भजन संहिता 20

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. संकट के समय याहवेह आपकी प्रार्थना का उत्तर दें; याकोब के परमेश्वर में आपकी सुरक्षा हो.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;

2 वह अपने पवित्र आवास में से आपके लिए सहायता प्रदान करें, ज़ियोन से आपकी सहायता का प्रबंध हो.

Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

3 परमेश्वर आपकी समस्त बलियों का स्मरण रखें, आपकी अग्निबलि उन्हें स्वीकार्य हो.

Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; (Selah)

4 वह आपके हृदय का मनोरथ पूर्ण करें, आपकी समस्त योजनाएं सफल हों!

Grant thee thy heart’s desire, and fulfill all thy counsel.

5 आपके उद्धार होने पर हम हर्षोल्लास में जय जयकार करेंगे, तथा अपने परमेश्वर के नाम में ध्वजा ऊंची करेंगे. हमारी कामना है कि याहवेह आपकी सारी प्रार्थनाएं सुनकर उन्हें पूर्ण करें.

We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions.

6 अब मुझे यह आश्वासन प्राप्‍त हो गया है: कि याहवेह अपने अभिषिक्त को सुरक्षा प्रदान करते हैं. वह अपने पवित्र स्वर्ग से अपनी भुजा के सुरक्षा देनेवाले सामर्थ्य के द्वारा उन्हें प्रत्युत्तर देते हैं.

Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he wilt answer him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 कुछ को रथों का, तो कुछ को अपने घोड़ों पर भरोसा हैं, किंतु हमें भरोसा है याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर के नाम पर.

Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.

8 वे लड़खड़ाते हैं और उनका पतन हो जाता है, किंतु हमारा जय होता है और हम स्थिर रहते हैं.

They are bowed down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

9 याहवेह, महाराजा को विजय प्रदान करें! हम जब भी पुकारें, हमें प्रत्युत्तर दें!

Save, LORD: let the King answer us when we call.
