लूका 24
1 सप्ताह के प्रथम दिन पौ फटते ही वे तैयार किए गए उबटन-लेपों को लेकर कंदरा-क़ब्र पर आईं.
Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them.
2 उन्होंने कब्र के द्वार का पत्थर कब्र से लुढ़का हुआ पाया
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 किंतु जब उन्होंने कब्र की गुफ़ा में प्रवेश किया, वहां प्रभु येशु का शरीर नहीं था.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 जब वे इस स्थिति का निरीक्षण कर ही रही थी, एकाएक उजले वस्त्रों में दो व्यक्ति उनके पास आ खड़े हुए.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 भय में डरी हुई स्त्रियों की दृष्टि भूमि की ओर ही थी कि उन्होंने स्त्रियों से प्रश्न किया, “आप लोग एक जीवित को मरे हुओं के मध्य क्यों खोज रही हैं?
And as they were afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 वह यहां नहीं हैं—वह दोबारा जीवित हो गए हैं. याद कीजिए जब वह आपके साथ गलील प्रदेश में थे, उन्होंने आपसे क्या कहा था:
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 ‘यह अवश्य है कि मनुष्य का पुत्र कुकर्मियों के हाथों में सौंपा जाए, क्रूस पर चढ़ाया जाए और तीसरे दिन मरे हुओं में से जीवित हो जाए.’”
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 अब उन्हें प्रभु येशु की बातों की याद आई.
And they remembered his words,
9 वे सभी स्त्रियां कब्र की गुफ़ा से लौट गईं और सारा हाल ग्यारह शिष्यों तथा बाकियों को सुनाया.
And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 जिन स्त्रियों ने प्रेरितों को यह हाल सुनाया, वे थी: मगदालावासी मरियम, योहान्ना तथा याकोब की माता मरियम तथा उनके अलावा अन्य स्त्रियां.
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women that were] with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 प्रेरितों को यह समाचार बेमतलब लगा. उन्होंने इसका विश्वास नहीं किया.
And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 किंतु पेतरॉस उठे और कब्र की गुफ़ा की ओर दौड़ पड़े. उन्होंने झुककर भीतर देखा और वहां उन्हें वे पट्टियां, जो शव पर लपेटी गई थी, अलग रखी हुई दिखीं. इस घटना पर अचंभित पेतरॉस घर लौट गए.
Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13 उसी दिन दो शिष्य इम्माउस नामक गांव की ओर जा रहे थे, जो येरूशलेम नगर से लगभग ग्यारह किलोमीटर की दूरी पर था.
And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem [about] threescore furlongs.
14 सारा घटनाक्रम ही उनकी आपस की बातों का विषय था.
And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 जब वे विचार-विमर्श और बातचीत में मगन ही थे, स्वयं प्रभु येशु उनके पास पहुंचकर उनके साथ साथ चलने लगे.
And it came to pass, that, while they communed [together] and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 किंतु उनकी आंखें ऐसी बंद कर दी गई थी कि वे प्रभु येशु को पहचानने न पाएं.
But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 प्रभु येशु ने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “आप लोग किस विषय पर बातचीत कर रहे हैं?” वे रुक गए. उनके मुख पर उदासी छायी हुई थी.
And he said unto them, What manner of communications [are] these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 उनमें से एक ने, जिसका नाम क्लोपस था, इसके उत्तर में उनसे यह प्रश्न किया, “आप येरूशलेम में आए अकेले ऐसे परदेशी हैं कि आपको यह मालूम नहीं कि यहां इन दिनों में क्या-क्या हुआ है!”
And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 “क्या-क्या हुआ है?” प्रभु येशु ने उनसे प्रश्न किया. उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “नाज़रेथवासी प्रभु येशु से संबंधित घटनाएं—प्रभु येशु, जो वास्तव में परमेश्वर और सभी जनसाधारण की नज़र में और काम में सामर्थ्यी भविष्यवक्ता थे.
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 उन्हें प्रधान पुरोहितों और हमारे सरदारों ने मृत्यु दंड दिया और क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया.
And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 हमारी आशा यह थी कि प्रभु येशु इस्राएल राष्ट्र को स्वतंत्र करवा देंगे. यह आज से तीन दिन पूर्व की घटना है.
But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 किंतु हमारे समुदाय की कुछ स्त्रियों ने हमें आश्चर्य में डाल दिया है. पौ फटते ही वे कब्र पर गई थी
Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 किंतु उन्हें वहां प्रभु येशु का शव नहीं मिला. उन्होंने हमें बताया कि उन्होंने वहां स्वर्गदूतों को देखा है; जिन्होंने उन्हें सूचना दी कि प्रभु येशु जीवित हैं.
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 हमारे कुछ साथी भी कब्र पर गए थे और उन्होंने ठीक वैसा ही पाया जैसा स्त्रियों ने बताया था किंतु प्रभु येशु को उन्होंने नहीं देखा.”
And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found [it] even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 तब प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “ओ मूर्खो! भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की सब बातों पर विश्वास करने में मंदबुद्धियो!
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 क्या मसीह के लिए यह ज़रूरी न था कि वह सभी यातनाएं सह कर अपनी महिमा में प्रवेश करे?”
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 तब प्रभु येशु ने पवित्र शास्त्र में स्वयं से संबंधित उन सभी लिखी बातों का अर्थ उन्हें समझा दिया—मोशेह से प्रारंभ कर सभी भविष्यद्वक्ताओं तक.
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 तब वे उस गांव के पास पहुंचे, जहां उनको जाना था. प्रभु येशु के व्यवहार से ऐसा भास हुआ मानो वह आगे बढ़ना चाह रहे हों
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 किंतु उन शिष्यों ने विनती की, “हमारे साथ ही ठहर जाइए क्योंकि दिन ढल चला है और शाम होने को है.” इसलिये प्रभु येशु उनके साथ भीतर चले गए.
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 जब वे सब भोजन के लिए बैठे, प्रभु येशु ने रोटी लेकर आशीर्वाद के साथ उसे तोड़ा और उन्हें दे दिया.
And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed [it], and brake, and gave to them.
31 तब उनकी आंखों को देखने लायक बना दिया गया और वे प्रभु येशु को पहचान गए किंतु उसी क्षण प्रभु येशु उनकी आंखों से ओझल हो गए.
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 वे आपस में विचार करने लगे, “मार्ग में जब वह हमसे बातचीत कर रहे थे और पवित्र शास्त्र की व्याख्या कर रहे थे तो हमारे मन में उत्तेजना हुई थी न!”
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 तत्काल ही वे उठे और येरूशलेम को लौट गए. वहां उन्होंने ग्यारह शिष्यों और अन्यों को, जो वहां इकट्ठा थे, यह कहते पाया,
And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 “हां, यह सच है! प्रभु मरे हुओं में से दोबारा जीवित हो गए हैं और शिमओन को दिखाई भी दिए हैं.”
Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 तब इन दो शिष्यों ने भी मार्ग में हुई घटना का ब्यौरा सुनाया कि किस प्रकार भोजन करते समय वे प्रभु येशु को पहचानने में समर्थ हो गए थे.
And they told what things [were done] in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36 जब वे इस बारे में बातें कर ही रहे थे, स्वयं प्रभु येशु उनके बीच आ खड़े हुए और उनसे बोले, “तुममें शांति बनी रहे.”
And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.
37 वे अचंभित और भयभीत हो गए और उन्हें लगा कि वे किसी दुष्टात्मा को देख रहे हैं.
But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम घबरा क्यों हो रहे हो? क्यों उठ रहे हैं तुम्हारे मन में ये संदेह?
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 देखो, ये मेरे हाथ और पांव. यह मैं ही हूं. मुझे स्पर्श करके देख लो क्योंकि दुष्टात्मा के हाड़-मांस नहीं होता, जैसा तुम देख रहे हो कि मेरे हैं.”
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 यह कहकर उन्होंने उन्हें अपने हाथ और पांव दिखाए
And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them [his] hands and [his] feet.
41 और जब वे आश्चर्य और आनंद की स्थिति में विश्वास नहीं कर पा रहे थे, प्रभु येशु ने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “क्या यहां कुछ भोजन है?”
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 उन्होंने प्रभु येशु को भूनी हुई मछली का एक टुकड़ा दिया
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 और प्रभु येशु ने उसे लेकर उनके सामने खाया.
And he took [it], and did eat before them.
44 तब प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम्हारे साथ रहते हुए मैंने तुम लोगों से यही कहा था: वह सब पूरा होना ज़रूरी है, जो मेरे विषय में मोशेह की व्यवस्था, भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के लेख तथा भजन की पुस्तकों में लिखा गया है.”
And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me.
45 तब प्रभु येशु ने उनकी समझ खोल दी कि वे पवित्र शास्त्र को समझ सकें
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 और उनसे कहा, “यह लिखा है कि मसीह यातनाएं सहे और तीसरे दिन मरे हुओं में से दोबारा जीवित किया जाए,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 और येरूशलेम से प्रारंभ कर सभी राष्ट्रों में उसके नाम में पाप क्षमा के लिए पश्चाताप की घोषणा की जाए.
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 तुम सभी इन घटनाओं के गवाह हो.
And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 जिसकी प्रतिज्ञा मेरे पिता ने की है, उसे मैं तुम्हारे लिए भेजूंगा किंतु आवश्यक यह है कि तुम येरूशलेम में उस समय तक ठहरे रहो, जब तक स्वर्ग से भेजी गई सामर्थ्य से परिपूर्ण न हो जाओ.”
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 तब प्रभु येशु उन्हें बैथनियाह नामक गांव तक ले गए और अपने हाथ उठाकर उन्हें आशीष दी.
And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 जब वह उन्हें आशीष दे ही रहे थे वह उनसे विदा हो गए और स्वर्ग में उठा लिये गये.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 तब उन्होंने येशु की आराधना की और बहुत ही आनंद में येरूशलेम लौट गए.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 वे मंदिर में नियमित रूप से परमेश्वर की स्तुति करते रहते थे.
And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
