भजन संहिता 23

1 दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. याहवेह मेरे चरवाहा हैं, मुझे कोई घटी न होगी.

`The salm, ether the song of Dauid. The Lord gouerneth me, and no thing schal faile to me;

2 वह मुझे हरी-हरी चराइयों में विश्रान्ति प्रदान करते हैं, वह मुझे शांत स्फूर्ति देनेवाली जलधाराओं के निकट ले जाते हैं.

in the place of pasture there he hath set me. He nurschide me on the watir of refreischyng;

3 वह मेरे प्राण में नवजीवन का संचार करते हैं. वह अपनी ही महिमा के निमित्त मुझे धर्म के मार्ग पर लिए चलते हैं.

he conuertide my soule. He ledde me forth on the pathis of riytfulnesse; for his name.

4 यद्यपि मैं भयानक अंधकारमय घाटी में से होकर आगे बढ़ता हूं, तौभी मैं किसी बुराई से भयभीत नहीं होता, क्योंकि आप मेरे साथ होते हैं, आपकी लाठी और आपकी छड़ी, मेरे आश्वासन हैं.

For whi thouy Y schal go in the myddis of schadewe of deeth; Y schal not drede yuels, for thou art with me. Thi yerde and thi staf; tho han coumfortid me.

5 आप मेरे शत्रुओं के सामने मेरे लिए उत्कृष्ट भोजन परोसते हैं. आप तेल से मेरे सिर को मला करते हैं; मेरा प्याला उमड़ रहा है.

Thou hast maad redi a boord in my siyt; ayens hem that troblen me. Thou hast maad fat myn heed with oyle; and my cuppe, `fillinge greetli, is ful cleer.

6 निश्चयतः कुशल मंगल और करुणा-प्रेम आजीवन मेरे साथ साथ बने रहेंगे, और मैं सदा-सर्वदा याहवेह के आवास में, निवास करता रहूंगा.

And thi merci schal sue me; in alle the daies of my lijf. And that Y dwelle in the hows of the Lord; in to the lengthe of daies.
