मरकुस 8
1 इन्हीं दिनों की घटना है कि एक बार फिर वहां एक बड़ी भीड़ इकट्ठी हो गयी. उनके पास खाने को कुछ न था. मसीह येशु ने अपने शिष्यों को बुलाकर उनसे कहा,
At that time the crowd being very numerous, and having no food, he called his disciple, and said to them,
2 “इनके लिए मेरे हृदय में करुणा उमड़ रही है, क्योंकि ये सब तीन दिन से लगातार मेरे साथ हैं. इनके पास अब कुछ भी भोजन सामग्री नहीं है.
I have compassion on the multitude; for they attend me now three days, and have nothing to eat;
3 यदि मैं इन्हें भूखा ही घर भेज दूं, वे मार्ग में ही मूर्च्छित हो जाएंगे. इनमें से कुछ तो अत्यंत दूर से आए हैं.”
and if I send them home fasting, their strength will fail by the way; for some of them have come from afar.
4 शिष्यों ने कहा, “इस दूर स्थान में सब की तृप्ति के लिए भोजन का प्रबंध कौन कर पायेगा?”
His disciples answered, Whence can we supply these people with bread here in the desert?
5 मसीह येशु ने उनसे पूछा, “कितनी रोटियां हैं तुम्हारे पास?” “सात,” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया.
He asked them, How many loaves have you? They said, Seven.
6 मसीह येशु ने भीड़ को भूमि पर बैठ जाने की आज्ञा दी; फिर सातों रोटियां लीं, उनके लिए धन्यवाद प्रकट कर उन्हें तोड़ा और उन्हें बांटने के लिए शिष्यों को देते गए. शिष्य उन्हें भीड़ में बांटते गए.
Then commanding the multitude to place themselves upon the ground, he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, broke them, and gave them to his disciples, that they might distribute them to the people, and they distributed them.
7 उनके पास कुछ छोटी मछलियां भी थी. उन पर धन्यवाद करते हुए मसीह येशु ने उन्हें भी बांटने की आज्ञा दी.
They had also a few small fishes, which, after blessing, he likewise ordered to be presented.
8 लोग खाकर तृप्त हुए. शिष्यों ने तोड़ी गई रोटियों के शेष टुकड़ों को इकट्ठा कर सात बड़े टोकरे भर लिए.
So they eat, and were satisfied; and the fragments which remained, were carried off in seven hand-baskets.
9 इस भीड़ में लगभग चार हज़ार लोग थे. तब मसीह येशु ने उन्हें विदा किया.
Now they who had eat were about four thousand.
10 इसके बाद मसीह येशु बिना देर किए अपने शिष्यों के साथ नाव पर सवार होकर दालमनूथा क्षेत्र में आ गए.
Having dismissed them, he immediately embarked with his disciples, and went into the territory of Dalmanutha.
11 फ़रीसियों ने आकर उनसे विवाद प्रारंभ कर दिया. उन्होंने यह परखने के लिए कि मसीह येशु परमेश्वर-पुत्र हैं, स्वर्ग का कोई चमत्कार चिह्न की मांग की.
Thence some Pharisees came, who began to argue with him; and in order to prove him, demanded of him a sign in the sky.
12 मसीह येशु ने अपने अंदर में गहरी पीड़ा में कराहते हुए उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “यह पीढ़ी चमत्कार चिह्न क्यों चाहती है? सच तो यह है कि इस पीढ़ी को कोई भी चमत्कार चिह्न नहीं दिया जाएगा.”
Jesus answered with a deep groan, Wherefore does this generation require a sign? Indeed, I say to you, that no sign shall be given to this generation.
13 उन्हें छोड़कर मसीह येशु नाव पर सवार होकर दूसरी ओर चले गए.
After that, leaving them, he re-embarked and returned.
14 शिष्य अपने साथ भोजन रखना भूल गए थे—उनके पास नाव में मात्र एक रोटी थी.
Now the disciples had forgot to bring bread, having only one loaf with them in the bark.
15 मसीह येशु ने शिष्यों को चेतावनी देते हुए कहा, “फ़रीसियों के खमीर से तथा हेरोदेस के खमीर से सावधान रहना.”
Then Jesus gave them this caution: Attend; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
16 इस पर वे आपस में विचार-विमर्श करने लगे, “वह यह इसलिये कह रहे हैं कि हमने अपने साथ रोटियां नहीं रखीं.”
They reflecting upon it, said among themselves, It is because we have no bread.
17 उनकी स्थिति समझते हुए मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “रोटी के न होने के विषय में वाद-विवाद क्यों किए जा रहे हो? क्या अब भी तुम्हें कुछ समझ नहीं आ रहा? क्या तुम्हारा हृदय कठोर हो गया है?
Jesus remarking it, said to them, Why do you make this reflection, hat you have no bread? Are you yet so thoughtless, so inattentive?
18 आंखें होते हुए भी तुम्हें कुछ दिखाई नहीं दे रहा और कानों के होते हुए भी तुम कुछ सुन नहीं पा रहे? तुम्हें कुछ भी याद नहीं रहा!
Is your understanding still blinded? Have you no us of your eyes, or of your ears? or do you not remember
19 जब मैंने पांच हज़ार व्यक्तियों के लिए पांच रोटियां परोसीं तुमने टुकड़ों से भरे कितने टोकरे इकट्ठा किए थे?” “बारह,” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया.
when I distributed the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you carry off? They answered, Twelve.
20 “जब मैंने चार हज़ार के लिए सात रोटियां परोसीं तब तुमने टुकड़ों से भरे कितने टोकरे इकट्ठा किए थे?” “सात,” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया.
And when the seven among four thousand, how many hand-baskets full of the fragments did you carry off? They said, Seven.
21 तब मसीह येशु ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या अब भी तुम्हारी समझ में नहीं आया?”
How then is it, proceeded he, that you do not apprehend me?
22 वे बैथसैदा नगर आए. वहां लोग एक अंधे व्यक्ति को उनके पास लाए और उनसे विनती की कि वह उसका स्पर्श करें.
When Jesus came to Bethsaida, they brought to him a blind man, whom they entreated him to touch.
23 मसीह येशु उस अंधे का हाथ पकड़ उसे गांव के बाहर ले गए. वहां उन्होंने उस व्यक्ति की आंखों पर थूका और उस पर हाथ रखते हुए उससे पूछा, “क्या तुम्हें कुछ दिखाई दे रहा है?”
He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the village. Then having put spittle on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him whether he saw.
24 उसने ऊपर दृष्टि करते हुए कहा, “मुझे लोग दिख रहे हैं परंतु वे ऐसे दिख रहे हैं जैसे चलते फिरते पेड़.”
Having looked up, he said, I see men, as trees walking.
25 मसीह येशु ने दोबारा उस पर अपने हाथ रखे और उसकी ओर एकटक देखा और उसे दृष्टि प्राप्त हो गई—उसे सब कुछ साफ़-साफ़ दिखाई देने लगा.
And Jesus laid his hands upon the man's eyes, and made him look again. And he was so perfectly cured, as to see every object clearly.
26 मसीह येशु ने उसे उसके घर भेजते हुए कहा, “अब इस गांव में कभी न आना.”
And Jesus sent him home, saying, Neither go into the village, nor tell anything to any of the villagers.
27 मसीह येशु अपने शिष्यों के साथ कयसरिया प्रांत के फ़िलिप्पॉय नगर के पास के गांवों की यात्रा कर रहे थे. मार्ग में उन्होंने अपने शिष्यों से यह प्रश्न किया, “मैं कौन हूं इस विषय में लोगों का क्या मत है?”
Jesus went thence with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi, and by the way asked them, saying, Who do men say that I am?
28 उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “कुछ के लिए बपतिस्मा देनेवाले योहन, कुछ के लिए एलियाह तथा कुछ के लिए आप भविष्यद्वक्ताओं में से एक हैं.”
They answered, John the Immerser; but some say, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.
29 “तुम्हारा अपना मत क्या है?” मसीह येशु ने उनसे आगे प्रश्न किया. पेतरॉस ने उत्तर दिया, “आप मसीह हैं.”
He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Peter answering, said to him, You are the Messiah.
30 मसीह येशु ने शिष्यों को सावधान किया कि वे किसी से भी उनकी चर्चा न करें.
Then he charged them to tell no person this concerning him.
31 तब मसीह येशु उन्हें यह समझाने लगे कि यह अवश्य है कि मनुष्य का पुत्र अनेक यातनाएं सहे, पुरनियों, प्रधान पुरोहितों तथा विधान के शिक्षकों द्वारा तुच्छ घोषित किया जाए, उसकी हत्या कर दी जाए और तीन दिन बाद वह मरे हुओं में से जीवित हो जाए.
And he began to inform them, that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and that in three days he must rise again.
32 यह सब उन्होंने अत्यंत स्पष्ट रूप से कहा. उनके इस कथन पर पेतरॉस उन्हें अलग ले जाकर डांटने लगे.
This he spoke so plainly, that Peter, taking him aside, reproved him.
33 किंतु मसीह येशु पीछे मुड़े और अपने शिष्यों को देखकर उन्होंने पेतरॉस को डांटा, “दूर हो जा मेरी दृष्टि से, शैतान! तेरा मन परमेश्वर संबंधी विषयों में नहीं परंतु मनुष्य संबंधी विषयों में लगा हुआ है.”
But he turning, and looking on his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get you hence, adversary, for you do not relish the things of God, but the things of men.
34 तब उन्होंने भीड़ के साथ अपने शिष्यों को भी अपने पास बुलाया और उन्हें संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “जो कोई मेरे पीछे आना चाहे, वह अपना इनकार कर अपना क्रूस उठाए और मेरे पीछे हो ले.
Then having called both to the people, and to his disciples, he said, Is any willing to come under my guidance? Let him renounce himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 इसलिये कि जो कोई अपने जीवन की रक्षा करना चाहता है, वह उसे गंवा देगा तथा जो कोई मेरे तथा सुसमाचार के लिए अपने प्राण गंवा देता है, उसे सुरक्षित पाएगा.
For whosoever would save his life, shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life, for my sake and the gospel's, shall save it.
36 भला इसका क्या लाभ कि कोई व्यक्ति पूरा संसार तो प्राप्त करे किंतु अपना प्राण खो दे?
What would it profit a man, if he should gain the whole world, with the forfeit of his life?
37 या किस वस्तु से मनुष्य अपने प्राण का अदला-बदली कर सकता है?
or what will a man not give in ransom for his life?
38 जो कोई इस अविश्वासी तथा पापमय युग में मुझे तथा मेरे वचन को लज्जा का विषय समझता है, मनुष्य का पुत्र भी, जब वह अपने पिता की महिमा में पवित्र स्वर्गदूतों के साथ आएगा, उसे स्वीकार करने में लज्जा का अनुभव करेगा.”
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him likewise the Son of man will be ashamed, when he shall come in the glory of his Father, accompanied by the holy angels.
