भजन संहिता 124

1 आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. दावीद की रचना. यदि हमारे पक्ष में याहवेह न होते— इस्राएली राष्ट्र यही कहे—

A Song of Ascents; of David. 'If it had not been the LORD who was for us', let Israel now say;

2 यदि हमारे पक्ष में याहवेह न होते जब मनुष्यों ने हम पर आक्रमण किया था,

'If it had not been the LORD who was for us, when men rose up against us,

3 जब उनका क्रोध हम पर भड़क उठा था वे हमें जीवित ही निगल गए होते;

Then they had swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;

4 बाढ़ ने हमें जलमग्न कर दिया होता, जल प्रवाह हमें बहा ले गया होता,

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul;

5 उग्र जल प्रवाह हमें दूर बहा ले गया होता.

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.'

6 स्तवन हो याहवेह का, जिन्होंने हमें उनके दांतों से फाड़े जाने से बचा लिया है.

Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 हम उस पक्षी के समान हैं, जो बहेलिए के जाल से बच निकला है; वह जाल टूट गया, और हम बच निकले.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 हमारी सहायता याहवेह के नाम से है, जो स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी के कर्ता हैं.

Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
