मत्ती 24
1 येशु मंदिर से निकलकर जा रहे थे कि शिष्यों ने उनका ध्यान मंदिर परिसर की ओर आकर्षित किया.
Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.
2 येशु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम यह मंदिर परिसर देख रहे हो? सच तो यह है कि एक दिन इन भवनों का एक भी पत्थर दूसरे पर रखा न दिखेगा—हर एक पत्थर ज़मीन पर बिखरा होगा.”
But he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”
3 येशु ज़ैतून पर्वत पर बैठे हुए थे. इस एकांत में उनके शिष्य उनके पास आए और उनसे यह प्रश्न किया, “गुरुवर, हमें यह बताइए कि ये घटनाएं कब घटित होंगी, आपके आने तथा जगत के अंत का चिह्न क्या होगा?” (aiōn g165)
As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
4 येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “इस विषय में सावधान रहना कि कोई तुम्हें भरमाने न पाए
Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.
5 क्योंकि मेरे नाम में अनेक यह दावा करते आएंगे, ‘मैं ही मसीह हूं’ और इसके द्वारा अनेकों को भरमा देंगे.
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray.
6 तुम युद्धों के विषय में तो सुनोगे ही साथ ही उनके विषय में उड़ते-उड़ते समाचार भी. ध्यान रहे कि तुम इससे घबरा न जाओ क्योंकि इनका होना अवश्य है—किंतु इसे ही अंत न समझ लेना.
You will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.
7 राष्ट्र-राष्ट्र के तथा, राज्य-राज्य के विरुद्ध उठ खड़ा होगा. हर जगह अकाल पड़ेंगे तथा भूकंप आएंगे,
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.
8 किंतु ये सब घटनाएं प्रसववेदना का प्रारंभ मात्र होंगी.
But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “तब वे तुम्हें क्लेश देने के लिए पकड़वाएंगे और तुम्हारी हत्या कर देंगे क्योंकि मेरे कारण तुम सभी देशों की घृणा के पात्र बन जाओगे.
“Then they will deliver you up to oppression and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name’s sake.
10 इसी समय अनेक विश्वास से हट जाएंगे तथा त्याग देंगे, वे एक दूसरे से विश्वासघात करेंगे, वे एक दूसरे से घृणा करने लगेंगे.
Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.
11 अनेक झूठे भविष्यवक्ता उठ खड़े होंगे. वे अनेकों को भरमा देंगे.
Many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray.
12 अधर्म के बढ़ने के कारण अधिकांश का प्रेम ठंडा पड़ता जाएगा;
Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.
13 किंतु उद्धार उसी का होगा, जो अंतिम क्षण तक विश्वास में स्थिर रहेगा.
But he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 पूरे जगत में सारे राष्ट्रों के लिए प्रमाण के तौर पर राज्य के विषय में सुसमाचार का प्रचार किया जाएगा और तब जगत का अंत हो जाएगा.
This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
15 “इसलिये जब तुम उस विनाशकारी घृणित वस्तु को, जिसकी चर्चा भविष्यवक्ता दानिएल ने की थी, पवित्र स्थान में खड़ा देखो—पाठक ध्यान दे—
“When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
16 तो वे, जो यहूदिया प्रदेश में हों पर्वतों पर भागकर जाएं,
then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17 वह, जो घर की छत पर हो, घर में से सामान लेने नीचे न आए.
Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house.
18 वह, जो खेत में हो, अपना कपड़ा लेने पीछे न लौटे.
Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes.
19 दयनीय होगी गर्भवती और शिशुओं को दूध पिलाती स्त्रियों की स्थिति!
But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!
20 प्रार्थनारत रहो, ऐसा न हो कि तुम्हें जाड़े या शब्बाथ पर भागना पड़े
Pray that your flight will not be in the winter nor on a Sabbath,
21 क्योंकि वह महाक्लेश का समय होगा—ऐसा, जो न तो सृष्टि के प्रारंभ से आज तक देखा गया, न ही इसके बाद दोबारा देखा जाएगा.
for then there will be great suffering, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.
22 “यदि यह आनेवाले दिन घटाए न जाते, कोई भी जीवित न रहता. कुछ चुने हुए विशेष लोगों के लिए यह अवधि घटा दी जाएगी.
Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.
23 उस समय यदि कोई आकर तुम्हें सूचित करे, ‘सुनो-सुनो, मसीह यहां हैं!’ या, ‘वह वहां हैं!’ तो विश्वास न करना.
“Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There!’ don’t believe it.
24 क्योंकि अनेक झूठे मसीह तथा अनेक झूठे भविष्यवक्ता उठ खड़े होंगे. वे प्रभावशाली चमत्कार चिह्न दिखाएंगे तथा अद्भुत काम करेंगे कि यदि संभव हुआ तो परमेश्वर द्वारा चुने हुओं को भी भटका दें.
For false christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
25 ध्यान दो कि मैंने पहले ही तुम्हें इसकी चेतावनी दे दी है.
“Behold, I have told you beforehand.
26 “कि यदि वे तुम्हारे पास आकर यह कहें, ‘देखो, देखो; वह बंजर भूमि में हैं,’ तो उसे देखने चले न जाना; या यदि वे यह कहें, ‘आओ, देखो, वह कोठरी में हैं,’ तो उनका विश्वास न करना.”
“If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; or ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it.
27 जैसे बिजली पूर्व दिशा से चमकती हुई पश्चिम दिशा तक चली जाती है, ठीक ऐसा ही होगा मनुष्य के पुत्र का आगमन.
For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
28 गिद्ध वहीं इकट्ठा होते हैं, जहां शव होता है.
For wherever the carcass is, that is where the vultures gather together.
29 “उन दिनों के क्लेश के तुरंत बाद “‘सूर्य अंधियारा हो जाएगा और चंद्रमा का प्रकाश न रहेगा. आकाश से तारे गिर जाएंगे. आकाश की शक्तियां हिलायी जाएंगी.’
“But immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
30 “तब आकाश में मनुष्य के पुत्र का चिह्न प्रकट होगा. पृथ्वी के सभी गोत्र शोक से भर जाएंगे और वे मनुष्य के पुत्र को आकाश में बादलों पर सामर्थ्य और प्रताप के साथ आता हुआ देखेंगे.
and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
31 मनुष्य का पुत्र अपने स्वर्गदूतों को तुरही के ऊंचे शब्द के साथ भेजेगा, जो चारों दिशाओं से, आकाश के एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक जाकर उनके चुने हुओं को इकट्ठा करेंगे.
He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
32 “अंजीर के पेड़ से शिक्षा लो: जब उसमें कोंपलें फूटने लगती हैं, पत्तियां निकलने लगती हैं तो तुम जान लेते हो कि गर्मी का समय पास है.
“Now from the fig tree learn this parable: When its branch has now become tender and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near.
33 इसी प्रकार तुम जब भी इन सभी घटनाओं को होते देखो तो समझ लेना कि वह पास हैं—परंतु द्वार पर ही हैं.
Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that he is near, even at the doors.
34 सच्चाई तो यह है कि इन घटनाओं के हुए बिना इस युग का अंत नहीं होगा.
Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things are accomplished.
35 आकाश तथा पृथ्वी खत्म हो जाएंगे किंतु मेरे कहे हुए शब्द कभी नहीं.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
36 “वैसे उस दिन तथा उस समय के विषय में किसी को भी मालूम नहीं है—न स्वर्ग के दूतों को और न ही पुत्र को—परंतु मात्र पिता को ही यह मालूम है.
“But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 “ठीक नोहा के दिनों जैसा होगा मनुष्य के पुत्र का आगमन:
As the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38 जल-बाढ़ के पहले उन दिनों में लोग तब तक खाते-पीते रहे और उनमें विवाह होते रहे जब तक नोहा ने जहाज़ में प्रवेश न किया.
For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,
39 लोग तब तक कुछ न समझे जब तक बाढ़ ने आकर उन्हें डुबो न दिया. ऐसा ही होगा मनुष्य के पुत्र का आगमन.
and they didn’t know until the flood came and took them all away, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40 उस समय दो व्यक्ति खेत में कार्य कर रहे होंगे; एक उठा लिया जाएगा, दूसरा रह जाएगा.
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left.
41 दो स्त्रियां चक्की पर अनाज पीस रही होंगी; एक उठा ली जाएगी, दूसरी रह जाएगी.
Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one will be left.
42 “इसलिये हमेशा सावधान रहो क्योंकि तुम यह नहीं जानते कि तुम्हारे प्रभु का आगमन किस दिन होगा.
Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.
43 याद रखो कि यदि घर के स्वामी को यह पता हो कि चोर रात में किस समय आएगा तो वह सावधान हो जाएगा तथा घर में सेंध लगने न देगा.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
44 तुम्हारा भी इसी प्रकार सावधान रहना ज़रूरी है क्योंकि मनुष्य के पुत्र का आगमन ऐसे समय पर होगा जिसकी तुम कल्पना तक नहीं कर सकते.
Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.
45 “कौन है वह विश्वासयोग्य और समझदार सेवक, जिसे घर का मालिक अपने परिवार की ज़िम्मेदारी सौंप दे कि वह समय के अनुसार सबके लिए भोजन-व्यवस्था करे?
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?
46 धन्य है वह सेवक, जिसे घर का स्वामी लौटने पर यही करते हुए पाए.
Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.
47 सच्चाई तो यह है कि घर का स्वामी उस सेवक के हाथों में अपनी सारी संपत्ति की ज़िम्मेदारी सौंप देगा.
Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
48 किंतु यदि वह सेवक बुरा हो और अपने मन में यह विचार करने लगे: ‘स्वामी के लौटने में तो बड़ी देरी हो रही है’
But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’
49 और वह सहसेवकों के साथ मार-पीट आरंभ कर दे, पियक्कड़ों की संगति में जाकर खाए-पिए और
and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,
50 उसका स्वामी एक ऐसे दिन लौटेगा, जिसकी उसने कल्पना ही न की थी और एक ऐसे क्षण में, जिसके विषय में उसे मालूम ही न था,
the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,
51 तो स्वामी उसके टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर उसकी गिनती कपट करनेवालों में कर देगा जहां हमेशा रोना तथा दांत पीसना होता रहेगा.
and will cut him in pieces and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.
