लूका 10
1 इसके बाद प्रभु ने अन्य बहत्तर व्यक्तियों को चुनकर उन्हें दो-दो करके उन नगरों और स्थानों पर अपने आगे भेज दिया, जहां वह स्वयं जाने पर थे.
Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place where he himself was about to come.
2 प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “उपज तो बहुत है किंतु मज़दूर कम, इसलिये उपज के स्वामी से विनती करो कि इस उपज के लिए मज़दूर भेज दें.”
And he said to them, The harvest indeed [is] great, but the workmen few; supplicate therefore the Lord of the harvest that he may send out workmen into his harvest.
3 जाओ! मैं तुम्हें भेज रहा हूं. तुम भेड़ियों के मध्य मेमनों के समान हो.
Go: behold I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves.
4 अपने साथ न तो धन, न झोला और न ही जूतियां ले जाना. मार्ग में किसी का कुशल मंगल पूछने में भी समय खर्च न करना.
Carry neither purse nor scrip nor sandals, and salute no one on the way.
5 “जिस किसी घर में प्रवेश करो, तुम्हारे सबसे पहले शब्द हों, ‘इस घर में शांति बनी रहे.’
And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace to this house.
6 यदि परिवार-प्रधान शांति प्रिय व्यक्ति है, तुम्हारी शांति उस पर बनी रहेगी. यदि वह ऐसा नहीं है तो तुम्हारी शांति तुम्हारे ही पास लौट आएगी.
And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; but if not it shall turn to you again.
7 उसी घर के मेहमान बने रहना. भोजन और पीने के लिए जो कुछ तुम्हें परोसा जाए, उसे स्वीकार करना क्योंकि सेवक अपने वेतन का अधिकारी है. एक घर से निकलकर दूसरे घर में मेहमान न बनना.
And in the same house abide, eating and drinking such things as they have; for the workman is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house.
8 “जब तुम किसी नगर में प्रवेश करो और वहां लोग तुम्हें सहर्ष स्वीकार करें, तो जो कुछ तुम्हें परोसा जाए, उसे खाओ.
And into whatsoever city ye may enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you,
9 वहां जो बीमार हैं, उन्हें चंगा करना और उन्हें सूचित करना, ‘परमेश्वर का राज्य तुम्हारे निकट आ गया है.’
and heal the sick in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God is come nigh to you.
10 किंतु यदि तुम किसी नगर में प्रवेश करो और वहां नगरवासियों द्वारा स्वीकार न किए जाओ तो उस नगर की गलियों में जाकर यह घोषणा करो,
But into whatsoever city ye may have entered and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11 ‘तुम्हारे नगर की धूल तक, जो हमारे पांवों में लगी है, उसे हम तुम्हारे सामने एक चेतावनी के लिए झाड़ रहे हैं; परंतु यह जान लो कि परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट आ गया है.’
Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us on the feet, do we shake off against you; but know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.
12 सच मानो, न्याय के दिन पर सोदोम नगर के लिए तय किया गया दंड उस नगर के लिए तय किए दंड की तुलना में सहने योग्य होगा.
I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom in that day than for that city.
13 “धिक्कार है तुझ पर कोराज़ीन! धिक्कार है तुझ पर बैथसैदा! ये ही अद्भुत काम, जो तुझमें किए गए हैं यदि सोर और सीदोन नगरों में किए जाते तो वे विलाप-वस्त्र पहन, राख में बैठकर, कब के पश्चाताप कर चुके होते! पश्चाताप कर चुके होते.
Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the works of power which have taken place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they had long ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 किंतु तुम दोनों नगरों की तुलना में सोर और सीदोन नगरों का दंड सहने योग्य होगा.
But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
15 और कफ़रनहूम! क्या तू स्वर्ग तक ऊंचा किए जाने की आशा कर रहा है? अरे! तुझे तो पाताल में उतार दिया जाएगा. (Hadēs g86)
And thou, Capernaum, who hast been raised up to heaven, shalt be brought down even to hades. (Hadēs g86)
16 “वह, जो तुम्हारी शिक्षा को सुनता है, मेरी शिक्षा को सुनता है; वह, जो तुम्हें अस्वीकार करता है, मुझे अस्वीकार करता है किंतु वह, जो मुझे अस्वीकार करता है, उन्हें अस्वीकार करता है, जिन्होंने मुझे भेजा है.”
He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me; and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me.
17 वे बहत्तर बहुत उत्साह से भरकर लौटे और कहने लगे, “प्रभु! आपके नाम में तो दुष्टात्मा भी हमारे सामने समर्पण कर देते हैं!”
And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through thy name.
18 इस पर प्रभु येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मैं शैतान को बिजली के समान स्वर्ग से गिरते देख रहा था.
And he said to them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling out of heaven.
19 मैंने तुम्हें सांपों और बिच्छुओं को रौंदने तथा शत्रु के सभी सामर्थ्य का नाश करने का अधिकार दिया है इसलिये किसी भी रीति से तुम्हारी हानि न होगी.
Behold, I give you the power of treading upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in anywise injure you.
20 फिर भी, तुम्हारे लिए आनंद का विषय यह न हो कि दुष्टात्मा तुम्हारी आज्ञाओं का पालन करते हैं परंतु यह कि तुम्हारे नाम स्वर्ग में लिखे जा चुके हैं.”
Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.
21 प्रभु येशु पवित्र आत्मा के आनंद से भरकर कहने लगे, “पिता! स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी के स्वामी, मैं आपकी स्तुति करता हूं कि आपने ये सभी सच बुद्धिमानों और ज्ञानियों से छुपा रखे और नन्हे बालकों पर प्रकट कर दिए क्योंकि पिता, आपकी दृष्टि में यही अच्छा था.
In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight.
22 “मेरे पिता द्वारा सब कुछ मुझे सौंप दिया गया है. पिता के अलावा कोई नहीं जानता कि पुत्र कौन है, और कोई नहीं जानता कि पिता कौन हैं, सिवाय पुत्र के तथा वे, जिन पर वह प्रकट करना चाहें.”
All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal [him].
23 तब प्रभु येशु ने अपने शिष्यों की ओर उन्मुख हो उनसे व्यक्तिगत रूप से कहा, “धन्य हैं वे आंख, जो वह देख रही हैं, जो तुम देख रहे हो
And having turned to the disciples privately he said, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see.
24 क्योंकि सच मानो, अनेक भविष्यवक्ता और राजा वह देखने की कामना करते रहे, जो तुम देख रहे हो किंतु वे देख न सके तथा वे वह सुनने की कामना करते रहे, जो तुम सुन रहे हो किंतु सुन न सके.”
For I say to you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which ye behold, and did not see [them]; and to hear the things which ye hear, and did not hear [them].
25 एक अवसर पर एक वकील ने प्रभु येशु को परखने के उद्देश्य से उनके सामने यह प्रश्न रखा: “गुरुवर, अनंत काल के जीवन को पाने के लिए मैं क्या करूं?” (aiōnios g166)
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up tempting him, and saying, Teacher, having done what, shall I inherit life eternal? (aiōnios g166)
26 प्रभु येशु ने उससे प्रश्न किया, “व्यवस्था में क्या लिखा है, इसके विषय में तुम्हारा विश्लेषण क्या है?”
And he said to him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 उस व्यक्ति ने उत्तर दिया, “‘प्रभु, अपने परमेश्वर से अपने सारे हृदय, अपने सारे प्राण, अपनी सारी शक्ति तथा अपनी सारी समझ से प्रेम करो तथा अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्रेम.’”
But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 प्रभु येशु ने उससे कहा, “तुम्हारा उत्तर बिलकुल सही है. यही करने से तुम जीवित रहोगे.”
And he said to him, Thou hast answered right: this do and thou shalt live.
29 स्वयं को संगत प्रमाणित करने के उद्देश्य से उसने प्रभु येशु से प्रश्न किया, “तो यह बताइए कौन है मेरा पड़ोसी?”
But he, desirous of justifying himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
30 प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया. “येरूशलेम नगर से एक व्यक्ति येरीख़ो नगर जा रहा था कि डाकुओं ने उसे घेर लिया, उसके वस्त्र छीन लिए, उसकी पिटाई की और उसे अधमरी हालत में छोड़कर भाग गए.
And Jesus replying said, A certain man descended from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into [the hands of] robbers, who also, having stripped him and inflicted wounds, went away leaving him in a half-dead state.
31 संयोग से एक पुरोहित उसी मार्ग से जा रहा था. जब उसने उस व्यक्ति को देखा, वह मार्ग के दूसरी ओर से आगे बढ़ गया.
And a certain priest happened to go down that way, and seeing him, passed on on the opposite side;
32 इसी प्रकार एक लेवी भी उसी स्थान पर आया, उसकी दृष्टि उस पर पड़ी तो वह भी दूसरी ओर से होता हुआ चला गया.
and in like manner also a Levite, being at the spot, came and looked [at him] and passed on on the opposite side.
33 एक शमरियावासी भी उसी मार्ग से यात्रा करते हुए उस जगह पर आ पहुंचा. जब उसकी दृष्टि उस घायल व्यक्ति पर पड़ी, वह दया से भर गया.
But a certain Samaritan journeying came to him, and seeing [him], was moved with compassion,
34 वह उसके पास गया और उसके घावों पर तेल और दाखरस लगाकर पट्टी बांधी. तब वह घायल व्यक्ति को अपने वाहक पशु पर बैठाकर एक यात्री निवास में ले गया तथा उसकी सेवा टहल की.
and came up [to him] and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine; and having put him on his own beast, took him to [the] inn and took care of him.
35 अगले दिन उसने दो दीनार यात्री निवास के स्वामी को देते हुए कहा, ‘इस व्यक्ति की सेवा टहल कीजिए. इसके अतिरिक्त जो भी लागत होगा वह मैं लौटने पर चुका दूंगा.’
And on the morrow [as he left], taking out two denarii he gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him, and whatsoever thou shalt expend more, I will render to thee on my coming back.
36 “यह बताओ तुम्हारे विचार से इन तीनों व्यक्तियों में से कौन उन डाकुओं द्वारा घायल व्यक्ति का पड़ोसी है?”
Which [now] of these three seems to thee to have been neighbour of him who fell into [the hands of] the robbers?
37 वकील ने उत्तर दिया, “वही, जिसने उसके प्रति करुणाभाव का परिचय दिया.” प्रभु येशु ने उससे कहा, “जाओ, तुम्हारा स्वभाव भी ऐसा ही हो.”
And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do thou likewise.
38 प्रभु येशु और उनके शिष्य यात्रा करते हुए एक गांव में पहुंचे, जहां मार्था नामक एक स्त्री ने उन्हें अपने घर में आमंत्रित किया.
And it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, Martha by name, received him into her house.
39 उसकी एक बहन थी, जिसका नाम मरियम था. वह प्रभु के चरणों में बैठकर उनके प्रवचन सुनने लगी
And she had a sister called Mary, who also, having sat down at the feet of Jesus was listening to his word.
40 किंतु मार्था विभिन्न तैयारियों में उलझी रही. वह प्रभु येशु के पास आई और उनसे प्रश्न किया, “प्रभु, क्या आपको इसका लेश मात्र भी ध्यान नहीं कि मेरी बहन ने अतिथि-सत्कार का सारा बोझ मुझ अकेली पर ही छोड़ दिया है? आप उससे कहें कि वह मेरी सहायता करे.”
Now Martha was distracted with much serving, and coming up she said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Speak to her therefore that she may help me.
41 “मार्था, मार्था,” प्रभु ने कहा, “तुम अनेक विषयों की चिंता करती और घबरा जाती हो
But Jesus answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things;
42 किंतु ज़रूरत तो कुछ ही की है—वास्तव में एक ही की. मरियम ने उसी उत्तम भाग को चुना है, जो उससे कभी अलग न किया जाएगा.”
but there is need of one, and Mary has chosen the good part, the which shall not be taken from her.
