मलाकी 2
1 “और अब, हे पुरोहितो, यह चेतावनी तुम्हारे लिए है.
And now, O ye Priests, this commandement is for you.
2 यदि तुम नहीं सुनते हो, और यदि तुम मेरे नाम का आदर करने का निश्चय नहीं करते हो,” सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का कहना है, “तो मैं तुमको एक शाप दूंगा, और मैं तुम्हारी आशीषों को श्रापित करूंगा. हां, मैं उन्हें पहले ही शापित कर चुका हूं, क्योंकि तुमने मेरा आदर न करने का निश्चय किया है.
If yee will not heare it, nor consider it in your heart, to giue glory vnto my Name, sayth the Lord of hostes, I will euen sende a curse vpon you, and will curse your blessings: yea, I haue cursed them alreadie, because yee doe not consider it in your heart.
3 “तुम्हारे कारण मैं तुम्हारी संतान को डांटूंगा; तुम्हारे त्योहार में बलिदान किए गये पशुओं के गोबर को मैं तुम्हारे चेहरों पर मलूंगा, और तुम्हें इसी स्थिति में ले जाया जाएगा.
Behold, I wil corrupt your seede, and cast dongue vpon your faces, euen the dongue of your solemne feastes, and you shall be like vnto it.
4 तब तुम जानोगे कि मैंने ये चेतावनी दी है, ताकि लेवी के साथ बांधी गई मेरी वाचा बनी रहे,” सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का कहना है.
And yee shall know, that I haue sent this commandement vnto you, that my couenant, which I made with Leui, might stand, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
5 “मेरी वाचा उसके साथ थी; यह जीवन और शांति की एक वाचा थी, और मैंने इस वाचा को उसे दिया था; यह आदर सम्मान के लिये था और उसने मेरा आदर सम्मान किया और मेरे नाम का भय माना.
My couenant was with him of life and peace, and I gaue him feare, and he feared mee, and was afraid before my Name.
6 वह अपने मुंह से सही निर्देश देता था, और उसके मुंह से कोई गलत बात नहीं निकलती थी. वह शांति और ईमानदारी से मेरे साथ चलता था, और उसने बहुतों को पापमय जीवन से लौटा ले आया.
The lawe of trueth was in his mouth, and there was no iniquitie founde in his lippes: hee walked with me in peace and equitie, and did turne many away from iniquitie.
7 “क्योंकि एक पुरोहित को अपनी बातों से ज्ञान को बनाए रखना चाहिये, क्योंकि वह सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का संदेशवाहक है और लोग उससे शिक्षा पाने की आशा रखते हैं.
For the Priestes lippes shoulde preserue knowledge, and they shoulde seeke the Lawe at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hostes.
8 परंतु तुम सही रास्ते से भटक गये हो, और तुम्हारी शिक्षा से बहुतों ने ठोकर खाई है; तुमने लेवी के साथ बांधी गई वाचा को तोड़ दिया है,” सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का कहना है.
But yee are gone out of the way: yee haue caused many to fall by the Lawe: yee haue broken the couenant of Leui, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
9 “इसलिये मैंने तुमको सब लोगों के सामने तुच्छ जाना है और तुम्हें अपमानित किया है, क्योंकि तुम मेरे बताए रास्ते पर नहीं चले हो, और कानून के मामले में पक्षपात किए हो.”
Therefore haue I also made you to be despised, and vile before all the people, because yee kept not my wayes, but haue beene partiall in the Lawe.
10 क्या हम सभी के एक ही पिता नहीं? क्या एक ही परमेश्वर ने हमारी सृष्टि नहीं की? तब हम क्यों एक दूसरे से विश्वासघात करके अपने पूर्वजों की वाचा को तोड़ देते हैं?
Haue we not all one father? hath not one God made vs? why doe we transgresse euery one against his brother, and breake the couenant of our fathers?
11 यहूदाह ने विश्वासघात किया है. इस्राएल तथा येरूशलेम में एक घृणित काम किया गया है: यहूदाह ने उन स्त्रियों से विवाह किया है, जो दूसरे देवताओं की आराधना करती हैं और ऐसा करके उसने याहवेह के उस पवित्र स्थान को अपवित्र किया है जिससे याहवेह प्रेम करता है.
Iudah hath transgressed, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Ierusalem: for Iudah hath defiled the holinesse of the Lord, which hee loued, and hath maried the daughter of a strange God.
12 जो भी व्यक्ति ऐसा करता है, वह कोई भी क्यों न हो, उसे याहवेह याकोब के तंबुओं से निकाल दे—भले ही वह व्यक्ति सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह को चढ़ाने के लिये एक बलिदान लाए.
The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this: both the master and the seruaunt out of the Tabernacle of Iaacob, and him that offereth an offering vnto the Lord of hostes.
13 दूसरा काम तुम यह करते हो: तुम रोते हुए याहवेह की वेदी को अपने आंसुओं से भिगो देते हो. तुम रोते और विलाप करते हो क्योंकि अब याहवेह तुम्हारी भेंटों पर कृपादृष्टि नहीं करते या खुश होकर उन्हें तुम्हारे हाथों ग्रहण नहीं करते.
And this haue ye done againe, and couered the altar of the Lord with teares, with weeping and with mourning: because the offering is no more regarded, neither receiued acceptably at your handes.
14 तुम पूछते हो, “ऐसा क्यों?” ऐसा इसलिये होता है, क्योंकि याहवेह तुम्हारे और तुम्हारे जवानी के दिनों की पत्नी के बीच गवाह है. तुमने उसके साथ विश्वासघात किया है, यद्यपि वह तुम्हारे जीवन भर की साथी और शादी में किए गये वाचा की तुम्हारी पत्नी है.
Yet yee say, Wherein? Because the Lord hath beene witnesse betweene thee and the wife of thy youth, against whome thou hast transgressed: yet is shee thy companion, and the wife of thy couenant.
15 क्या तुम्हें एक परमेश्वर ने नहीं बनाया? तुम्हारी देह और आत्मा उसकी है. और एक परमेश्वर किस बात की अपेक्षा करता है? श्रद्धा करनेवाली संतान. इसलिये सावधान रहो, और अपने जवानी के दिनों की पत्नी के साथ विश्वासघात मत करो.
And did not hee make one? yet had hee abundance of spirit: and wherefore one? because he sought a godly seede: therefore keepe your selues in your spirit, and let none trespasse against the wife of his youth.
16 याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर का कहना है, “जो व्यक्ति अपनी पत्नी से घृणा करता और उसे तलाक देता है, तो वह उस पर हिंसा करता है जिसकी उसने रक्षा करना चाहिये,” सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह का कहना है. इसलिये सावधान रहो, और विश्वासघात मत करो.
If thou hatest her, put her away, sayeth the Lord God of Israel, yet he couereth the iniurie vnder his garment, saieth the Lord of hosts: therefore keepe your selues in your spirite, and transgresse not.
17 तुमने अपनी बातों से याहवेह को खिन्न कर दिया है. और तुम पूछते हो, “हमने उन्हें कैसे खिन्न किया है?” ये कहने के द्वारा, “वे सब जो बुरे काम करते हैं, वे याहवेह की दृष्टि में अच्छे व्यक्ति हैं, और याहवेह उनसे खुश हैं” या “न्यायी परमेश्वर कहां है?”
Yee haue wearied the Lord with your woordes: yet yee say, Wherein haue we wearied him? When ye say, Euery one that doeth euill, is good in the sight of the Lord, and he deliteth in them. Or where is the God of iudgement?
