भजन संहिता 65

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. एक गीत. परमेश्वर, ज़ियोन में आपका स्तवन अपेक्षित है; आपके सामने की गई मन्‍नतें पूर्ण किए जाएंगे.

To the Overseer. — A Psalm of David. A Song. To Thee, silence — praise, O God, [is] in Zion, And to Thee is a vow completed.

2 सभी मनुष्य आपके निकट आएंगे, आप जो प्रार्थनाएं सुनकर उनका उत्तर देते हैं.

Hearer of prayer, to Thee all flesh cometh.

3 मेरे पाप के अपराधों की बहुलता ने मुझे दबा रखा है, हमारे अपराधों पर आपने आवरण डाल दिया है.

Matters of iniquities were mightier than I, Our transgressions — Thou dost cover them.

4 धन्य होता है वह पुरुष जिसे आप चुन लेते हैं, कि वह आपके आंगन में आपके सामने में रहे! हम आपके आवास, आपके मंदिर के पवित्र स्थान के उत्कृष्ट पदार्थों से तृप्‍त किए जाएंगे.

O the happiness of [him whom] Thou choosest, And drawest near, he inhabiteth Thy courts, We are satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple.

5 आपके प्रत्युत्तर हमें चकित कर देते हैं, ये आपकी धार्मिकता होने का प्रमाण हैं. परमेश्वर, हमारे उद्धारकर्ता, पृथ्वी के छोर तक तथा दूर-दूर महासागर तक आप सभी श्रद्धालुओं की आशा हैं.

By fearful things in righteousness Thou answerest us, O God of our salvation, The confidence of all far off ends of earth and sea.

6 आप स्वयं सामर्थ्य से सुसज्जित हैं, आपने ही अपनी सामर्थ्य से पर्वतों की रचना की.

Establishing mountains by His power, He hath been girded with might,

7 आप समुद्र की लहरों को, उसके गर्जनों को शांत कर देते हैं, आप राष्ट्रों की हलचल को भी शांत करते हैं.

Restraining the noise of seas, the noise of their billows, And the multitude of the peoples.

8 सीमांत देशों के निवासी आपके महाकार्य से घबराए हुए; उदयाचल और अस्ताचल को आप हर्षगान के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं.

And the inhabitants of the uttermost parts From Thy signs are afraid, The outgoings of morning and evening Thou causest to sing.

9 आप भूमि का ध्यान रख उसकी सिंचाई का प्रबंध करते हैं; आप उसे अत्यंत उपजाऊ बनाते हैं; परमेश्वर के जल प्रवाह कभी नहीं सूखते. क्योंकि परमेश्वर, आपने यह निर्धारित किया है, कि मनुष्यों के आहार के लिए अन्‍न सदैव उपलब्ध रहे.

Thou hast inspected the earth, and waterest it, Thou makest it very rich, the rivulet of God [is] full of water, Thou preparest their corn, When thus Thou dost prepare it,

10 आप नालियों को आर्द्र बनाए रखते हैं तथा कूटक को वर्षा द्वारा समतल कर देते हैं; वृष्टि से आप इसे कोमल बना देते हैं, आप इसकी उपज को आशीष देते हैं.

Its ridges have been filled, Deepened hath been its furrow, With showers Thou dost soften it, Its springing up Thou blessest.

11 आप वर्ष को विपुल उपज के द्वारा गौरवान्वित करते हैं, जिससे अन्‍न उत्तम-उत्तम पदार्थ से भंडार परिपूर्ण पाए जाते हैं.

Thou hast crowned the year of Thy goodness, And Thy paths drop fatness.

12 बंजर ज़मीन तक घास से सम्पन्‍न हो जाती है; पहाड़ियां आनंद का स्रोत हो जाती हैं.

Drop do the pastures of a wilderness, And joy of the heights Thou girdest on.

13 हरे घास पशुओं से आच्छादित हो जाते हैं; घाटियां उपज से परिपूर्ण हैं; वे उल्‍लसित हो उच्च स्वर में गाने लगती हैं.

Clothed have lambs the flock, And valleys are covered with corn, They shout — yea, they sing!
