भजन संहिता 57
1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “अलतशख़ेथ” धुन पर आधारित. दावीद की मिकताम गीत रचना. यह उस घटना का संदर्भ है, जब दावीद शाऊल की उपस्थिति से भागकर कन्दरा में जा छिपे थे. मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए, हे मेरे परमेश्वर, कृपा कीजिए, क्योंकि मैंने आपको ही अपना आश्रय-स्थल बनाया है. मैं आपके पंखों के नीचे आश्रय लिए रहूंगा, जब तक विनाश मुझ पर से टल न जाए.
Be merciful to me, God, show favor to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed.
2 मैं सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर को पुकारता हूं, वही परमेश्वर, जो मुझे निर्दोष ठहराते हैं.
I cry out to El 'Elyon [God Most High], to God who accomplishes my requests for me.
3 वह स्वर्ग से सहायता भेजकर मेरा उद्धार करेंगे; जो मुझे कुचलते हैं उनसे उन्हें घृणा है. परमेश्वर अपना करुणा-प्रेम तथा अपना सत्य प्रेषित करेंगे.
He will send from heaven, and save me, he rebukes the one who is pursuing me. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·. God will send out his chesed ·loving-kindness· and his truth.
4 मैं सिंहों से घिर गया हूं; मैं हिंसक पशुओं समान मनुष्यों के मध्य पड़ा हुआ हूं. उनके दांत भालों और बाणों समान, तथा जीभें तलवार समान तीक्ष्ण हैं.
My soul is among lions. I lie among those who are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 परमेश्वर, आप सर्वोच्च स्वर्ग में बसे हैं; आपका तेज समस्त पृथ्वी को भयभीत करें.
Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your kavod ·weighty glory· be above all the earth!
6 उन्होंने मेरे मार्ग में जाल बिछाया है; मेरा प्राण डूबा जा रहा था. उन्होंने मेरे मार्ग में गड्ढा भी खोद रखा था, किंतु वे स्वयं उसी में जा गिरे हैं.
They have prepared a net for my steps. My soul is bowed down. They dig a pit before me. They fall into the middle of it themselves. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
7 मेरा हृदय निश्चिंत है, परमेश्वर, मेरा हृदय निश्चिंत है; मैं स्तुति करते हुए गाऊंगा और संगीत बजाऊंगा.
My heart is steadfast, God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing, yes, I will sing zahmar ·musical praise·.
8 मेरी आत्मा, जागो! नेबेल और किन्नोर जागो! मैं उषःकाल को जागृत करूंगा.
Wake up, my glory! Wake up, lute and harp! I will wake up the dawn.
9 प्रभु, मैं लोगों के मध्य आपका आभार व्यक्त करूंगा; राष्ट्रों के मघ्य मैं आपका स्तवन करूंगा.
I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, Lord, among the peoples. I will sing zahmar ·musical praise· to you among the nations.
10 क्योंकि आपका करुणा-प्रेम आकाश से भी महान है; आपकी सच्चाई अंतरीक्ष तक जा पहुंचती है.
For your great chesed ·loving-kindness· reaches to the heavens, and your truth to the skies.
11 परमेश्वर, आप सर्वोच्च स्वर्ग में बसे हैं; आपका तेज समस्त पृथ्वी को भयभीत करें.
Be exalted, God, above the heavens. Let your kavod ·weighty glory· be over all the earth.
