक चंद्रमा रहेगा समृद्धि बढ़ती जाएगी.

The righteous flourish in His days, And abundance of peace until the moon is not.

8 उसके साम्राज्य का विस्तार एक सागर से दूसरे सागर तक तथा फ़रात नदी से पृथ्वी के छोर तक होगा.

And He rules from sea to sea, And from the river to the ends of the earth.

9 वन में रहनेवाले लोग भी उसके सामने झुकेंगे और वह शत्रुओं को धूल का सेवन कराएगा.

Desert-dwellers bow before Him, And His enemies lick the dust.

10 तरशीश तथा दूर तट के देशों के राजा उसके लिए भेंटें लेकर आएंगे, शीबा और सेबा देश के राजा भी उसे उपहार प्रस्तुत करेंगे.

Kings of Tarshish and of the islands send back a present. Kings of Sheba and Seba bring a reward near.

11 समस्त राजा उनके सामने नतमस्तक होंगे और समस्त राष्ट्र उनके अधीन.

And all kings bow themselves to Him, All nations serve Him,

12 क्योंकि वह दुःखी की पुकार सुनकर उसे मुक्त कराएगा, ऐसे पीड़ितों को, जिनका कोई सहायक नहीं.

For He delivers the needy who cries, And the poor when he has no helper,

13 वह दरिद्रों तथा दुर्बलों पर तरस खाएगा तथा वह दुःखी को मृत्यु से बचा लेगा.

He has pity on the poor and needy, And He saves the souls of the needy,

14 वह उनके प्राणों को अंधेर और हिंसा से बचा लेगा, क्योंकि उसकी दृष्टि में उनका रक्त मूल्यवान है.

He redeems their soul from fraud and from violence, And their blood is precious in His eyes.

15 वह दीर्घायु हो! उसे भेंट में शीबा देश का स्वर्ण प्रदान किया जाए. प्रजा उसके लिए प्रार्थना करती रहे और निरंतर उसके हित की कामना करती रहे.

And He lives, and the gold of Sheba [is] given to Him, And prayer is continually made for Him, All day He is continually blessed.

16 संपूर्ण देश में अन्‍न विपुलता में बना रहे; पहाड़ियां तक उपज से भर जाएं. देश में फलों की उपज लबानोन की उपजाऊ भूमि जैसी हो और नगरवासियों की समृद्धि ऐसी हो, जैसी भूमि की वनस्पति.

There is a handful of grain in the earth, On the top of mountains, Its fruit shakes like Lebanon, And they flourish out of the city as the herb of the earth.

17 उसकी ख्याति चिरस्थाई हो; जब तक सूर्य में प्रकाश है, उसकी महिमा नई हो. उसके द्वारा समस्त राष्ट्र आशीषित हों, वे उसे धन्य कहें.

His Name is for all time, Before the sun is His Name continued, And they bless themselves in Him, All nations pronounce Him blessed.

18 इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, याहवेह परमेश्वर का स्तवन हो, केवल वही हैं, जो महाकार्य करते हैं.

Blessed is YHWH God, God of Israel, He alone is doing wonders,

19 उनका महिमामय नाम सदा-सर्वदा धन्य हो; संपूर्ण पृथ्वी उनके तेज से भयभीत हो जाए.

And blessed [is] the Name of His glory for all time, And the whole earth is filled [with] His glory. Amen and amen!

20 यिशै के पुत्र दावीद की प्रार्थनाएं यहां समाप्‍त हुईं.
