भजन संहिता 33
1 धर्मियों, याहवेह के लिए हर्षोल्लास में गाओ; उनका स्तवन करना सीधे लोगों के लिए शोभनीय होता है.
Be joyful, O ye righteous, in the Lord; [for] unto the righteous praise is comely.
2 किन्नोर की संगत पर याहवेह का धन्यवाद करो; दस तंतुओं के नेबेल पर उनके लिए संगीत गाओ.
Give thanks unto the Lord with the harp: with the ten-stringed psaltery do ye sing [praises] unto him.
3 उनके स्तवन में एक नया गीत गाओ; कुशलतापूर्वक वादन करते हुए तन्मय होकर गाओ.
Sing unto him a new song; play beautifully amidst a triumphant shout.
4 क्योंकि याहवेह का वचन सत्य और खरा है; अपने हर एक कार्य में वह विश्वासयोग्य हैं.
For the word of the Lord is upright; and all his works [are done] in truth.
5 उन्हें धर्म तथा न्याय प्रिय हैं; समस्त पृथ्वी में याहवेह का करुणा-प्रेम व्याप्त है.
He loveth righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the kindness of the Lord.
6 स्वर्ग याहवेह के आदेश से ही अस्तित्व में आया, तथा समस्त नक्षत्र उनके ही मुख के उच्छ्वास के द्वारा बनाए गए.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
7 वे महासागर के जल को एक ढेर जल राशि के रूप में एकत्र कर देते हैं; और गहिरे सागरों को भण्डारगृह में रखते हैं.
He gathereth together like heaps the waters of the sea: he layeth up in store-houses the depths [of the sea].
8 समस्त पृथ्वी याहवेह को डरे; पृथ्वी के समस्त वासी उनके भय में निस्तब्ध खड़े हो जाएं.
Let all the earth fear the Lord: of him stand in awe all the inhabitants of the world.
9 क्योंकि उन्हीं के आदेश मात्र से यह पृथ्वी अस्तित्व में आई; उन्हीं के आदेश से यह स्थिर भी हो गई.
For he spoke, and it came into being: he commanded, and it stood fast.
10 याहवेह राष्ट्रों की युक्तियां व्यर्थ कर देते हैं; वह लोगों की योजनाओं को विफल कर देते हैं.
The Lord frustrateth the resolves of the nations: he bringeth to nought the thoughts of the people.
11 इसके विपरीत याहवेह की योजनाएं सदा-सर्वदा स्थायी बनी रहती हैं, उनके हृदय के विचार पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक बनी रहते हैं.
The counsel of the Lord will stand for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12 धन्य है वह राष्ट्र, जिसके परमेश्वर याहवेह हैं, वह प्रजा, जिसे उन्होंने अपना निज भाग चुन लिया.
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he hath chosen for himself as a heritage.
13 याहवेह स्वर्ग से पृथ्वी पर दृष्टि करते हैं, वह समस्त मनुष्यों को निहारते हैं;
The Lord looketh from heaven; he seeth all the sons of men.
14 वह अपने आवास से पृथ्वी के समस्त निवासियों का निरीक्षण करते रहते हैं.
From the place of his habitation he directeth his view upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 उन्हीं ने सब मनुष्यों के हृदय की रचना की, वही उनके सारे कार्यों को परखते रहते हैं.
He fashioneth their hearts altogether; he hath regard to all their works.
16 किसी भी राजा का उद्धार उसकी सेना की सामर्थ्य से नहीं होता; किसी भी शूर योद्धा का शौर्य उसको नहीं बचाता.
The king is not saved by the multitude of an army: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 विजय के लिए अश्व पर भरोसा करना निरर्थक है; वह कितना भी शक्तिशाली हो, उद्धार का कारण नहीं हो सकता.
Vain is the horse for victory: nor shall he deliver any by the greatness of his strength.
18 सुनो, याहवेह की दृष्टि उन सब पर स्थिर रहती है, जो उनके श्रद्धालु होते हैं, जिनका भरोसा उनके करुणा-प्रेम में बना रहता है,
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those that fear him, upon those that hope for his kindness.
19 कि वही उन्हें मृत्यु से उद्धार देकर अकाल में जीवित रखें.
To deliver from death their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 हम धैर्यपूर्वक याहवेह पर भरोसा रखे हुए हैं; वही हमारे सहायक एवं ढाल हैं.
Our soul waiteth for the Lord: our help and our shield is he.
21 उनमें ही हमारा हृदय आनंदित रहता है, उनकी पवित्र महिमा में ही हमें भरोसा है.
For in him shall our heart rejoice: because in his holy name have we trusted.
22 याहवेह, आपका करुणा-प्रेम हम पर बना रहे, हमने आप पर ही भरोसा रखा है.
Let thy kindness, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in thee.
