भजन संहिता 130

1 आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. याहवेह, गहराइयों में से मैं आपको पुकार रहा हूं;

A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths, have I cried unto thee, O Yahweh.

2 हे प्रभु, मेरा स्वर सुन लीजिए, कृपा के लिए मेरी नम्र विनती की ओर आपके कान लगे रहें.

O My Lord! hearken thou unto my voice, —Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications,

3 याहवेह, यदि आप अपराधों का लेखा रखने लगें, तो प्रभु, कौन ठहर सकेगा?

If, iniquities, thou shouldest mark, O Yah, O My Lord, who could stand?

4 किंतु आप क्षमा शील हैं, तब आप श्रद्धा के योग्य हैं.

But, with thee, is forgiveness, that thou mayest be revered.

5 मुझे, मेरे प्राणों को, याहवेह की प्रतीक्षा रहती है, उनके वचन पर मैंने आशा रखी है.

I have waited for Yahweh, My soul hath waited for his word;

6 मुझे प्रभु की प्रतीक्षा है उन रखवालों से भी अधिक, जिन्हें सूर्योदय की प्रतीक्षा रहती है, वस्तुतः उन रखवालों से कहीं अधिक जिन्हें भोर की प्रतीक्षा रहती है.

I have hoped, O my soul, for My Lord, more than they who watch for the morning, who watch for the morning.

7 इस्राएल, याहवेह पर भरोसा रखो, क्योंकि जहां याहवेह हैं वहां करुणा-प्रेम भी है और वही पूरा छुटकारा देनेवाले हैं.

Wait, O Israel, for Yahweh, —for, with Yahweh, is lovingkindness, and there aboundeth with him—redemption.

8 स्वयं वही इस्राएल को, उनके अपराधों को क्षमा करेंगे.

He, therefore, will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
