मरकुस 1
1 परमेश्वर के पुत्र येशु मसीह के सुसमाचार का आरंभ:
The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 भविष्यवक्ता यशायाह के अभिलेख के अनुसार, “तुम्हारे पूर्व मैं अपना एक दूत भेज रहा हूं, जो तुम्हारा मार्ग तैयार करेगा”;
As it has been written by the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, I send my Angel before your face, who shall prepare your way before you.
3 “बंजर भूमि में पुकारनेवाले की आवाज है, ‘प्रभु का रास्ता सीधा करो, उनका मार्ग सरल बनाओ.’”
The voice of one crying out in the desert: Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight his paths.”
4 बपतिस्मा देनेवाले योहन बंजर भूमि में पाप क्षमा के लिए पश्चाताप के बपतिस्मा का प्रचार करते हुए आए.
John was in the desert, baptizing and preaching a baptism of repentance, as a remission of sins.
5 यहूदिया प्रदेश के क्षेत्रों से सारी भीड़ तथा येरूशलेम नगर के सभी लोग उनसे भेंट करने जाने लगे. ये सब पाप स्वीकार करते हुए यरदन नदी में योहन से बपतिस्मा ले रहे थे.
And there went out to him all the region of Judea and all those of Jerusalem, and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 योहन का परिधान, ऊंट के रोम से निर्मित वस्त्र और उसके ऊपर चमड़े का कमरबंध था और उनका भोजन था टिड्डियां तथा जंगलीमधु.
And John was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist. And he ate locusts and wild honey.
7 वह प्रचार कर कहते थे, “मेरे बाद एक ऐसा व्यक्ति आएगा, जो मुझसे अधिक शक्तिमान हैं—मैं तो इस योग्य भी नहीं हूं कि उनके सामने झुककर उनकी जूतियों के बंध खोलनेवाला एक गुलाम बन सकूं.
And he preached, saying: “One stronger than me comes after me. I am not worthy to reach down and loosen the laces of his shoes.
8 मैं बपतिस्मा जल में देता हूं; वह तुम्हें पवित्र आत्मा में बपतिस्मा देंगे.”
I have baptized you with water. Yet truly, he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 उसी समय मसीह येशु गलील प्रदेश के नाज़रेथ नगर से आए और उन्हें योहन द्वारा यरदन नदी में बपतिस्मा दिया गया.
And it happened that, in those days, Jesus arrived from Nazareth of Galilee. And he was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 जब मसीह येशु जल से बाहर आ रहे थे, उसी क्षण उन्होंने आकाश को खुलते तथा आत्मा को, जो कबूतर के समान था, अपने ऊपर उतरते हुए देखा
And immediately, upon ascending from the water, he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit, like a dove, descending, and remaining with him.
11 और स्वर्ग से निकला एक शब्द भी सुनाई दिया: “तुम मेरे पुत्र हो—मेरे प्रिय—तुमसे मैं अतिप्रसन्न हूं.”
And there was a voice from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
12 उसी समय पवित्र आत्मा ने उन्हें बंजर भूमि में भेज दिया.
And immediately the Spirit prompted him into the desert.
13 बंजर भूमि में वह चालीस दिन शैतान के द्वारा परखे जाते रहे. वह वहां जंगली पशुओं के साथ रहे और स्वर्गदूतों ने उनकी सेवा की.
And he was in the desert for forty days and forty nights. And he was tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the Angels ministered to him.
14 योहन के बंदी बना लिए जाने के बाद येशु, परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार का प्रचार करते हुए गलील प्रदेश आए.
Then, after John was handed over, Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 उनका संदेश था, “समय पूरा हो चुका है, परमेश्वर का राज्य पास आ गया है. मन फिराओ तथा सुसमाचार में विश्वास करो.”
and saying: “For the time has been fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
16 गलील झील के पास से जाते हुए मसीह येशु ने शिमओन तथा उनके भाई आन्द्रेयास को देखा, जो झील में जाल डाल रहे थे. वे मछुआरे थे.
And passing by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew, casting nets into the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरा अनुसरण करो—मैं तुम्हें मनुष्यों के मछुआरे बनाऊंगा.”
And Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
18 वे उसी क्षण अपने जाल छोड़कर येशु का अनुसरण करने लगे.
And at once abandoning their nets, they followed him.
19 आगे जाने पर उन्होंने ज़ेबेदियॉस के पुत्र याकोब तथा उनके भाई योहन को देखा. वे भी नाव में थे और अपने जाल सुधार रहे थे.
And continuing on a little ways from there, he saw James of Zebedee and his brother John, and they were mending their nets in a boat.
20 उन्हें देखते ही मसीह येशु ने उनको बुलाया. वे अपने पिता ज़ेबेदियॉस को मज़दूरों के साथ नाव में ही छोड़कर उनके साथ चल दिए.
And immediately he called them. And leaving behind their father Zebedee in the boat with his hired hands, they followed him.
21 वे सब कफ़रनहूम नगर आए. शब्बाथ पर मसीह येशु स्थानीय यहूदी सभागृह में जाकर शिक्षा देने लगे.
And they entered into Capernaum. And entering into the synagogue promptly on the Sabbaths, he taught them.
22 लोग उनकी शिक्षा से आश्चर्यचकित रह गए क्योंकि वह शास्त्रियों के समान नहीं परंतु इस प्रकार शिक्षा दे रहे थे कि उन्हें इसका अधिकार है.
And they were astonished over his doctrine. For he was teaching them as one who has authority, and not like the scribes.
23 उसी समय सभागृह में एक व्यक्ति, जो दुष्टात्मा से पीड़ित था, चिल्ला उठा,
And in their synagogue, there was a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24 “नाज़रेथवासी येशु! क्या चाहते हैं आप? क्या आप हमें नाश करने आए हैं? मैं जानता हूं कि आप कौन हैं; परमेश्वर के पवित्र जन!”
saying: “What are we to you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God.”
25 “चुप!” उसे फटकारते हुए मसीह येशु ने कहा, “बाहर निकल जा इसमें से!”
And Jesus admonished him, saying, “Be silent, and depart from the man.”
26 उस व्यक्ति को मरोड़ते हुए वह दुष्टात्मा ऊंचे शब्द में चिल्लाता हुआ उसमें से बाहर निकल गया.
And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, departed from him.
27 सभी हैरान रह गए. वे आपस में विचार करने लगे, “यह सब क्या हो रहा है? यह अधिकारपूर्वक शिक्षा देते हैं और अशुद्ध आत्मा तक को आज्ञा देते है और वे उनका पालन भी करती हैं!”
And they were all so amazed that they inquired among themselves, saying: “What is this? And what is this new doctrine? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.”
28 तेजी से उनकी ख्याति गलील प्रदेश के आस-पास सब जगह फैल गई.
And his fame went out quickly, throughout the entire region of Galilee.
29 यहूदी सभागृह से निकलकर वे सीधे याकोब और योहन के साथ शिमओन तथा आन्द्रेयास के घर पर गए.
And soon after departing from the synagogue, they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 वहां शिमओन की सास बुखार में पड़ी हुई थी. उन्होंने बिना देर किए मसीह येशु को इसके विषय में बताया.
But the mother-in-law of Simon lay ill with a fever. And at once they told him about her.
31 मसीह येशु उनके पास आए, उनका हाथ पकड़ उन्हें उठाया और उनका बुखार जाता रहा तथा वह उनकी सेवा टहल में जुट गईं.
And drawing near to her, he raised her up, taking her by the hand. And immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.
32 संध्या समय सूर्यास्त के बाद लोग अस्वस्थ तथा जिनमें दुष्टात्माऐं थी उन लोगों को येशु के पास लाने लगे.
Then, when evening arrived, after the sun had set, they brought to him all who had maladies and those who had demons.
33 सारा नगर ही द्वार पर इकट्ठा हो गया
And the entire city was gathered together at the door.
34 मसीह येशु ने विभिन्न रोगों से पीड़ित अनेकों को स्वस्थ किया और अनेक दुष्टात्माओं को भी निकाला. वह दुष्टात्माओं को बोलने नहीं देते थे क्योंकि वे उन्हें पहचानती थी.
And he healed many who were troubled with various illnesses. And he cast out many demons, but he would not permit them to speak, because they knew him.
35 भोर होने पर, जब अंधकार ही था, मसीह येशु उठे और एक सुनसान जगह को गए. वहां वह प्रार्थना करने लगे.
And rising up very early, departing, he went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed.
36 शिमओन तथा उनके अन्य साथी उन्हें खोज रहे थे.
And Simon, and those who were with him, followed after him.
37 उन्हें पाकर वे कहने लगे, “सभी आपको खोज रहे हैं.”
And when they had found him, they said to him, “For everyone is seeking you.”
38 किंतु मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “चलो, कहीं और चलें—यहां पास के नगरों में—जिससे कि मैं वहां भी प्रचार कर सकूं क्योंकि मेरे यहां आने का उद्देश्य यही है.”
And he said to them: “Let us go into the neighboring towns and cities, so that I may preach there also. Indeed, it was for this reason that I came.”
39 वह सारे गलील प्रदेश में घूमते हुए यहूदी सभागृहों में जा-जाकर प्रचार करते रहे तथा लोगों में से दुष्टात्माओं को निकालते गए.
And he was preaching in their synagogues and throughout all of Galilee, and casting out demons.
40 एक कोढ़ रोगी उनके पास आया. उसने मसीह येशु के सामने घुटने टेक उनसे विनती की, “आप चाहें तो मुझे शुद्ध कर सकते हैं.”
And a leper came to him, begging him. And kneeling down, he said to him, “If you are willing, you are able to cleanse me.”
41 तरस खाकर मसीह येशु ने हाथ बढ़ाकर उसे स्पर्श किया और कहा, “मैं चाहता हूं. तुम शुद्ध हो जाओ!”
Then Jesus, taking pity on him, reached out his hand. And touching him, he said to him: “I am willing. Be cleansed.”
42 उसी समय उसका कोढ़ रोग जाता रहा और वह शुद्ध हो गया.
And after he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
43 मसीह येशु ने उसे उसी समय इस चेतावनी के साथ विदा किया,
And he admonished him, and he promptly sent him away.
44 “सुनो! इस विषय में किसी से कुछ न कहना. हां, जाकर स्वयं को पुरोहित के सामने प्रस्तुत करो तथा अपनी शुद्धि के प्रमाण के लिए मोशेह द्वारा निर्धारित विधि के अनुसार शुद्धि संबंधी भेंट चढ़ाओ.”
And he said to him: “See to it that you tell no one. But go and show yourself to the high priest, and offer for your cleansing that which Moses instructed, as a testimony for them.”
45 किंतु उस व्यक्ति ने जाकर खुलेआम इसकी घोषणा की तथा यह समाचार इतना फैला दिया कि मसीह येशु इसके बाद खुल्लम-खुल्ला किसी नगर में न जा सके और उन्हें नगर के बाहर सुनसान स्थानों में रहना पड़ा. फिर भी सब स्थानों से लोग उनके पास आते रहे.
But having departed, he began to preach and to disseminate the word, so that he was no longer able to openly enter a city, but had to remain outside, in deserted places. And they were gathered to him from every direction.
