भजन संहिता 118

1 याहवेह का धन्यवाद करो, क्योंकि वे भले हैं, सनातन है उनकी करुणा.

Oh give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

2 इस्राएल यह नारा लगाए: “सनातन है उनकी करुणा.”

Let Israel now say, That his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

3 अहरोन के परिवार का यह नारा हो: “सनातन है उनकी करुणा”

Let the house of Aaron now say, That his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

4 याहवेह के समस्त श्रद्धालुओं का यह नारा हो: “सनातन है उनकी करुणा.”

Let them now that fear Jehovah say, That his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

5 अपने संकट की स्थिति में मैंने याहवेह को पुकारा; और प्रत्युत्तर में वे मुझे एक विशाल स्थान पर ले आये.

Out of my distress I called upon Jehovah: Jehovah answered me [and set me] in a large place.

6 मुझे कोई भय न होगा, क्योंकि याहवेह मेरे साथ हैं. मनुष्य मेरा क्या बिगाड़ सकता है?

Jehovah is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me?

7 मेरे साथ याहवेह हैं; वह मेरे सहायक हैं. मैं स्वयं अपने शत्रुओं का पराजय देखूंगा.

Jehovah is on my side among them that help me: Therefore shall I see [my desire] upon them that hate me.

8 मनुष्य पर भरोसा करने की अपेक्षा याहवेह का आश्रय लेना उत्तम है.

It is better to take refuge in Jehovah Than to put confidence in man.

9 न्यायियों पर भरोसा करने की अपेक्षा से याहवेह का आश्रय लेना उत्तम है.

It is better to take refuge in Jehovah Than to put confidence in princes.

10 सब राष्ट्रों ने मुझे घेर लिया था, किंतु याहवेह के नाम में मैंने उन्हें नाश कर दिया.

All nations compassed me about: In the name of Jehovah I will cut them off.

11 मैं चारों ओर से घिर चुका था, किंतु याहवेह के नाम में मैंने उन्हें नाश कर दिया.

They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: In the name of Jehovah I will cut them off.

12 उन्होंने मुझे उसी प्रकार घेर लिया था, जिस प्रकार मधुमक्खियां किसी को घेर लेती हैं, किंतु मेरे सब शत्रु वैसे ही शीघ्र नाश हो गए जैसे अग्नि में जलती कंटीली झाड़ी; याहवेह के नाम में मैंने उन्हें नाश कर दिया.

They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: In the name of Jehovah I will cut them off.

13 इस सीमा तक मेरा पीछा किया गया, कि मैं टूटने पर ही था, किंतु याहवेह ने आकर मेरी सहायता की.

Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; But Jehovah helped me.

14 मेरा बल और मेरा गीत याहवेह हैं; वे मेरा उद्धार बन गए हैं.

Jehovah is my strength and song; And he is become my salvation.

15 धर्मियों के मंडप से ये उल्‍लासपूर्ण जयघोष प्रतिध्वनित हो रही हैं: “याहवेह के दायें हाथ ने महाकार्य किए हैं!

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: The right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly.

16 याहवेह का दायां हाथ ऊंचा उठा हुआ है; याहवेह के दायें हाथ ने महाकार्य किए हैं!”

The right hand of Jehovah is exalted: The right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly.

17 मैं जीवित रहूंगा, मेरी मृत्यु नहीं होगी, और मैं याहवेह के महाकार्य की उद्घोषणा करता रहूंगा.

I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of Jehovah.

18 कठोर थी मुझ पर याहवेह की प्रताड़ना, किंतु उन्होंने मुझे मृत्यु के हाथों में नहीं सौंप दिया.

Jehovah hath chastened me sore; But he hath not given me over unto death.

19 मेरे लिए धार्मिकता के द्वार खोल दिए जाएं; कि मैं उनमें से प्रवेश करके याहवेह को आभार भेंट अर्पित कर सकूं.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto Jehovah.

20 यह याहवेह का प्रवेश द्वार है, जिसमें से धर्मी ही प्रवेश करेंगे.

This is the gate of Jehovah; The righteous shall enter into it.

21 याहवेह, मैं आपको आभार भेंट अर्पित करूंगा; क्योंकि आपने मेरी प्रार्थना सुन ली; आप मेरे उद्धारक हो गए हैं.

I will give thanks unto thee; for thou hast answered me, And art become my salvation.

22 भवन निर्माताओं द्वारा अयोग्य घोषित शिला ही आधारशिला बन गई है;

The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner.

23 यह कार्य याहवेह का है, हमारी दृष्टि में अद्भुत.

This is Jehovah’s doing; It is marvellous in our eyes.

24 यह याहवेह द्वारा बनाया गया दिन है; आओ, हम आनंद में उल्‍लसित हों.

This is the day which Jehovah hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 याहवेह, हमारी रक्षा कीजिए! याहवेह, हमें समृद्धि दीजिए!

Save now, we beseech thee, O Jehovah: O Jehovah, we beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 स्तुत्य हैं वह, जो याहवेह के नाम में आ रहे हैं. हम याहवेह के आवास से आपका अभिनंदन करते हैं.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah: We have blessed you out of the house of Jehovah.

27 याहवेह ही परमेश्वर हैं, उन्होंने हम पर अपनी रोशनी डाली है. उत्सव के बलि पशु को वेदी के सींगों से बांध दो.

Jehovah is God, and he hath given us light: Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 आप ही मेरे परमेश्वर हैं, मैं आपके प्रति आभार व्यक्त करूंगा; आप ही मेरे परमेश्वर हैं, मैं आपका गुणगान करूंगा.

Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto thee: Thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

29 याहवेह का धन्यवाद करो, क्योंकि वे भले हैं, सनातन है उनकी करुणा.

Oh give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.
