भजन संहिता 54

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. तार वाद्यों की संगत के साथ. दावीद की मसकील गीत रचना. यह उस स्थिति के संदर्भ में है, जब ज़िफियों ने जाकर शाऊल को सूचना दी थी: “दावीद हमारे यहां छिपे हैं.” परमेश्वर, अपने नाम के द्वारा मेरा उद्धार कीजिए; अपनी सामर्थ्य के द्वारा मुझे निर्दोष प्रमाणित कीजिए.

To the Chief Musician: with Stringed Instruments. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. When the Ziphites came and said unto Saul, Is not, David, hiding himself, with us? O God! by thine own Name, save me, And, by thine own strength, wilt thou vindicate me?

2 परमेश्वर, मेरी प्रार्थना सुनिए; मेरे मुख के वचनों पर ध्यान दीजिए.

O God! Hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth;

3 ऐसे अपरिचित पुरुषों ने मुझ पर आक्रमण कर दिया है; कुकर्मी पुरुष अब मेरे प्राण के प्यासे हो गए हैं, जिनके हृदय में आपके प्रति कोई श्रद्धा नहीं है.

For, aliens, have risen up against me, And, men of violence, have sought my life, They have not set God before them. (Selah)

4 कोई संदेह नहीं कि परमेश्वर मेरी सहायता के लिए तत्पर हैं; प्रभु ही हैं, जो मुझमें बल देते हैं.

Lo! God, is bringing me help, My Lord, is with the upholders of my life;

5 ऐसा हो कि बुराई मेरे निंदकों पर ही जा पड़े; परमेश्वर अपनी विश्वासयोग्यता के कारण उनका विनाश कर दीजिए.

Let him turn back the mischief upon mine adversaries, In thy faithfulness, destroy them!

6 मैं आपको स्वेच्छा बलि अर्पित करूंगा; याहवेह, मैं आपकी महान महिमा की सराहना करूंगा, क्योंकि यह शोभनीय है.

With a freewill-offering, will I sacrifice unto thee, I will praise thy Name, O Yahweh, for it is good;

7 आपने समस्त संकटों से मेरा छुटकारा किया है, मैंने स्वयं अपनी आंखों से, अपने शत्रुओं की पराजय देखी है.

For, out of all distress, hath he rescued me, —And, upon my foes, hath, mine own eye, looked.
