भजन संहिता 122

1 आराधना के लिए यात्रियों का गीत. दावीद की रचना. जब यात्रियों ने मेरे सामने यह प्रस्ताव रखा, “चलो, याहवेह के आवास को चलें,” मैं अत्यंत उल्‍लसित हुआ.

A Song of degrees. Of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.

2 येरूशलेम, हम तुम्हारे द्वार पर खड़े हुए हैं.

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 येरूशलेम उस नगर के समान निर्मित है, जो संगठित रूप में बसा हुआ है.

Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,

4 यही है वह स्थान, जहां विभिन्‍न कुल, याहवेह के कुल, याहवेह के नाम के प्रति आभार प्रदर्शित करने के लिए जाया करते हैं जैसा कि उन्हें आदेश दिया गया था.

Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

5 यहीं न्याय-सिंहासन स्थापित हैं, दावीद के वंश के सिंहासन.

For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 येरूशलेम की शांति के निमित्त यह प्रार्थना की जाए: “समृद्ध हों वे, जिन्हें तुझसे प्रेम है.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7 तुम्हारी प्राचीरों की सीमा के भीतर शांति व्याप्‍त रहे तथा तुम्हारे राजमहलों में तुम्हारे लिए सुरक्षा बनी रहें.”

Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.

8 अपने भाइयों और मित्रों के निमित्त मेरी यही कामना है, “तुम्हारे मध्य शांति स्थिर रहे.”

For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!

9 याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन के निमित्त, मैं तुम्हारी समृद्धि की अभिलाषा करता हूं.

Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.
