भजन संहिता 131

1 आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. दावीद की रचना. याहवेह, मेरा हृदय न तो अहंकार से फूल रहा है, और न मेरी आंखें घमंड में चढ़ी हुई हैं; मेरी रुचि न तो असाधारण उपलब्धियों में है, न चमत्कारों में.

“A song of the degrees by David.” O Lord, my heart was not haughty, nor were my eyes lofty: neither have I walked after matters too great, or those too wonderful for me.

2 मैंने अपने प्राणों को शांत और चुप कर लिया है, जैसे माता की गोद में तृप्‍त शिशु; मेरा प्राण अब ऐसे ही शिशु-समान शांत है.

Surely I have pacified and stilled my soul, like the suckling on its mother's breast: like a suckling is in me my soul.

3 इस्राएल, याहवेह पर भरोसा रखो इस समय और सदा-सर्वदा.

Let Israel wait for the Lord from this time forth and for ever more.
