भजन संहिता 4
1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. तार वाद्यों की संगत के साथ. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. हे मेरे धर्ममय परमेश्वर, जब मैं पुकारूं, मुझे उत्तर दें! आपने मेरे संकट के समय मेरी सहायता की; अब अपने अनुग्रह में मेरी प्रार्थना का उत्तर दें.
“To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm of David.” When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness: amidst distress thou hast [ever] granted me enlargement; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
2 मनुष्यो! कब तक तुम मेरा अपमान करते रहोगे? कब तक तुम छल से प्रेम और उसकी खोज करते रहोगे, जो निरर्थक है, जो मात्र झूठी ही है?
O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, will ye seek for lies? (Selah)
3 यह स्मरण रखो कि याहवेह ने अपने भक्त को अपने निमित्त अलग कर रखा है; जब मैं पुकारूं याहवेह मेरी सुनेंगे.
But know that the Lord hath set apart the pious for himself: the Lord will hear when I call on him.
4 श्रद्धा में पाप का परित्याग कर दो; शांत हो जाओ, बिछौने पर लेटे हुए आत्म-परीक्षण करो.
Tremble, and sin not: commune with your heart upon your bed, and be still (Selah)
5 व्यवस्था द्वारा निर्धारित बलि अर्पण करो और याहवेह पर भरोसा करो.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
6 अनेक हैं, जो कहते हैं, “कौन है, जो हमें यह दर्शाएगा कि क्या है उपयुक्त और क्या है भला?” याहवेह, हम पर अपने मुख का प्रकाश चमकाएं.
Many say, “Who will show us happiness? Let shine brightly over us the light of thy countenance, O Lord.”
7 जिन्हें अन्न और दाखमधु की बड़ी उपज प्राप्त हुई है, उनसे भी अधिक आनंद से आपने मेरे हृदय भर दिया है.
[But] thou hast placed more joy in my heart than at the time when their corn and their wine were increased.
8 मैं शांतिपूर्वक लेटूंगा और सो जाऊंगा, क्योंकि याहवेह, मात्र आप ही मुझे, सुरक्षापूर्ण विश्राम प्रदान करते हैं.
In peace, altogether, will I lay me down and sleep; for thou, Lord, alone, causest me to dwell in safety.
