मीका 7

1 मेरी क्या दुर्गति है! मैं उस मनुष्य के जैसा हूं, जो अंगूर की बारी में लवनी के छूटे अंगूर को धूपकाल में बटोरता है; खाने के लिये अंगूर का कोई गुच्छा नहीं बचा है, मैंने शुरू के अंजीर के फलों की जो लालसा की थी, वे भी नहीं हैं.

Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat; my soul desireth the first-ripe fig.

2 विश्वासयोग्य लोग देश से नाश हो गये हैं; एक भी ईमानदार व्यक्ति नहीं बचा है. हर एक जन खून बहाने के घात में लगा रहता है; वे जाल बिछाकर एक दूसरे को फंसाने के चक्कर में रहते हैं.

The godly man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

3 उनके हाथ बुराई के काम करने में माहिर हैं; शासन करनेवाले उपहार की मांग करते हैं, न्यायाधीश घूस लेते हैं, शक्तिशाली लोग अपनी इच्छाओं की पूर्ति बलपूर्वक करते हैं, वे सब मिलकर षड़्‍यंत्र रचते हैं.

Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge [is ready] for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it together.

4 उनमें जो सर्वोत्तम माना जाता है, वह एक कंटीली झाड़ी के जैसा है, उनमें जो सबसे ज्यादा ईमानदार समझा जाता है, वह एक कंटीले बाड़े से भी बुरा है. तुम्हारे पास परमेश्वर के आने का समय आ गया है, अर्थात् तुम्हारे पहरेदार के खतरे के घंटी बजाने का दिन आ गया है. अब तुम्हारे घबराने का समय है.

The best of them is as a brier; the most upright is [worse] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen, even thy visitation, is come; now shall be their perplexity.

5 किसी पड़ोसी पर विश्वास न करना और न ही अपने किसी मित्र पर भरोसा करना. यहां तक कि अपनी अर्द्धागिनी से भी संभलकर बात करना.

Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

6 क्योंकि पुत्र अपने पिता का अनादर करता है, पुत्री उसकी माता के विरुद्ध तथा बहू उसकी सास के विरुद्ध, उठ खड़ी होती है, मनुष्य के शत्रु उसके परिवार के सदस्य ही होते हैं.

For the son dishonoreth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

7 पर जहां तक मेरी बात है, मेरी आशा याहवेह पर लगी रहती है, मैं अपने उद्धारकर्ता परमेश्वर की बाट जोहता हूं; मेरे परमेश्वर मेरी सुनेंगे.

But as for me, I will look unto Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

8 हे मेरे शत्रु, मेरी स्थिति पर आनंद मत मना! यद्यपि मैं गिर गया हूं, पर मैं उठ खड़ा होऊंगा. यद्यपि मैं अंधकार में बैठा हुआ हूं, पर याहवेह मेरी ज्योति होंगे.

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light unto me.

9 क्योंकि मैंने उनके विरुद्ध पाप किया है, इसलिये मैं तब तक याहवेह के क्रोध सहता रहूंगा, जब तक कि वे मेरा मामला सुनकर मुझे न्याय प्रदान न करें. वही मुझे उस उजियाले में ले आएंगे; और मैं उनकी धार्मिकता को देखूंगा.

I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, [and] I shall behold his righteousness.

10 तब मेरा शत्रु यह देखेगा और लज्जा से अपना मुंह ढांप लेगा, यह शत्रु वही है, जिसने मुझसे कहा था, “कहां है याहवेह तुम्हारा परमेश्वर?” तब मैं उस शत्रु के पतन को देखूंगा; यहां तक की वह गली के कीचड़ की तरह पैरों तले रौंदा जाएगा.

Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see [my desire] upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

11 तुम्हारे दीवारों को बनाने का दिन, और तुम्हारी सीमाओं का बढ़ाने का दिन आएगा.

A day for building thy walls! in that day shall the decree be far removed.

12 उस दिन लोग तुम्हारे पास अश्शूर और मिस्र देश के शहरों से आएंगे, यहां तक कि मिस्र देश से लेकर इफरात नदी तक से, और समुद्र से समुद्र के बीच और पहाड़ से पहाड़ के बीच के देशों से लोग तुम्हारे पास आएंगे.

In that day shall they come unto thee from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain.

13 पृथ्वी के निवासियों के कारण, उनके कामों के फलस्वरूप, पृथ्वी उजाड़ और निर्जन हो जाएगी.

Yet shall the land be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.

14 अपने लोगों की रखवाली, अपने उत्तराधिकार में पाये झुंड की रखवाली अपनी लाठी से करना, जो बंजर भूमि में, और उपजाऊ चरागाह में अपने बूते रहते हैं. उन्हें बहुत पहले के समय जैसे बाशान और गिलआद में चरने दो.

Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy heritage, which dwell solitarily, in the forest in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

15 “जब तुम मिस्र देश से निकलकर आए, उन दिनों के जैसे, मैं उन्हें आश्चर्यकर्म दिखाऊंगा.”

As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto them marvellous things.

16 जाति-जाति के लोग यह देखेंगे और अपने शक्ति से वंचित लज्जित होंगे. वे लज्जा के मारे अपना मुंह अपने हाथों से ढंक लेंगे और उनके कान बहरे हो जाएंगे.

The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouth; their ears shall be deaf.

17 वे सांप के समान, और भूमि पर रेंगनेवाले जंतु के समान धूल चाटेंगे. वे अपने मांद से कांपते हुए निकलेंगे; वे याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर से डरेंगे और तुमसे भयभीत होंगे.

They shall lick the dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their close places; they shall come with fear unto Jehovah our God, and shall be afraid because of thee.

18 आपके जैसा और कौन परमेश्वर है, जो अपने निज भाग के बचे हुओं के पापों और अपराधों को क्षमा करते हैं? आपका क्रोध हमेशा के लिये नहीं होता पर आप दया दिखाने में प्रसन्‍न होते हैं.

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.

19 आप हम पर फिर दया करेंगे; आप अपने पैरों तले हमारे पापों को कुचल देंगे और हमारे दुष्टता के कामों को गहरे समुद्र में फेंक देंगे.

He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

20 आप उस शपथ के अनुरूप, जो आपने वर्षों पहले हमारे पूर्वजों से की थी, याकोब के लोगों के प्रति विश्वासयोग्य बने रहेंगे, और अब्राहाम के वंशजों को अपना प्रेम दिखाएंगे.

Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the lovingkindness to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
