भजन संहिता 138

1 दावीद की रचना. याहवेह, मैं हृदय की गहराई से आपका स्तवन करूंगा; मैं “देवताओं” के सामने आपका स्तवन करूंगा.

I will praise thee, O lord, with my whole heart: for thou hast heard the words of my mouth. I will sing praise to thee in the sight of his angels:

2 आपके पवित्र मंदिर की ओर मुख कर मैं नतमस्तक हूं, आपके करुणा-प्रेम के लिए; आपकी सच्चाई के लिए मैं आपके नाम का आभार मानता हूं; आपने अपने वचन को अपनी महिमा के भी ऊपर ऊंचा किया है.

I will worship towards thy holy temple, and I will give glory to thy name. For thy mercy, and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy holy name above all.

3 जिस समय मैंने आपको पुकारा, आपने प्रत्युत्तर दिया; आपने मेरे प्राणों में बल के संचार से धैर्य दिया.

In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me: thou shall multiply strength in my soul.

4 पृथ्वी के समस्त राजा, याहवेह, आपके कृतज्ञ होंगे, क्योंकि उन्होंने आपके मुख से निकले वचन सुने हैं,

May all the kings of the earth give glory to thee: for they have heard all the words of thy mouth.

5 वे याहवेह की नीतियों का गुणगान करेंगे, क्योंकि याहवेह का तेज बड़ा है.

And let them sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.

6 यद्यपि याहवेह स्वयं महान हैं, वह नगण्यों का ध्यान रखते हैं; किंतु अहंकारी को वह दूर से ही पहचान लेते हैं.

For the Lord is high, and looketh on the low: and the high he knoweth afar off.

7 यद्यपि इस समय मेरा विषम समय चल रहा है, आप मेरे जीवन के रक्षक हैं. आप ही अपना हाथ बढ़ाकर मेरे शत्रुओं के प्रकोप से मेरी रक्षा करते हैं; आपका दायां हाथ मेरा उद्धार करता है.

If I shall walk in the midst of tribulation, thou wilt quicken me: and thou hast stretched forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies: and thy right hand hath saved me.

8 याहवेह मेरे लिए निर्धारित उद्देश्य को पूरा करेंगे; याहवेह, सर्वदा है आपका करुणा-प्रेम. अपनी ही हस्तकृति का परित्याग न कीजिए.

The Lord will repay for me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: O despise not the work of thy hands.
