भजन संहिता 143
1 दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. याहवेह, मेरी प्रार्थना सुन लीजिए, कृपा करके मेरे गिड़गिड़ाने पर ध्यान दीजिए; अपनी सच्चाई में, अपनी नीतिमत्त में मुझे उत्तर दीजिए.
A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD; give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, [and] in thy righteousness.
2 अपने सेवक का न्याय कर उसे दंड न दीजिए, क्योंकि आपके सामने कोई भी मनुष्य धर्मी नहीं है.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3 शत्रु मेरा पीछा कर रहा है, उसने मुझे कुचलकर मेरे प्राण को धूल में मिला दिया है. उसने मुझे ऐसे अंधकार में ला बैठाया है, जैसा दीर्घ काल से मृत पुरुष के लिए होता है.
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground: he hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
4 मैं पूर्णतः दुर्बल हो चुका हूं; मेरे हृदय को भय ने भीतर ही भीतर भयभीत कर दिया है.
Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5 मुझे प्राचीन काल स्मरण आ रहा है; आपके वे समस्त महाकार्य मेरे विचारों का विषय हैं, आपके हस्तकार्य मेरे मनन का विषय हैं.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy doings: I muse on the work of thy hands.
6 अपने हाथ मैं आपकी ओर बढ़ाता हूं; आपके लिए मेरी लालसा वैसी है जैसी शुष्क वन में एक प्यासे पुरुष की होती है.
I spread forth my hands unto thee: my soul [thirsteth] after thee, as a weary land. (Selah)
7 याहवेह, शीघ्र ही मुझे उत्तर दीजिए; मेरी आत्मा दुर्बल हो चुकी है. अपना मुख मुझसे छिपा न लीजिए अन्यथा मेरी भी नियति वही हो जाएगी, जो उनकी होती है, जो कब्र में समा जाते हैं.
Make haste to answer me, O LORD; my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me; lest I become like them that go down into the pit.
8 मैंने आप पर ही भरोसा किया है, तब अरुणोदय मेरे लिए आपके करुणा-प्रेम का संदेश लेकर आए. मुझे मेरे लिए निर्धारित मार्ग पर चलना है वह बताइए, क्योंकि मेरे प्राणों की पुकार आपके ही ओर लगी है.
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9 हे याहवेह, मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से छुड़ा लीजिए, आश्रय के लिए मैं दौड़ा हुआ आपके निकट आया हूं.
Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10 मुझे अपनी इच्छा के आज्ञापालन की शिक्षा दीजिए, क्योंकि मेरे परमेश्वर आप हैं; आपका धन्य आत्मा मुझे धर्म पथ की ओर ले जाए.
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me in the land of uprightness.
11 याहवेह, अपनी महिमा के निमित्त मेरे प्राणों का परिरक्षण कीजिए; अपनी धार्मिकता में मेरे प्राणों को संकट से बचा लीजिए.
Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name’s sake: in thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
12 अपने करुणा-प्रेम में मेरे शत्रुओं की हत्या कीजिए; मेरे समस्त विरोधियों को भी नष्ट कर दीजिए, क्योंकि मैं आपका सेवक हूं.
And in thy lovingkindness cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul; for I am thy servant.
