भजन संहिता 109
1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद की रचना. एक स्तोत्र. परमेश्वर, मेरे स्तुति पात्र, निष्क्रिय और चुप न रहिए.
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. Holde not thy tongue, O God of my praise.
2 दुष्ट और झूठे पुरुषों ने मेरी निंदा करना प्रारंभ कर दिया है; वे जो कुछ कहकर मेरी निंदा कर रहे हैं, वह सभी झूठ है.
For the mouth of the wicked, and the mouth full of deceite are opened vpon me: they haue spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3 उन्होंने मुझ पर घिनौने शब्दों की बौछार कर दी; अकारण ही उन्होंने मुझ पर आक्रमण कर दिया है.
They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4 उन्होंने मेरी मैत्री के बदले मुझ पर आरोप लगाये, किंतु मैं प्रार्थना का आदमी हूं!
For my friendship they were mine aduersaries, but I gaue my selfe to praier.
5 उन्होंने मेरे हित का प्रतिफल बुराई में दिया है, तथा मेरी मैत्री का प्रतिफल घृणा में.
And they haue rewarded me euil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
6 आप उसका प्रतिरोध करने के लिए किसी दुष्ट पुरुष को ही बसा लीजिए; उसके दायें पक्ष पर कोई विरोधी खड़ा हो जाए.
Set thou the wicked ouer him, and let the aduersarie stand at his right hand.
7 जब उस पर न्याय चलाया जाए तब वह दोषी पाया जाए, उसकी प्रार्थनाएं उसके लिए दंड-आज्ञा हो जाएं.
Whe he shalbe iudged, let him be condemned, and let his praier be turned into sinne.
8 उसकी आयु कम हो जाए; उसके पद को कोई अन्य हड़प ले.
Let his daies be fewe, and let another take his charge.
9 उसकी संतान पितृहीन हो जाए तथा उसकी पत्नी विधवा.
Let his children be fatherlesse, and his wife a widowe.
10 उसकी संतान भटकें और भीख मांगें; वे अपने उजड़े घर से दूर जाकर भोजन के लिए तरस जाएं.
Let his children be vagabonds and beg and seeke bread, comming out of their places destroyed.
11 महाजन उसका सर्वस्व हड़प लें; उसके परिश्रम की संपूर्ण निधि परदेशी लोग लूट लें.
Let the extortioner catch al that he hath, and let the strangers spoile his labour.
12 उसे किसी की भी कृपा प्राप्त न हो और न कोई उसकी पितृहीन संतान पर करुणा प्रदर्शित करे.
Let there be none to extend mercie vnto him: neither let there be any to shewe mercie vpon his fatherlesse children.
13 उसका वंश ही मिट जाए, आगामी पीढ़ी की सूची से उनका नाम मिट जाए.
Let his posteritie be destroied, and in the generation following let their name be put out.
14 याहवेह के सामने उसके पूर्वजों का अपराध स्मरण दिलाया जाए; उसकी माता का पाप कभी क्षमा न किया जाए.
Let the iniquitie of his fathers bee had in remembrance with the Lord: and let not the sinne of his mother be done away.
15 याहवेह के सामने उन सभी के पाप बने रहें, कि वह उन सबका नाम पृथ्वी पर से ही मिटा दें.
But let them alway be before the Lord, that he may cut off their memorial from ye earth.
16 करुणाभाव उसके मन में कभी आया ही नहीं, वह खोज कर निर्धनों, दीनों तथा खेदितमनवालों की हत्या करता है.
Because he remembred not to shew mercie, but persecuted the afflicted and poore man, and the sorowfull hearted to slay him.
17 शाप देना उसे अत्यंत प्रिय है, वही शाप उस पर आ पड़े. किसी की हितकामना करने में उसे कोई आनंद प्राप्त नहीं होता— उत्तम यही होगा कि हित उससे ही दूर-दूर बना रहे.
As he loued cursing, so shall it come vnto him, and as he loued not blessing, so shall it be farre from him.
18 उसके लिए वस्त्र धारण करने जैसे ही हो गया शाप देना; जैसा जल शरीर का अंश होता है; वैसे ही हो गया शाप, हां, जैसे तेल हड्डियों का अंश हो जाता है!
As he clothed himselfe with cursing like a rayment, so shall it come into his bowels like water, and like oyle into his bones.
19 शाप ही उसका वस्त्र बन जाए, कटिबंध समान, जो सदैव समेटे रहता है.
Let it be vnto him as a garment to couer him, and for a girdle, wherewith he shalbe alway girded.
20 याहवेह की ओर से मेरे विरोधियों के लिए यही प्रतिफल हो, उनके लिए, जो मेरी निंदा करते रहते हैं.
Let this be the rewarde of mine aduersarie from the Lord, and of them, that speake euill against my soule.
21 किंतु आप, सर्वसत्ताधारी याहवेह, अपनी महिमा के अनुरूप मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए; अपने करुणा-प्रेम के कारण मेरा उद्धार कीजिए.
But thou, O Lord my God, deale with me according vnto thy Name: deliuer me, (for thy mercie is good)
22 मैं दीन और दरिद्र हूं, और मेरा हृदय घायल है.
Because I am poore and needie, and mine heart is wounded within me.
23 संध्याकालीन छाया-समान मेरा अस्तित्व समाप्ति पर है; मुझे ऐसे झाड़ दिया जाता है मानो मैं अरबेह टिड्डी हूं.
I depart like the shadowe that declineth, and am shaken off as the grashopper.
24 उपवास के कारण मेरे घुटने दुर्बल हो चुके हैं; मेरा शरीर क्षीण और कमजोर हो गया है.
My knees are weake through fasting, and my flesh hath lost all fatnes.
25 मेरे विरोधियों के लिए मैं घृणास्पद हो चुका हूं; मुझे देखते ही वे सिर हिलाने लगते हैं.
I became also a rebuke vnto them: they that looked vpon me, shaked their heads.
26 याहवेह मेरे परमेश्वर, मेरी सहायता कीजिए; अपने करुणा-प्रेम के कारण मेरा उद्धार कीजिए.
Helpe me, O Lord my God: saue me according to thy mercie.
27 उनको यह स्पष्ट हो जाए कि, वह आपके बाहुबल के कारण ही हो रहा है, यह कि याहवेह, यह सब आपने ही किया है.
And they shall know, that this is thine hand, and that thou, Lord, hast done it.
28 वे शाप देते रहें, किंतु आप आशीर्वचन ही कहें; तब जब वे, आक्रमण करेंगे, उन्हें लज्जित होना पड़ेगा, यह आपके सेवक के लिए आनंद का विषय होगा.
Though they curse, yet thou wilt blesse: they shall arise and be confounded, but thy seruant shall reioyce.
29 मेरे विरोधियों को अनादर के वस्त्रों के समान धारण करनी होगी, वे अपनी ही लज्जा को कंबल जैसे लपेट लेंगे.
Let mine aduersaries be clothed with shame, and let them couer themselues with their confusion, as with a cloke.
30 मेरे मुख की वाणी याहवेह के सम्मान में उच्चतम धन्यवाद होगी; विशाल जनसमूह के सामने मैं उनका स्तवन करूंगा,
I will giue thankes vnto the Lord greatly with my mouth and praise him among ye multitude.
31 क्योंकि याहवेह दुःखितों के निकट दायें पक्ष पर आ खड़े रहते हैं, कि वह उनके जीवन को उन सबसे सुरक्षा प्रदान करें, जिन्होंने उसके लिए मृत्यु दंड निर्धारित किया था.
For he will stand at the right hand of the poore, to saue him from them that woulde condemne his soule.
