1 इस महामारी के बाद याहवेह ने मोशेह तथा पुरोहित अहरोन के पुत्र एलिएज़र को आज्ञा दी,
After the plague was over, the Lord told Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,
2 “पितरों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष से अधिक आयु के हर एक इस्राएली की, जो युद्ध के लिए सक्षम हो, गिनती करो.”
“Census all the Israelites by family—all those twenty years of age or older who are eligible for military service in the army of Israel.”
3 फिर मोशेह तथा पुरोहित एलिएज़र ने मोआब के मैदानों में उन्हें यरदन तट पर, जो येरीख़ो के निकट है, यह आज्ञा दी,
There on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan opposite Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest gave the order,
4 “बीस वर्ष से अधिक आयु के व्यक्तियों की गिनती की जाए, जैसा कि याहवेह द्वारा मोशेह को आदेश दिया गया है.” इस अवसर पर मिस्र देश से निकाले गए इस्राएल वंशज ये थे:
“Census the men twenty years of age or older, following the instructions the Lord gave to Moses.” The following is the genealogical record of those who left the land of Egypt.

These were the descendants of Reuben, Israel's firstborn: Hanoch, ancestor of the Hanochite family; Pallu, ancestor of the Palluite family;

Hezron, ancestor of the Hezronite family; and Carmi, ancestor of the Carmite family.
7 रियूबेन के परिवार में यह ही परिवार समूह थे, और इनसे जो गिने गये वे 43,730 थे.
These were the families descended from Reuben and they numbered 43,730.
8 पल्लू का पुत्र एलियाब था,
Pallu's son was Eliab,
9 एलियाब के तीन पुत्र थे—नमूएल, दाथान और अबीराम. याद रखो कि दाथान और अबीराम वे दो नेता थे, जो मोशेह और अहरोन के विरोधी हो गए थे. वे कोराह के अनुयायी थे और कोराह याहवेह का विरोधी हो गया था.
and Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. (It was Dathan and Abiram, leaders chosen by the Israelites, who joined the rebellion against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah when they rebelled against the Lord.
10 वही समय था जब भूमि विभाजित हो गई थी और कोराह एवं उसके सभी अनुयायियों को निगल गई थी. कुल दो सौ पचास पुरुष मर गये थे. यह इस्राएल के सभी लोगों के लिए एक संकेत और चेतावनी थी.
The earth opened up and swallowed them down, along with Korah. His followers died when the fire burned up 250 men. What happened to them was a warning to the Israelites.

But Korah's sons didn't die.)

13 ज़ेराह से जेराही परिवार; शाऊल से शाऊल परिवार.
Zerah, ancestor of the Zerahite family; and Shaul, ancestor of the Shaulite family.

21 पेरेज़ के ये परिवार हैं: हेज़रोन से हेज़रोनी परिवार; हामुल से हामूली परिवार.
These were the descendants of Perez: Hezron, ancestor of the Hezronite family; and Hamul, ancestor of the Hamulite family.
22 यहूदाह के परिवार समूह के वे परिवार थे. इनके कुल पुरुषों की संख्या 76,500 थी.
These were the families descended from Judah and they numbered 76,500.
23 इस्साखार के परिवार समूह के परिवार ये थे: तोला से तोला परिवार; पुव्वाह से पुव्वा परिवार;
These were the descendants of Issachar by family: Tola, ancestor of the Tolaite family; Puvah, ancestor of the Punite family;
24 याशूब से याशूब परिवार; शिम्रोन से शिम्रोन परिवार;
Jashub, ancestor of the Jashubite family; and Shimron, ancestor of the Shimronite family.

These were the families descended from Isaachar and they numbered 64,300.
26 ज़ेबुलून के परिवार समूह के परिवार ये थे: सेरेद से सेरेद परिवार; एलोन से एलोन परिवार; याहलील से याहलील परिवार;
These were the descendants of Zebulun by family: Sered, ancestor of the Seredite family; Elon, ancestor of the Elonite family; and Jahleel, ancestor of the Jahleelite family.
27 ज़ेबुलून के परिवार समूह के वे परिवार थे; इनमें कुल पुरुषों की संख्या 60,500 थी.
These were the families descended from Zebulun, and they numbered 60, 500.
28 योसेफ़ के दो पुत्र मनश्शेह और एफ्राईम थे. हर एक पुत्र अपने परिवारों के साथ परिवार समूह बन गया था.
These were descendants of Joseph by family through Manasseh and Ephraim:

(Zelophehad, son of Hepher, didn't have any sons, only daughters. Their names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.)
34 मनश्शेह परिवार समूह के ये परिवार हैं; इनमें कुल पुरुष 52,700 थे.
These were the families descended from Manasseh, and they numbered 52,700.
35 एफ्राईम के परिवार समूह के ये परिवार थे: शूतेलाह से शूतेलाही परिवार; बेकेर से बेकेरी परिवार; तहान से तहानी परिवार;
These were the descendants of Ephraim by family: Shuthelah, ancestor of the Shuthelahite family; Becher, ancestor of the Becherite family; and Tahan, ancestor of the Tahanite family.
36 एरान शूतेलाह परिवार का था: उसका परिवार एरनी था.
The descendant of Shuthelah was Eran, ancestor of the Eranite family.
37 एफ्राईम के परिवार समूह में ये परिवार थे; कुल पुरुषों की संख्या इसमें 32,500 थी. वे ऐसे सभी लोग हैं जो योसेफ़ के परिवार समूहों के हैं.
These were the families descended from Ephraim, and they numbered 32,500. These families were the descendants of Joseph.
38 बिन्यामिन के परिवार समूह के परिवार ये थे: बेला से बेला परिवार; अशबेल से अशबेली परिवार; अहीराम से अहीरामी परिवार;
These were the descendants of Benjamin by family: Bela, ancestor of the Belaite family; Ashbel, ancestor of the Ashbelite family; Ahiram, ancestor of the Ahiramite family;
39 शपूआमि से शपूआमि परिवार; हूपाम से हूपामी परिवार.
Shupham, ancestor of the Shuphamite family; and Hupham, ancestor of the Huphamite family.

The total of all those counted was 601,730.
52 याहवेह ने मोशेह से कहा,
The Lord told Moses,
53 “हर एक परिवार समूह के लिये, जिन्हें गिना गया है, मीरास में पर्याप्त भूमि दी जाएगी.
“Divide the land that is to be owned based on the number of those censused.
54 बड़ा परिवार समूह अधिक भूमि पाएगा, और छोटा परिवार समूह कम भूमि पाएगा. किंतु हर एक परिवार समूह को भूमि मिलेगी जिसके लिए मैंने वचन दिया है, और जो भूमि वे पाएंगे वह उनकी गिनी गई संख्या के बराबर होगी.
Give a larger area of land to large tribe, and a smaller area to a smaller tribe. Each tribe shall receive their allotment of land depending on their number counted in the census.
55 हर एक परिवार समूह को लाटरी के आधार पर निश्चय करके धरती दी जाएगी और उस प्रदेश का वही नाम होगा जो उस परिवार समूह का होगा.
The land has to be divided up by casting lots. Everyone shall receive their allotted land based on the name of their ancestor's tribe.
56 वह प्रदेश बड़े और छोटे परिवार समूहों को पासे फेंककर मीरास बांट दिया जाएगा.”
Every allocation of land is to be divided by casting lots among the tribes, whether large or small.”
57 लेवी का परिवार समूह भी गिना गया. लेवी के परिवार समूह के ये परिवार हैं: गेरशोन से गेरशोनी परिवार; कोहाथ से कोहाथ परिवार; मेरारी से मेरारी परिवार.
These were the Levites censused by family: Gershon, ancestor of the Gershonite family; Kohath, ancestor of the Kohathite family; and Merari, ancestor of the Merarite family.
58 लेवी के परिवार समूह से ये परिवार भी थे: लिबनी परिवार, हेब्रोनी परिवार, माहली परिवार, मूशी परिवार, कोहाथ परिवार, (अमराम कहात के परिवार समूह का था;
The following were the families of the Levites: the Libnite family, the Hebronite family, the Mahlite family, the Mushite family, and the Korahite family. Kohath was the father of Amram,
59 अमराम की पत्नी का नाम योकेबेद था. वह भी लेवी के परिवार समूह की थी. उसका जन्म मिस्र में हुआ था. अमराम और योकेबेद के दो पुत्र अहरोन और मोशेह थे. उनकी एक पुत्री मिरियम भी थी.
and the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed. She was a descendant of Levi, born while the Levites were in Egypt. She had children with Amram: Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.
60 नादाब, अबीहू, एलिएज़र तथा इथामार का पिता था अहरोन.
Aaron's sons were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar,
61 किंतु नादाब और अबीहू मर गए; क्योंकि उन्होंने याहवेह को उस आग से भेंट चढ़ाई जो उनके लिए स्वीकृत नहीं थी.)
but Nadab and Abihu died when they offered forbidden fire in the Lord's presence.
62 लेवी परिवार समूह के सभी पुरुषों की संख्या 23,000 थी. किंतु ये लोग इस्राएल के अन्य लोगों के साथ नहीं गिने गए थे. वे भूमि नहीं पा सके, जिसे अन्य लोगों को देने का वचन याहवेह ने दिया था.
The number of the Levites censused totaled 23,000. This included every male one month old or older. However, they were not counted with the other Israelites, because no land allotment was given to them with the other Israelites.
63 मोशेह और पुरोहित एलिएज़र ने इन सभी लोगों को गिना. उन्होंने इस्राएल के लोगों को मोआब के मैदान में गिना. यह येरीख़ो से यरदन नदी के पार था.
This is the record of those were censused by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan opposite Jericho.

However, they did not include a single one who had previously been censused by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Sinai Desert,
65 यह इसलिये हुआ कि याहवेह ने इस्राएल के लोगों से यह कहा था कि वे सभी मरुभूमि में मरेंगे. जो केवल दो जीवित बचे थे; येफुन्नेह का पुत्र कालेब और नून का पुत्र यहोशू!
because the Lord had told them that they would all die in the desert. No one was left except Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, son of Nun.
