भजन संहिता 56

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “दूर के बांज वृक्ष पर बैठा कबूतरी” धुन पर आधारित. दावीद की मिकताम गीत रचना. यह उस घटना का संदर्भ है, जब गाथ देश में फिलिस्तीनियों ने दावीद को पकड़ लिया था. परमेश्वर, मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए, क्योंकि शत्रु मुझे कुचल रहे हैं; दिन भर उनका आक्रमण मुझ पर प्रबल होता जा रहा है.

For the Leader; upon Jonath-elem-rehokim. A Psalm of David; Michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be gracious unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up; all the day he fighting oppresseth me.

2 मेरे निंदक सारे दिन मेरा पीछा करते हैं; अनेक हैं, जो मुझ पर अपने अहंकार से प्रहार कर रहे हैं.

They that lie in wait for me would swallow me up all the day; for they are many that fight against me, O Most High,

3 भयभीत होने की स्थिति में, मैं आप पर ही भरोसा करूंगा.

In the day that I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.

4 परमेश्वर, आपकी प्रतिज्ञा स्तुति प्रशंसनीय है, परमेश्वर, मैं आप पर ही भरोसा रखूंगा और पूर्णतः निर्भय हो जाऊंगा. नश्वर मनुष्य मेरा क्या बिगाड़ लेगा?

In God — I will praise His word — in God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can flesh do unto me?

5 दिन भर मेरे वचन को उलटा कर प्रसारित किया जाता है; मेरी हानि की युक्तियां सोचना उनकी दिनचर्या हो गई है.

All the day they trouble mine affairs; all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6 वे बुरी युक्ति रचते हैं, वे घात लगाए बैठे रहते हैं, वे मेरे हर कदम पर दृष्टि बनाए रखते हैं, कि कब मेरे प्राण ले सकें.

They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps; according as they have waited for my soul.

7 उनकी दुष्टता को देखकर उन्हें बचकर न जाने दें; परमेश्वर, अपने क्रोध के द्वारा इन लोगों को मिटा दीजिए.

Because of iniquity cast them out; in anger bring down the peoples, O God.

8 आपने मेरे भटकने का लेखा रखा है; आपने मेरे आंसू अपनी कुप्पी में जमा कर रखें हैं. आपने इनका लेखा भी अपनी पुस्तक में रखा है?

Thou has counted my wanderings; put Thou my tears into Thy bottle; are they not in Thy book?

9 तब जैसे ही मैं आपको पुकारूंगा, मेरे शत्रु पीठ दिखाकर भाग खड़े होंगे. तब यह प्रमाणित हो जाएगा कि परमेश्वर मेरे पक्ष में हैं.

Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call; this I know, that God is for me.

10 वही परमेश्वर, जिनकी प्रतिज्ञा स्तुति प्रशंसनीय है, वही याहवेह, जिनकी प्रतिज्ञा स्तुति प्रशंसनीय है.

In God — I will praise His word — in the LORD — I will praise His word —

11 मैं परमेश्वर पर ही भरोसा रखूंगा, तब मुझे किसी का भय न होगा. मनुष्य मेरा क्या बिगाड़ सकता है?

In God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can man do unto me?

12 परमेश्वर, मुझे आपके प्रति की गई मन्‍नतें पूर्ण करनी हैं; मैं आपको अपनी आभार-बलि अर्पण करूंगा.

Thy vows are upon me, O God; I will render thank-offerings unto Thee.

13 क्योंकि आपने मृत्यु से मेरे प्राणों की रक्षा की है, मेरे पांवों को आपने फिसलने से बचाया है कि मैं, परमेश्वर, आपके साथ साथ जीवन ज्योति में चल सकूं.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death; hast Thou not delivered my feet from stumbling? that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
