भजन संहिता 30

1 एक स्तोत्र. मंदिर के समर्पणोत्सव के लिए एक गीत, दावीद की रचना. याहवेह, मैं आपकी महिमा और प्रशंसा करूंगा, क्योंकि आपने मुझे गहराई में से बचा लिया है अब मेरे शत्रुओं को मुझ पर हंसने का संतोष प्राप्‍त न हो सकेगा.

A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House; [a Psalm] of David. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast raised me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 याहवेह, मेरे परमेश्वर, मैंने सहायता के लिए आपको पुकारा, आपने मुझे पुनःस्वस्थ कर दिया.

O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

3 याहवेह, आपने मुझे अधोलोक से ऊपर खींच लिया; आपने मुझे जीवनदान दिया, उनमें से बचा लिया, जो अधोलोक-कब्र में हैं. (Sheol h7585)

O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)

4 याहवेह के भक्तो, उनके स्तवन गान गाओ; उनकी महिमा में जय जयकार करो.

Sing praise unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks to his holy name.

5 क्योंकि क्षण मात्र का होता है उनका कोप, किंतु आजीवन स्थायी रहती है उनकी कृपादृष्टि; यह संभव है रोना रात भर रहे, किंतु सबेरा उल्लास से भरा होता है.

For his anger is but for a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may tarry for the night, but joy [cometh] in the morning.

6 अपनी समृद्धि की स्थिति में मैं कह उठा, “अब मुझ पर विषमता की स्थिति कभी न आएगी.”

As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

7 याहवेह, आपने ही मुझ पर कृपादृष्टि कर, मुझे पर्वत समान स्थिर कर दिया; किंतु जब आपने मुझसे अपना मुख छिपा लिया, तब मैं निराश हो गया.

Thou, LORD, of thy favour hadst made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

8 याहवेह, मैंने आपको पुकारा; मेरे प्रभु, मैंने आपसे कृपा की प्रार्थना की:

I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication:

9 “क्या लाभ होगा मेरी मृत्यु से, मेरे अधोलोक में जाने से? क्या मिट्टी आपकी स्तुति करेगी? क्या वह आपकी सच्चाई की साक्ष्य देगी?

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10 याहवेह, मेरी विनती सुनिए, मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए; याहवेह, मेरी सहायता कीजिए.”

Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

11 आपने मेरे विलाप को उल्‍लास-नृत्य में बदल दिया; आपने मेरे शोक-वस्त्र टाट उतारकर मुझे हर्ष का आवरण दे दिया,

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness:

12 कि मेरा हृदय सदा आपका गुणगान करता रहे और कभी चुप न रहे. याहवेह, मेरे परमेश्वर, मैं सदा-सर्वदा आपके प्रति आभार व्यक्त करता रहूंगा.

To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
