लूका 22
1 अखमीरी रोटी का उत्सव, जो फ़सह पर्व कहलाता है, पास आ रहा था.
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
2 प्रधान पुरोहित तथा शास्त्री इस खोज में थे कि प्रभु येशु को किस प्रकार मार डाला जाए, किंतु उन्हें लोगों का भय था.
And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death; for they feared the people.
3 शैतान ने कारियोतवासी यहूदाह में, जो बारह शिष्यों में से एक था, प्रवेश किया.
And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
4 उसने प्रधान पुरोहितों तथा अधिकारियों से मिलकर निश्चित किया कि वह किस प्रकार प्रभु येशु को पकड़वा सकता है.
And he went away, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver him unto them.
5 इस पर प्रसन्न हो वे उसे इसका दाम देने पर सहमत हो गए.
And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
6 यहूदाह प्रभु येशु को उनके हाथ पकड़वा देने के ऐसे सुअवसर की प्रतीक्षा करने लगा, जब आस-पास भीड़ न हो.
And he consented, and sought opportunity to deliver him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
7 तब अखमीरी रोटी का उत्सव आ गया, जब फ़सह का मेमना बलि किया जाता था.
And the day of unleavened bread came, on which the passover must be sacrificed.
8 प्रभु येशु ने पेतरॉस और योहन को इस आज्ञा के साथ भेजा, “जाओ और हमारे लिए फ़सह की तैयारी करो.”
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat.
9 उन्होंने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “प्रभु, हम किस स्थान पर इसकी तैयारी करें, आप क्या चाहते हैं?”
And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we make ready?
10 प्रभु येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “नगर में प्रवेश करते ही तुम्हें एक व्यक्ति पानी का घड़ा ले जाता हुआ मिलेगा. उसका पीछा करते हुए तुम उस घर में चले जाना,
And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house whereinto he goeth.
11 जिस घर में वह प्रवेश करेगा. उस घर के स्वामी से कहना, ‘गुरु ने पूछा है, “वह अतिथि कक्ष कहां है जहां मैं अपने शिष्यों के साथ फ़सह खाऊंगा?”’
And ye shall say unto the master of the house, The Teacher saith unto thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
12 वह तुमको एक विशाल, सुसज्जित ऊपरी कक्ष दिखाएगा; तुम वहीं सारी तैयारी करना.”
And he will show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
13 यह सुन वे दोनों वहां से चले गए और सब कुछ ठीक वैसा ही पाया जैसा प्रभु येशु ने कहा था. उन्होंने वहां फ़सह तैयार किया.
And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
14 नियत समय पर प्रभु येशु अपने प्रेरितों के साथ भोज पर बैठे.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the apostles with him.
15 उन्होंने प्रेरितों से कहा, “मेरी बड़ी लालसा थी कि मैं अपने दुःख-भोग के पहले यह फ़सह तुम्हारे साथ खाऊं.
And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 क्योंकि सच यह है कि मैं इसे दोबारा तब तक नहीं खाऊंगा जब तक यह परमेश्वर के राज्य में पूरा न हो.”
for I say unto you, I shall not eat it, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 तब उन्होंने प्याला उठाया, परमेश्वर के प्रति धन्यवाद दिया और कहा, “इसे लो, आपस में बांट लो
And he received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
18 क्योंकि यह निर्धारित है कि जब तक परमेश्वर के राज्य का आगमन न हो जाए, दाख का रस तब तक मैं नहीं पिऊंगा.”
for I say unto you, I shall not drink from henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 तब उन्होंने रोटी ली, धन्यवाद देते हुए उसे तोड़ा और शिष्यों को यह कहते हुए दे दी, “यह मेरा शरीर है, जो तुम्हारे लिए दिया जा रहा है. मेरी याद में तुम ऐसा ही किया करना.”
And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 इसी प्रकार इसके बाद प्रभु येशु ने प्याला उठाया और कहा, “यह प्याला मेरे लहू में, जो तुम्हारे लिए बहाया जा रहा है, नई वाचा है.
And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, [even] that which is poured out for you.
21 वह, जो मुझे पकड़वाएगा हमारे साथ इस भोज में शामिल है.
But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
22 मनुष्य का पुत्र, जैसा उसके लिए तय किया गया है, आगे बढ़ रहा है, किंतु धिक्कार है उस व्यक्ति पर जो उसे पकड़वा रहा है!”
For the Son of man indeed goeth, as it hath been determined: but woe unto that man through whom he is betrayed!
23 यह सुन वे आपस में विचार-विमर्श करने लगे कि वह कौन हो सकता है, जो यह करने पर है.
And they began to question among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
24 उनके बीच यह विवाद भी उठ खड़ा हुआ कि उनमें से सबसे बड़ा कौन है.
And there arose also a contention among them, which of them was accounted to be greatest.
25 यह जान प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “गैर-यहूदियों के राजा उन पर शासन करते हैं और वे, जिन्हें उन पर अधिकार है, उनके हितैषी कहलाते हैं.
And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles have lordship over them; and they that have authority over them are called Benefactors.
26 किंतु तुम वह नहीं हो—तुममें जो बड़ा है, वह सबसे छोटे के समान हो जाए और राजा सेवक समान.
But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
27 बड़ा कौन है—क्या वह, जो भोजन पर बैठा है या वह, जो खड़ा हुआ सेवा कर रहा है? तुम्हारे मध्य मैं सेवक के समान हूं.
For which is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.
28 तुम्हीं हो, जो मेरे विषम समयों में मेरा साथ देते रहे हो.
But ye are they that have continued with me in my temptations;
29 इसलिये जैसा मेरे पिता ने मुझे एक राज्य प्रदान किया है,
and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me,
30 वैसा ही मैं भी तुम्हें यह अधिकार देता हूं कि तुम मेरे राज्य में मेरी मेज़ पर बैठकर मेरे साथ संगति करो, और सिंहासनों पर बैठकर इस्राएल के बारह वंशों का न्याय.
that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 “शिमओन, शिमओन, सुनो! शैतान ने तुम सबको गेहूं के समान अलग करने की आज्ञा प्राप्त कर ली है.
Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat:
32 किंतु शिमओन, तुम्हारे लिए मैंने प्रार्थना की है कि तुम्हारे विश्वास का पतन न हो. जब तुम पहले जैसी स्थिति पर लौट आओ तो अपने भाइयों को भी विश्वास में मजबूत करना.”
but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not; and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, establish thy brethren.
33 पेतरॉस ने प्रभु येशु से कहा, “प्रभु, मैं तो आपके साथ दोनों ही को स्वीकारने के लिए तत्पर हूं—बंदीगृह तथा मृत्यु!”
And he said unto him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death.
34 प्रभु येशु ने इसके उत्तर में कहा, “सुनो, पेतरॉस, आज रात, मुर्ग तब तक बांग न देगा, जब तक तुम तीन बार इस सच को कि तुम मुझे जानते हो, नकार न चुके होगे.”
And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, until thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
35 प्रभु येशु ने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “यह बताओ, जब मैंने तुम्हें बिना बटुए, बिना झोले और बिना जूती के बाहर भेजा था, क्या तुम्हें कोई अभाव हुआ था?” “बिलकुल नहीं,” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया.
And he said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said, Nothing.
36 तब प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “किंतु अब जिस किसी के पास बटुआ है, वह उसे साथ ले ले. इसी प्रकार झोला भी और जिसके पास तलवार नहीं है, वह अपना वस्त्र बेचकर तलवार मोल ले.
And he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet; and he that hath none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
37 मैं तुम्हें बताना चाहता हूं कि यह जो लेख लिखा है, ‘उसकी गिनती अपराधियों में हुई’ उसका मुझमें पूरा होना ज़रूरी है; क्योंकि मुझसे संबंधित सभी लेखों का पूरा होना अवश्य है.”
For I say unto you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, And he was reckoned with transgressors: for that which concerneth me hath fulfilment.
38 शिष्यों ने कहा, “प्रभु, देखिए, ये दो तलवारें हैं.” प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “पर्याप्त हैं.”
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
39 तब प्रभु येशु उस घर के बाहर निकलकर ज़ैतून पर्वत पर चले गए, जहां वह प्रायः जाया करते थे. उनके शिष्य भी उनके साथ थे.
And he came out, and went, as his custom was, unto the mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed him.
40 उस स्थान पर पहुंचकर प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “प्रार्थना करो कि तुम परीक्षा में न फंसो.”
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 तब प्रभु येशु शिष्यों से कुछ ही दूरी पर गए और उन्होंने घुटने टेककर यह प्रार्थना की:
And he was parted from them about a stone’s cast; and he kneeled down and prayed,
42 “पिताजी, यदि संभव हो तो यातना का यह प्याला मुझसे दूर कर दीजिए फिर भी मेरी नहीं, आपकी इच्छा पूरी हो.”
saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 उसी समय स्वर्ग से एक स्वर्गदूत ने आकर उनमें बल का संचार किया.
And there appeared unto him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.
44 प्राण निकलने के समान दर्द में वह और भी अधिक कातर भाव में प्रार्थना करने लगे. उनका पसीना लहू के समान भूमि पर टपक रहा था.
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.
45 जब वह प्रार्थना से उठे और शिष्यों के पास आए तो उन्हें सोता हुआ पाया. उदासी के मारे शिष्य सो चुके थे.
And when he rose up from his prayer, he came unto the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 प्रभु येशु ने शिष्यों से कहा, “सो क्यों रहे हो? उठो! प्रार्थना करो कि तुम किसी परीक्षा में न फंसो.”
and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
47 प्रभु येशु जब यह कह ही रहे थे, तभी एक भीड़ वहां आ पहुंची. उनमें यहूदाह, जो बारह शिष्यों में से एक था, सबसे आगे था. वह प्रभु येशु को चूमने के लिए आगे बढ़ा
While he yet spake, behold, a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them; and he drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
48 किंतु प्रभु येशु ने उससे कहा, “यहूदाह! क्या मनुष्य के पुत्र को तुम इस चुंबन के द्वारा पकड़वा रहे हो?”
But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
49 यह पता चलने पर कि क्या होने पर है शिष्यों ने प्रभु येशु से पूछा, “प्रभु, क्या हम तलवार चलाएं?”
And when they that were about him saw what would follow, they said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 उनमें से एक ने तो महापुरोहित के दास पर वार कर उस दास का दाहिना कान ही उड़ा दिया.
And a certain one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his right ear.
51 “बस! बहुत हुआ” प्रभु येशु इस पर बोले, और उन्होंने उस दास के कान का स्पर्श कर उसे पहले जैसा कर दिया.
But Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye [them] thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 तब प्रभु येशु ने प्रधान पुरोहितों, मंदिर के पहरुओं तथा वहां उपस्थित पुरनियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “तलवारें और लाठियां लेकर क्या आप किसी राजद्रोही को पकड़ने आए हैं?
And Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and elders, that were come against him, Are ye come out, as against a robber, with swords and staves?
53 आपने मुझे तब तो नहीं पकड़ा जब मैं मंदिर आंगन में प्रतिदिन आपके साथ हुआ करता था! यह इसलिये कि यह क्षण आपका है—अंधकार के हाकिम का.”
When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched not forth your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 वे प्रभु येशु को पकड़कर महापुरोहित के घर पर ले गए. पेतरॉस दूर ही दूर से उनके पीछे-पीछे चलते रहे.
And they seized him, and led him [away], and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed afar off.
55 जब लोग आंगन में आग जलाए हुए बैठे थे, पेतरॉस भी उनके साथ बैठ गए.
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and had sat down together, Peter sat in the midst of them.
56 एक सेविका ने पेतरॉस को आग की रोशनी में देखा और उनको एकटक देखते हुए कहा, “यह व्यक्ति भी उसके साथ था!”
And a certain maid seeing him as he sat in the light [of the fire], and looking stedfastly upon him, said, This man also was with him.
57 पेतरॉस ने नकारते हुए कहा, “नहीं! हे स्त्री, मैं उसे नहीं जानता!”
But he denied, saying, Woman, I know him not.
58 कुछ समय बाद किसी अन्य ने उन्हें देखकर कहा, “तुम भी तो उनमें से एक हो!” “नहीं भाई, नहीं!” पेतरॉस ने उत्तर दिया.
And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou also art [one] of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.
59 लगभग एक घंटे बाद एक अन्य व्यक्ति ने बल देते हुए कहा, “निःसंदेह यह व्यक्ति भी उसके साथ था क्योंकि यह भी गलीलवासी है.”
And after the space of about one hour another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this man also was with him; for he is a Galilæan.
60 पेतरॉस ने उत्तर दिया, “महोदय, मेरी समझ में नहीं आ रहा कि आप क्या कह रहे हैं!” जब वह यह कह ही रहे थे कि एक मुर्ग ने बांग दी.
But Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
61 उसी समय प्रभु ने मुड़कर पेतरॉस की ओर दृष्टि की और पेतरॉस को प्रभु की पहले कही हुई बात याद आ गई: “इसके पहले कि मुर्ग बांग दे, तुम आज तीन बार मुझे नकार चुके होगे.”
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said unto him, Before the cock crow this day thou shalt deny me thrice.
62 पेतरॉस बाहर चले गए और फूट-फूटकर रोने लगे.
And he went out, and wept bitterly.
63 जिन्होंने प्रभु येशु को पकड़ा था, वे उनको ठट्ठों में उड़ाते हुए उन पर वार करते जा रहे थे.
And the men that held [Jesus] mocked him, and beat him.
64 उन्होंने प्रभु येशु की आंखों पर पट्टी बांधी और उनसे पूछने लगे, “भविष्यवाणी कर, किसने वार किया है तुझ पर?”
And they blindfolded him, and asked him, saying, Prophesy: who is he that struck thee?
65 इसके अतिरिक्त वे उनकी निंदा करते हुए उनके लिए अनेक अपमानजनक शब्द भी कहे जा रहे थे.
And many other things spake they against him, reviling him.
66 पौ फटने पर पुरनिये लोगों ने प्रधान पुरोहितों तथा शास्त्रियों की एक सभा बुलाई और प्रभु येशु को महासभा में ले गए.
And as soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and scribes; and they led him away into their council, saying,
67 उन्होंने प्रभु येशु से प्रश्न किया. “यदि तुम ही मसीह हो तो हमें बता दो.” प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “यदि मैं आपको यह बताऊंगा तो भी आप इसका विश्वास नहीं करेंगे और
If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
68 यदि मैं आपसे कोई प्रश्न करूं तो आप उसका उत्तर ही न देंगे;
and if I ask [you], ye will not answer.
69 किंतु अब इसके बाद मनुष्य का पुत्र सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर की दायीं ओर बैठाया जाएगा.”
But from henceforth shall the Son of man be seated at the right hand of the power of God.
70 उन्होंने प्रश्न किया, “तो क्या तुम परमेश्वर के पुत्र हो?” प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “जी हां, मैं हूं.”
And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
71 यह सुन वे कहने लगे, “अब हमें गवाहों की क्या ज़रूरत है? स्वयं हमने यह इसके मुख से सुन लिया है.”
And they said, What further need have we of witness? for we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.
