भजन संहिता 48
1 एक गीत. कोराह के पुत्रों की एक स्तोत्र रचना. महान हैं याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर के नगर में, उनके पवित्र पर्वत में, सर्वोच्च वंदना और प्रशंसा के योग्य.
A psalm of a canticle, for the sons of Core, on the second day of the week. Great is the Lord, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
2 मनोहर हैं इसके शिखर, जिसमें समस्त पृथ्वी आनन्दमग्न है, ज़ियोन पर्वत उत्तर के उच्च पर्वत ज़ेफोन के समान है, जो राजाधिराज का नगर है.
With the joy of the whole earth is mount Sion founded, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.
3 इसके राजमहलों में परमेश्वर निवास करते हैं; उन्होंने स्वयं को इसका गढ़ प्रमाणित कर दिया है.
In her houses shall God be known, when he shall protect her.
4 जब राजाओं ने अपनी सेनाएं संयुक्त की, जब उन्होंने इस पर आक्रमण किया,
For behold the kings of the earth assembled themselves: they gathered together.
5 तब वे इसे देख चकित रह गए; वे भयभीत हो भाग खड़े हुए.
So they saw, and they wondered, they were troubled, they were moved:
6 भय के कारण उन्हें वहां ऐसी कंपकंपी होने लगी, जैसी प्रसव पीड़ा में प्रसूता को होती है.
Trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour.
7 आपने उनका ऐसा विध्वंस किया, जैसे तरशीश के जलयानों का पूर्वी हवा के कारण हुआ था.
With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis.
8 जैसा हमने सुना था, और जैसा हमने देखा है सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह के नगर में, हमारे परमेश्वर के नगर में: परमेश्वर उसे सर्वदा महिमा प्रदान करेंगे.
As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.
9 परमेश्वर, आपके मंदिर में, हमने आपके करुणा-प्रेम पर चिंतन किया है.
We have received thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
10 जैसी आपकी महिमा है, वैसी ही आपकी स्तुति-प्रशंसा भी पृथ्वी के छोर तक पहुंच रही है; आपका दायां हाथ धार्मिकता से भरा है.
According to thy name, O God, so also is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of justice.
11 ज़ियोन पर्वत उल्लसित है, यहूदाह प्रदेश के नगर आपके निष्पक्ष न्याय के कारण हर्षित हो रहे हैं.
Let mount Sion rejoice, and the daughters of Juda be glad; because of thy judgments, O Lord.
12 ज़ियोन की परिक्रमा करते हुए, उसके स्तंभों की गणना करो.
Surround Sion, and encompass her: tell ye in her towers.
13 उसकी शहरपनाह पर दृष्टि लगाओ, उसके महलों का भ्रमण करो, कि तत्पश्चात तुम अगली पीढ़ी को इनके विषय में बता सको.
Set your hearts on her strength; and distribute her houses, that ye may relate it in another generation.
14 यही हैं वह परमेश्वर, जो युगानुयुग के लिए हमारे परमेश्वर हैं; वही अंत तक हमारी अगुवाई करते रहेंगे.
For this is God, our God unto eternity, and for ever and ever: he shall rule us for evermore.
