भजन संहिता 51
1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. यह उस अवसर का लिखा है जब दावीद ने बैथशेबा से व्यभिचार किया और भविष्यद्वक्ता नाथान ने दावीद का सामना किया था. परमेश्वर, अपने करुणा-प्रेम में, अपनी बड़ी करुणा में; मुझ पर दया कीजिए, मेरे अपराधों को मिटा दीजिए.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 मेरे समस्त अधर्म को धो दीजिए और मुझे मेरे पाप से शुद्ध कर दीजिए.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 मैंने अपने अपराध पहचान लिए हैं, और मेरा पाप मेरे दृष्टि पर छाया रहता है.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin [is] ever before me.
4 वस्तुतः मैंने आपके, मात्र आपके विरुद्ध ही पाप किया है, मैंने ठीक वही किया है, जो आपकी दृष्टि में बुरा है; तब जब आप अपने न्याय के अनुरूप दंड देते हैं, यह हर दृष्टि से न्याय संगत एवं उपयुक्त है.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, [and] be clear when thou judgest.
5 इसमें भी संदेह नहीं कि मैं जन्म के समय से ही पापी हूं, हां, उसी क्षण से, जब मेरी माता ने मुझे गर्भ में धारण किया था.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 यह भी बातें हैं कि आपकी यह अभिलाषा है, कि हमारी आत्मा में सत्य हो; तब आप मेरे अंतःकरण में भलाई प्रदान करेंगे.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 जूफ़ा पौधे की टहनी से मुझे स्वच्छ करें, तो मैं शुद्ध हो जाऊंगा; मुझे धो दीजिए, तब मैं हिम से भी अधिक श्वेत हो जाऊंगा.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 मुझमें हर्षोल्लास एवं आनंद का संचार कीजिए; कि मेरी हड्डियां जिन्हें आपने कुचल दी हैं, मगन हो उठें.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 मेरे पापों को अपनी दृष्टि से दूर कर दीजिए और मेरे समस्त अपराध मिटा दीजिए.
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 परमेश्वर, मुझमें एक शुद्ध हृदय को उत्पन्न कीजिए, और मेरे अंदर में सुदृढ़ आत्मा की पुनःस्थापना कीजिए.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 मुझे अपने सान्निध्य से दूर न कीजिए और मुझसे आपके पवित्रात्मा को न छीनिए.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 अपने उद्धार का उल्लास मुझमें पुनः संचारित कीजिए, और एक तत्पर आत्मा प्रदान कर मुझमें नवजीवन का संचार कीजिए.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit.
13 तब मैं अपराधियों को आपकी नीतियों की शिक्षा दे सकूंगा, कि पापी आपकी ओर पुनः फिर सकें.
[Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 परमेश्वर, मेरे छुड़ानेवाले परमेश्वर, मुझे रक्तपात के दोष से मुक्त कर दीजिए, कि मेरी जीभ आपकी धार्मिकता का स्तुति गान कर सके.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 प्रभु, मेरे होंठों को खोल दीजिए, कि मेरे मुख से आपकी स्तुति-प्रशंसा हो सके.
O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 आपकी प्रसन्नता बलियों में नहीं है, अन्यथा मैं बलि अर्पित करता, अग्निबलि में भी आप प्रसन्न नहीं हैं.
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give [it: ] thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 टूटी आत्मा ही परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य योग्य बलि है; टूटे और पछताये हृदय से, हे परमेश्वर, आप घृणा नहीं करते हैं.
The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 आपकी कृपादृष्टि से ज़ियोन की समृद्धि हो, येरूशलेम की शहरपनाह का पुनर्निर्माण हो.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 तब धर्मी की अग्निबलि तथा सर्वांग पशुबलि अर्पण से आप प्रसन्न होंगे; और आपकी वेदी पर बैल अर्पित किए जाएंगे.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
