भजन संहिता 68

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद की रचना. एक स्तोत्र. एक गीत. परमेश्वर उठे, कि उनके शत्रु बिखर जाएं; उनके शत्रु उनके सम्मुख से भाग खड़े हों.

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” Let God arise, and his enemies are scattered, And they who hate him flee before him!

2 आप उन्हें वैसे ही उड़ा दें, जैसे हवा धुएं को उड़ा ले जाती है, वे परमेश्वर के सामने उसी प्रकार नष्ट हो जाएं जिस प्रकार अग्नि के सम्मुख आने पर मोम.

As smoke is dispersed, so thou dispersest them; As wax melteth before the fire, So perish the wicked before the face of God.

3 धर्मी हर्षित हों और वे परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में हर्षोल्लास में मगन हों; वे आनंद में उल्‍लसित हों.

But the righteous are glad and rejoice in his presence, Yea, they exult exceedingly.

4 परमेश्वर का गुणगान करो, जो मेघों पर विराजमान होकर आगे बढ़ते हैं, उनकी महिमा का स्तवन करो, उनका नाम है याहवेह. उपयुक्त है कि उनके सामने उल्‍लसित रहा जाए.

Sing unto God; sing praises to his name! Prepare a way for him who rideth through the desert! Jehovah is his name; be joyful in his presence!

5 परमेश्वर अपने पवित्र आवास में अनाथों के पिता तथा विधवाओं के रक्षक हैं.

The father of the fatherless, and the protector of the widow, Is God in his holy habitation.

6 वह एकाकियों के लिए स्थायी परिवार निर्धारित करते तथा बंदियों को मुक्त कर देते हैं तब वे हर्ष गीत गाने लगते हैं; किंतु हठीले तपते, सूखे भूमि में निवास करने के लिए छोड़ दिए जाते हैं.

God causeth the forsaken to dwell in houses; He leadeth forth to prosperity them that are bound; But the rebellious shall dwell in a barren land.

7 परमेश्वर, जब आप अपनी प्रजा के आगे-आगे चलने के लिए निकल पड़े, जब आप बंजर ज़मीन में से होकर जा रहे थे,

O God! when thou didst go before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness. (Pause)

8 पृथ्वी कांप उठी, आकाश ने वृष्टि भेजी, परमेश्वर के सामने, वह जो सीनायी पर्वत के परमेश्वर हैं, परमेश्वर के सामने, जो इस्राएल के परमेश्वर हैं.

The earth quaked, and the heavens dropped at the presence of God; This Sinai trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 परमेश्वर, आपने समृद्ध वृष्टि प्रदान की; आपने अपने थके हुए विरासत को ताज़ा किया.

Thou, O God! didst send a plentiful rain; Thou didst strengthen thy wearied inheritance.

10 आपकी प्रजा उस देश में बस गई; हे परमेश्वर, आपने अपनी दया के भंडार से असहाय प्रजा की आवश्यकता की व्यवस्था की.

Thy people established themselves in the land; Thou, O God! in thy goodness, didst prepare it for the needy!

11 प्रभु ने आदेश दिया और बड़ी संख्या में स्त्रियों ने यह शुभ संदेश प्रसारित कर दिया:

The Lord gave the song of victory Of the maidens publishing glad tidings to the mighty host.

12 “राजा और सेना पलायन कर रहे हैं; हां, वे पलायन कर रहे हैं, और वह जो घर पर रह गई है लूट की सामग्री को वितरित करेगी.

“The kings with their armies have fled, —have fled! And the matron at home divideth the spoil.

13 जब तुम भेड़शाला में लेटते हो, तुम ऐसे लगते हो, मानो कबूतरी के पंखों पर चांदी, तथा उसके पैरों पर प्रकाशमान स्वर्ण मढ़ा गया हो.”

Truly ye may repose yourselves in the stalls, Like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her feathers with shining gold.”

14 जब सर्वशक्तिमान ने राजाओं को वहां तितर-बितर किया, ज़लमोन में हिमपात हो रहा था.

When the Most High destroyed the kings in the land, It was white [[with their bones]] like Salmon.

15 ओ देवताओं का पर्वत, बाशान पर्वत, ओ अनेक शिखरयुक्त पर्वत, बाशान पर्वत,

Ye lofty hills, ye hills of Bashan, Ye many-topped hills, ye hills of Bashan,

16 ओ अनेक शिखरयुक्त पर्वत, तुम उस पर्वत की ओर डाह की दृष्टि क्यों डाल रहे हो, जिसे परमेश्वर ने अपना आवास बनाना चाहा है, निश्चयतः वहां याहवेह सदा-सर्वदा निवास करेंगे?

Why frown ye, ye many-topped hills, At the hill in which God is pleased to dwell, In which Jehovah will dwell for ever?

17 परमेश्वर के रथ दस दस हजार, और हजारों हजार हैं; प्रभु अपनी पवित्रता में उनके मध्य हैं, जैसे सीनायी पर्वत पर.

The chariots of God are myriads, yea, thousands of thousands; The Lord is in the midst of them, as upon Sinai, in the sanctuary.

18 जब आप ऊंचाइयों पर चढ़ गए, और आप अपने साथ बड़ी संख्या में युद्धबन्दी ले गए; आपने मनुष्यों से, हां, हठीले मनुष्यों से भी भेंट स्वीकार की, कि आप, याहवेह परमेश्वर वहां निवास करें.

Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captive the vanquished, Thou hast received gifts among men, Even the rebellious, that here thou mightst dwell, O LORD God!

19 परमेश्वर, हमारे प्रभु, हमारे उद्धारक का स्तवन हो, जो प्रतिदिन के जीवन में हमारे सहायक हैं.

Praised be the Lord daily! When we are heavy-laden, the Mighty One is our help.

20 हमारे परमेश्वर वह परमेश्वर हैं, जो हमें उद्धार प्रदान करते हैं; मृत्यु से उद्धार सर्वसत्ताधारी अधिराज याहवेह से ही होता है.

Our God is a God of salvation; From the Lord Jehovah cometh deliverance from death.

21 इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं, कि परमेश्वर अपने शत्रुओं के सिर कुचल देंगे, केश युक्त सिर, जो पापों में लिप्‍त रहते हैं.

But God smiteth the head of his enemies, Even the hairy crowns of those who go on in their iniquity.

22 प्रभु ने घोषणा की, “मैं तुम्हारे शत्रुओं को बाशान से भी खींच लाऊंगा; मैं उन्हें सागर की गहराइयों तक से निकाल लाऊंगा,

“I will bring them back,” saith the Lord, “from Bashan; I will bring them back from the deep sea;

23 कि तुम अपने पांव अपने शत्रुओं के रक्त में डूबा सको, और तुम्हारे कुत्ते भी अपनी जीभ तृप्‍त कर सकें.”

That thy foot may be dipped in their blood, That thy dogs may drink the blood of thine enemies.”

24 हे परमेश्वर, आपकी शोभायात्रा अब दिखने लगी है; वह शोभायात्रा, जो मेरे परमेश्वर और मेरे राजा की है, जो मंदिर की ओर बढ़ रही है!

We have seen thy procession, O God! The procession of my God, my king, to his sanctuary!

25 इस शोभायात्रा में सबसे आगे चल रहा है गायक-वृन्द, उसके पीछे है वाद्य-वृन्द; जिनमें युवतियां भी हैं जो डफ़ बजा रही हैं.

The singers go before, the minstrels follow, Amidst damsels playing on timbrels.

26 विशाल जनसभा में परमेश्वर का स्तवन किया जाए; इस्राएल राष्ट्र की महासभा में याहवेह का स्तवन किया जाए.

Praise ye God in your assemblies; Praise the Lord, all ye from the fountain of Israel!

27 बिन्यामिन का छोटा गोत्र उनके आगे-आगे चल रहा है, वहीं यहूदी गोत्र के न्यायियों का विशाल समूह है, ज़ेबुलून तथा नफताली गोत्र के प्रधान भी उनमें सम्मिलित हैं.

Here is Benjamin, the youngest, and his leaders; The chiefs of Judah, and their band; The chiefs of Zebulon, and the chiefs of Naphtali.

28 हे परमेश्वर, अपनी सामर्थ्य को आदेश दीजिए, हम पर अपनी शक्ति प्रदर्शित कीजिए, हे परमेश्वर, जैसा आपने पहले भी किये हैं!

Thy God has ordained thy strength, [[O Israel!]] Show forth thy might, O God! thou who hast wrought for us!

29 येरूशलेम में आपके मंदिर की महिमा के कारण, राजा अपनी भेंटें आपको समर्पित करेंगे.

Because of thy temple in Jerusalem Shall kings bring presents to thee.

30 सरकंडों के मध्य घूमते हिंसक पशुओं को, राष्ट्रों के बछड़ों के मध्य सांड़ों के झुंड को आप फटकार लगाइए. उन्हें रौंद डालिए, जिन्हें भेंट पाने की लालसा रहती है. युद्ध के लिए प्रसन्‍न राष्ट्रों की एकता भंग कर दीजिए.

Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of bulls with the calves of the nations, So that they shall cast themselves down with masses of silver; Scatter thou the nations that delight in war!

31 मिस्र देश से राजदूत आएंगे; तथा कूश देश परमेश्वर के सामने समर्पित हो जाएगा.

Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste with outstretched hands to God.

32 पृथ्वी के समस्त राज्यो, परमेश्वर का गुणगान करो, प्रभु का स्तवन करो.

Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; Sing praises to Jehovah;

33 उन्हीं का स्तवन, जो सनातन काल से स्वर्ग में चलते फिरते रहे हैं, जिनका स्वर मेघ के गर्जन समान है.

To him who rideth upon the ancient heaven of heavens! Behold, he uttereth his voice, his mighty voice!

34 उन परमेश्वर के सामर्थ्य की घोषणा करो, जिनका वैभव इस्राएल राष्ट्र पर छाया है, जिनका नियंत्रण समस्त स्वर्ग पर प्रगट है.

Give glory to God, Whose majesty is in Israel, and whose might is in the clouds!

35 परमेश्वर, अपने मंदिर में आप कितने शोभायमान लगते हैं; इस्राएल के परमेश्वर अपनी प्रजा को अधिकार एवं सामर्थ्य प्रदान करते हैं. परमेश्वर का स्तवन होता रहे!

Terrible art thou, O God! from thy sanctuary! The God of Israel giveth strength and power to his people. Praised be God!
