भजन संहिता 58

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “अलतशख़ेथ” धुन पर आधारित. दावीद की मिकताम गीत रचना. न्यायाधीशो, क्या वास्तव में तुम्हारा निर्णय न्याय संगत होता है? क्या, तुम्हारा निर्णय वास्तव में निष्पक्ष ही होता है?

To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David. Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

2 नहीं, मन ही मन तुम अन्यायपूर्ण युक्ति करते रहते हो, पृथ्वी पर तुम हिंसा परोसते हो.

Yes, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

3 दुष्ट लोग जन्म से ही फिसलते हैं, गर्भ से ही; परमेश्वर से झूठ बोलते हुए भटक जाते है.

The wicked are estranged from their birth: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

4 उनका विष विषैले सर्प का विष है, उस बहरे सर्प के समान, जिसने अपने कान बंद कर रखे हैं.

Their poison [is] like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder [that] stoppeth her ear;

5 कि अब उसे संपेरे की धुन सुनाई न दे, चाहे वह कितना ही मधुर संगीत प्रस्तुत करे.

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

6 परमेश्वर, उनके मुख के भीतर ही उनके दांत तोड़ दीजिए; याहवेह, इन सिंहों के दाढों को ही उखाड़ दीजिए!

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

7 वे जल के जैसे बहकर विलीन हो जाएं; जब वे धनुष तानें, उनके बाण निशाने तक नहीं पहुंचें.

Let them melt away as waters [which] run continually: [when] he bendeth [his bow to shoot] his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

8 वे उस घोंघे के समान हो जाएं, जो सरकते-सरकते ही गल जाता है, अथवा उस मृत जन्मे शिशु के समान, जिसके लिए सूर्य प्रकाश का अनुभव असंभव है.

As a snail [which] melteth, let [every one of them] pass away: [like] the untimely birth of a woman, [that] they may not see the sun.

9 इसके पूर्व कि कंटीली झाड़ियों में लगाई अग्नि का ताप पकाने के पात्र तक पहुंचे, वह जले अथवा अनजले दोनों ही को बवंडर में उड़ा देंगे.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in [his] wrath.

10 धर्मी के लिए ऐसा पलटा आनन्द-दायक होगा, वह दुष्टों के रक्त में अपने पांव धोएगा.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11 तब मनुष्य यह कह उठेंगे, “निश्चय धर्मी उत्तम प्रतिफल प्राप्‍त करते हैं; यह सत्य है कि परमेश्वर हैं और वह पृथ्वी पर न्याय करते हैं.”

So that a man shall say, Verily [there is] a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
