1 इस वाचा पर मुहर लगानेवालों के नाम इस प्रकार है: हाकालियाह के पुत्र राज्यपाल नेहेमियाह. और सीदकियाहू,
Now these were the ones who sealed the document: Nehemiah the governor, son of Hacaliah, and also Zedekiah,
2 सेराइयाह, अज़रियाह, येरेमियाह,
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,
3 पशहूर, अमरियाह, मालखियाह,
Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,
4 हत्तुष, शेबानियाह, मल्लूख,
Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,
5 हारिम, मेरेमोथ, ओबदिया,
Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,
6 दानिएल, गिन्नेथौन, बारूख,
Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,
7 मेशुल्लाम, अबीयाह, मियामिन,
Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,
8 माजियाह, बिलगाइ, शेमायाह. यह सभी पुरोहित थे.
Maaziah, Bilgai, and Shemaiah. These were the priests.
9 लेवी: ये थे अज़ानिया का पुत्र येशुआ, बिन्नूइ जो हेनादाद के वंशजों से था, कदमिएल;
The Levites: Jeshua son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel,
10 उनके भाई थे शेबानियाह, होदियाह, केलिता, पेलाइयाह, हानन,
and their associates: Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
11 मीका, रेहोब, हशाबियाह,
Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah,
12 ज़क्कूर, शेरेबियाह, शेबानियाह,
Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,
13 होदियाह, बानी, बेनिनू.
Hodiah, Bani, and Beninu.
14 लोगों के नायक इस प्रकार थे: पारोश, पाहाथ-मोआब, एलाम, ज़त्तू, बानी,
And the leaders of the people: Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani,
15 बुन्नी, अजगाद, बेबाइ,
Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,
16 अदोनियाह, बिगवाई, आदिन,
Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,
17 अतेर, हिज़किय्याह, अज्ज़ूर,
Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur,
18 होदियाह, हाषूम, बेज़ाइ,
Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai,
19 हरिफ, अनाथोथ, नेबाय,
Hariph, Anathoth, Nebai,
20 मगफ़ीआष, मेशुल्लाम, हेज़ीर,
Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,
21 मेशेजाबेल, सादोक, यद्दुआ,
Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua,
22 पेलातियाह, हानन, अनाइयाह,
Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,
23 होशिया, हननियाह, हस्षूब,
Hoshea, Hananiah, Hasshub,
24 हल्लेहेष, पिल्हा, शोबेक,
Hallohesh, Pilha, Shobek,
25 रेहुम, हशाबनाह, मआसेइयाह,
Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,
26 अहीयाह, हानन, अनान,
Ahijah, Hanan, Anan,
27 मल्लूख, हारिम और बाअनाह.
Malluch, Harim, and Baanah.
28 इसके बाद बचे हुए लोग, पुरोहित, लेवी, द्वारपाल, गायक, मंदिर के सेवक और वे सभी, जिन्होंने खुद को परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था के लिए देश-देश के लोगों से अलग कर रखा था, उनकी पत्नियां, उनके पुत्र-पुत्रियां; और वे सभी, जिनमें ज्ञान और समझ थी,
“The rest of the people—the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, temple servants, and all who had separated themselves from the people of the land to obey the Law of God—along with their wives and all their sons and daughters who are able to understand,
29 अपने संबंधियों और उनके रईसों के साथ मिल गए. इन्होंने अपने आप पर एक शाप ले लिया और उन्होंने याहवेह की व्यवस्था के पालन करने की शपथ ली, वह व्यवस्था, जो परमेश्वर के सेवक मोशेह द्वारा दी गयी थी; सभी ने प्रण किया, कि वे परमेश्वर, हमारे प्रभु याहवेह की सभी आज्ञाओं, नियमों और विधियों का पालन करने में चौकसी करेंगे.
hereby join with their noble brothers and commit themselves with a sworn oath to follow the Law of God given through His servant Moses and to carefully obey all the commandments, ordinances, and statutes of the LORD our Lord.
30 उन्होंने यह शपथ भी ली, कि वे अपनी पुत्रियों का विवाह इस देश के निवासियों से न होने देंगे और न अपने पुत्रों के लिए उनकी पुत्रियों को लाएंगे.
We will not give our daughters in marriage to the people of the land, and we will not take their daughters for our sons.
31 उस स्थिति में, जब उस देश के निवासी किसी शब्बाथ पर या किसी अलग किए हुए प्रभु के शब्बाथ पर बेचने के लिए अपना कुछ सामान या अनाज लेकर आएं, हम शब्बाथ पर या ऐसे अलग किए हुए दिन पर हम उनसे इसको नहीं खरीदेंगे. हम हर सातवें साल न तो खेती करेंगे और न उधार में दिए हुए पैसे को वापस लेने की कोशिश करेंगे.
When the people of the land bring merchandise or any kind of grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we will not buy from them on a Sabbath or holy day. Every seventh year we will let the fields lie fallow, and will cancel every debt.
32 हमने खुद अपने ऊपर यह जवाबदारी भी ले ली कि हम हर साल एक तिहाई शेकेल का दान दिया करेंगे, कि यह परमेश्वर के भवन में सेवा के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाए;
We also place ourselves under the obligation to contribute a third of a shekel yearly for the service of the house of our God:
33 पवित्र रोटी के लिए, नित्य अन्नबलि के लिए, नित्य होमबलि के लिए, शब्बाथों के लिए, नए चांद के लिए, ठहराए गए अवसरों के लिए, अलग की गई वस्तुओं के लिए, और पापबलि के लिए, कि उनके द्वारा इस्राएल के लिए प्रायश्चित किया जा सके और हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन के सारे कामों में यह योगदान दे सकें.
for the showbread, for the regular grain offerings and burnt offerings, for the Sabbath offerings, for the New Moons and appointed feasts, for the holy offerings, for the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the duties of the house of our God.
34 इसके अलावा हमने पुरोहितों, लेवियों और लोगों के बीच लकड़ी की भेंट के लिए चिट्ठी डाली, कि वे इसे हर साल अपने-अपने पितरों के अनुसार इस सभी अवसरों पर हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन में ले आएं कि याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर की वेदी पर आग जलाई जा सके, जैसा कि व्यवस्था का आदेश है.
We have cast lots among the priests, Levites, and people for the donation of wood by our families at the appointed times each year. They are to bring it to the house of our God to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the Law.
35 कि वे इस भूमि की पहली उपज को, हर एक पेड़ के पहले फल को हर साल याहवेह के भवन में ले आया करें.
We will also bring the firstfruits of our land and of every fruit tree to the house of the LORD year by year.
36 कि वे हमारी संतान के, अपने पशुओं के, अपनी भेड़-बकरियों के पहलौठों को, लिखी गई विधि के अनुसार हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन में सेवा कर रहे पुरोहितों के सामने हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन में ले आएं.
And we will bring the firstborn of our sons and our livestock, as it is written in the Law, and will bring the firstborn of our herds and flocks to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God.
37 हम खुद भी अपने गूंधे हुए आटे का पहला भाग, अपने दान, हर एक पेड़ का फल, नई दाखमधु का और तेल का पहला भाग हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन के कमरों में नित्य पुरोहितों के सामने ले आएंगे और अपनी भूमि की उपज का दसवां भाग लेवियों के सामने, क्योंकि लेवी ही सभी नगरों में दसवें अंश के अधिकारी हैं.
Moreover, we will bring to the priests at the storerooms of the house of our God the firstfruits of our dough, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees, and of our new wine and oil. A tenth of our produce belongs to the Levites, so that they shall receive tithes in all the towns where we labor.
38 अहरोन के वंश का कोई पुरोहित उस अवसर पर लेवी के साथ रहेगा, जब लेवी दसवां भाग इकट्ठा करते हैं. तब लेवी हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन में आए दसवें भाग का दसवां भाग लेकर जाएगा, यानी भंडार घर के कमरों में.
A priest of Aaron’s line is to accompany the Levites when they collect the tenth, and the Levites are to bring a tenth of these tithes to the storerooms of the treasury in the house of our God.
39 इस्राएल वंशज और लेवी वंशज अनाज के दान, नई दाखमधु और तेल उन कमरों में ले आएंगे. वहां पवित्र स्थान में इस्तेमाल के लिए ठहराए गए बर्तन रखे होंगे और वहां सेवा कर रहे पुरोहित, द्वारपाल और गायक ठहराए हुए रहते हैं. इस प्रकार हम हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन को अकेला न छोड़ेंगे.
For the Israelites and the Levites are to bring the contributions of grain, new wine, and oil to the storerooms where the articles of the sanctuary are kept and where the ministering priests, the gatekeepers, and the singers stay. Thus we will not neglect the house of our God.”
