भजन संहिता 41

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. धन्य है वह मनुष्य, जो दरिद्र एवं दुर्बल की सुधि लेता है; याहवेह विपत्ति की स्थिति से उसका उद्धार करते हैं.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.

2 याहवेह उसे सुरक्षा प्रदान कर उसके जीवन की रक्षा करेंगे. वह अपने देश में आशीषित होगा. याहवेह उसे उसके शत्रुओं की इच्छापूर्ति के लिए नहीं छोड़ देंगे.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive, and he shall be blessed upon the earth; and deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies.

3 रोगशय्या पर याहवेह उसे संभालते रहेंगे, और उसे पुनःस्वस्थ करेंगे.

The LORD will support him upon the couch of languishing: thou makest all his bed in his sickness.

4 मैंने पुकारा, “याहवेह, मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए; यद्यपि मैंने आपके विरुद्ध पाप किया है, फिर भी मुझे रोगमुक्त कीजिए.”

I said, O LORD, have mercy upon me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5 बुराई भाव में मेरे शत्रु मेरे विषय में कामना करते हैं, “कब मरेगा वह और कब उसका नाम मिटेगा?”

Mine enemies speak evil against me, [saying], When shall he die, and his name perish?

6 जब कभी उनमें से कोई मुझसे भेंट करने आता है, वह खोखला दिखावा मात्र करता है, जबकि मन ही मन वह मेरे विषय में अधर्म की बातें संचय करता है; बाहर जाकर वह इनके आधार पर मेरी निंदा करता है.

And if he come to see [me], he speaketh vanity; his heart gathereth iniquity to itself: when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

7 मेरे समस्त शत्रु मिलकर मेरे विरुद्ध में कानाफूसी करते रहते हैं; वे मेरे संबंध में बुराई की योजना सोचते रहते हैं.

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

8 वे कहते हैं, “उसे एक घृणित रोग का संक्रमण हो गया है; अब वह इस रोगशय्या से कभी उठ न सकेगा.”

An evil disease, [say they], cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

9 यहां तक कि जो मेरा परम मित्र था, जिस पर मैं भरोसा करता था, जिसके साथ मैं भोजन करता था, उसी ने मुझ पर लात उठाई है.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10 किंतु याहवेह, आप मुझ पर कृपा करें; मुझमें पुनः बल-संचार करें कि मैं उनसे प्रतिशोध ले सकूं.

But thou, O LORD, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 इसलिये कि मेरा शत्रु मुझे नाश न कर सका, मैं समझ गया हूं कि आप मुझसे अप्रसन्‍न नहीं हैं.

By this I know that thou delightest in me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 मेरी सच्चाई के कारण मुझे स्थिर रखते हुए, सदा-सर्वदा के लिए अपनी उपस्थिति में मुझे बसा लीजिए.

And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 सर्वदा से सर्वदा तक इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, याहवेह का स्तवन होता रहे.

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
