यूहन्ना 8
1 और येशु जैतून पर्वत पर चले गये.
but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 भोर को वह दोबारा मंदिर में आए और लोगों के मध्य बैठकर उनको शिक्षा देने लगे.
Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down and taught them.
3 उसी समय फ़रीसियों व शास्त्रियों ने व्यभिचार के कार्य में पकड़ी गई एक स्त्री को लाकर मध्य में खड़ा कर दिया
The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the middle,
4 और मसीह येशु से प्रश्न किया, “गुरु, यह स्त्री व्यभिचार करते हुए पकड़ी गई है.
they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
5 मोशेह ने व्यवस्था में हमें ऐसी स्त्रियों को पथराव द्वारा मार डालने की आज्ञा दी है; किंतु आप क्या कहते हैं?”
Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”
6 उन्होंने मसीह येशु को परखने के लिए यह प्रश्न किया था कि उन पर आरोप लगाने के लिए उन्हें कोई आधार मिल जाए. किंतु मसीह येशु झुककर भूमि पर उंगली से लिखने लगे.
They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.
7 जब वे मसीह येशु से बार-बार प्रश्न करते रहे, मसीह येशु ने सीधे खड़े होकर उनसे कहा, “तुममें से जिस किसी ने कभी कोई पाप न किया हो, वही उसे सबसे पहला पत्थर मारे.”
But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”
8 और वह दोबारा झुककर भूमि पर लिखने लगे.
Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.
9 यह सुनकर वरिष्ठ से प्रारंभ कर एक-एक करके सब वहां से चले गए—केवल वह स्त्री और मसीह येशु ही वहां रह गए.
They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
10 मसीह येशु ने सीधे खड़े होते हुए स्त्री की ओर देखकर उससे पूछा, “हे स्त्री! वे सब कहां हैं? क्या तुम्हें किसी ने भी दंडित नहीं किया?”
Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”
11 उसने उत्तर दिया, “किसी ने भी नहीं, प्रभु.” मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “मैं भी तुम्हें दंडित नहीं करता. जाओ, अब फिर पाप न करना.”
She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”
12 मंदिर में अपनी शिक्षा को दोबारा आरंभ करते हुए मसीह येशु ने लोगों से कहा, “संसार की ज्योति मैं ही हूं. जो कोई मेरे पीछे चलता है, वह अंधकार में कभी न चलेगा क्योंकि जीवन की ज्योति उसी में बसेगी.”
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
13 तब फ़रीसियों ने उनसे कहा, “तुम अपने ही विषय में गवाही दे रहे हो इसलिये तुम्हारी गवाही स्वीकार नहीं की जा सकती है.”
The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”
14 मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “यदि मैं स्वयं अपने विषय में गवाही दे भी रहा हूं, तो भी मेरी गवाही स्वीकार की जा सकती है क्योंकि मुझे मालूम है कि मैं कहां से आया हूं और कहां जा रहा हूं; किंतु तुम लोग नहीं जानते कि मैं कहां से आया और कहां जा रहा हूं.
Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you do not know where I came from, or where I am going.
15 तुम लोग मानवीय सोच से अन्य लोगों का न्याय करते हो; मैं किसी का न्याय नहीं करता.
You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
16 यदि मैं किसी का न्याय करूं भी तो वह सही ही होगा, क्योंकि इसमें मैं अकेला नहीं—इसमें मैं और मेरे भेजने वाला पिता भी शामिल हैं.
Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
17 तुम्हारी व्यवस्था में ही यह लिखा है कि दो व्यक्तियों की गवाही सच के रूप में स्वीकार की जा सकती है.
It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.
18 एक गवाह तो मैं ही हूं, जो स्वयं अपने विषय में गवाही दे रहा हूं और मेरे विषय में अन्य गवाह—मेरे भेजनेवाले—पिता परमेश्वर हैं.”
I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”
19 तब उन्होंने मसीह येशु से पूछा, “कहां है तुम्हारा यह पिता?” मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “न तो तुम मुझे जानते हो और न ही मेरे पिता को; यदि तुम मुझे जानते तो मेरे पिता को भी जान लेते.”
They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
20 मसीह येशु ने ये वचन मंदिर परिसर में शिक्षा देते समय कहे, फिर भी किसी ने उन पर हाथ नहीं डाला क्योंकि उनका समय अभी नहीं आया था.
Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21 मसीह येशु ने उनसे फिर कहा, “मैं जा रहा हूं. तुम मुझे खोजते-खोजते अपने ही पाप में मर जाओगे. जहां मैं जा रहा हूं, तुम वहां नहीं आ सकते.”
Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you cannot come.”
22 तब यहूदी अगुए आपस में विचार करने लगे, “कहीं वह आत्महत्या तो नहीं करेगा क्योंकि वह कह रहा है, ‘जहां मैं जा रहा हूं, वहां तुम नहीं आ सकते’?”
The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, because he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”
23 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम नीचे के हो, मैं ऊपर का हूं, तुम इस संसार के हो, मैं इस संसार का नहीं हूं.
He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
24 मैं तुमसे कह चुका हूं कि तुम्हारे पापों में ही तुम्हारी मृत्यु होगी. क्योंकि जब तक तुम यह विश्वास न करोगे कि मैं ही हूं, जो मैं कहता हूं, तुम्हारी अपने ही पापों में मृत्यु होना निश्चित है.”
I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”
25 तब उन्होंने उनसे पूछा, “कौन हो तुम?” मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “तुमसे मैं अब तक क्या कहता आ रहा हूं?
They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26 तुम्हारे विषय में मुझे बहुत कुछ कहना और निर्णय करना है. मैं संसार से वही कहता हूं, जो मैंने अपने भेजनेवाले से सुना है. मेरे भेजनेवाले विश्वासयोग्य हैं.”
I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However, he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”
27 वे अब तक यह समझ नहीं पाए थे कि मसीह येशु उनसे पिता परमेश्वर के विषय में कह रहे थे.
They did not understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
28 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “जब तुम मनुष्य के पुत्र को ऊंचा उठाओगे तब तुम जान लोगे कि मैं वही हूं और यह भी कि मैं स्वयं कुछ नहीं कहता, मैं वही कहता हूं, जो पिता ने मुझे सिखाया है.
Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.
29 मेरे भेजनेवाले मेरे साथ हैं, उन्होंने मुझे अकेला नहीं छोड़ा क्योंकि मैं सदा वही करता हूं, जिसमें उनकी खुशी है.”
He who sent me is with me. The Father has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
30 ये सब सुनकर अनेकों ने मसीह येशु में विश्वास किया.
As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
31 तब मसीह येशु ने उन यहूदियों से, जिन्होंने उन्हें मान्यता दे दी थी, कहा, “यदि तुम मेरी शिक्षाओं का पालन करते रहोगे तो वास्तव में मेरे शिष्य होगे.
Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32 तुम सत्य को जानोगे और सत्य तुम्हें स्वतंत्र करेगा.”
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
33 उन्होंने मसीह येशु को उत्तर दिया, “हम अब्राहाम के वंशज हैं और हम कभी भी किसी के दास नहीं हुए. तुम यह कैसे कहते हो ‘तुम स्वतंत्र हो जाओगे’?”
They answered him, “We are Abraham’s offspring, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free’?”
34 मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “मैं तुम पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: हर एक व्यक्ति, जो पाप करता है, वह पाप का दास है.
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.
36 इसलिये यदि पुत्र तुम्हें स्वतंत्र करे तो तुम वास्तव में स्वतंत्र हो जाओगे.
If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
37 मैं जानता हूं कि तुम अब्राहाम के वंशज हो, फिर भी तुम मेरी हत्या करने की ताक में हो; यह इसलिये कि तुमने मेरे संदेश को ह्रदय में ग्रहण नहीं किया.
I know that you are Abraham’s offspring, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
38 मैं वही कहता हूं, जो मैंने साक्षात अपने पिता को करते हुए देखा है, परंतु तुम वह करते हो, जो तुमने अपने पिता से सुना है.”
I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”
39 उन्होंने मसीह येशु से कहा, “हमारे पिता अब्राहाम हैं.” मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “यदि तुम अब्राहाम की संतान हो तो अब्राहाम के समान व्यवहार भी करो.
They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.
40 तुम मेरी हत्या करना चाहते हो—मैं, जिसने परमेश्वर से प्राप्त सच तुम पर प्रकट किया है. अब्राहाम का व्यवहार ऐसा नहीं था.
But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.
41 तुम्हारा व्यवहार तुम्हारे ही पिता के समान है.” इस पर उन्होंने विरोध किया, “हम अवैध संतान नहीं हैं, हमारा एक ही पिता है—परमेश्वर.”
You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”
42 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “यदि परमेश्वर तुम्हारे पिता होते तो तुम मुझसे प्रेम करते क्योंकि मैं परमेश्वर से हूं. मैं अपनी इच्छा से नहीं आया; परमेश्वर ने मुझे भेजा है.
Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I have not come of myself, but he sent me.
43 मेरी बातें तुम इसलिये नहीं समझते कि तुममें मेरा संदेश सुनने की क्षमता नहीं है.
Why do not you understand my speech? Because you cannot hear my word.
44 तुम अपने पिता शैतान से हो और उसी पिता की इच्छाओं को पूरा करना चाहते हो. वह प्रारंभ से ही हत्यारा है और सच उसका आधार कभी रहा ही नहीं क्योंकि सच उसमें है ही नहीं. जब वह कुछ भी कहता है, अपने स्वभाव के अनुसार झूठ ही कहता है, क्योंकि वह झूठा और झूठ का पिता है.
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
45 मैं सच कहता हूं इसलिये तुम मेरा विश्वास नहीं करते.
But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.
46 तुममें से कौन मुझे पापी प्रमाणित कर सकता है? तो जब मैं सच कहता हूं तो तुम मेरा विश्वास क्यों नहीं करते?
Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
47 वह, जो परमेश्वर का है, परमेश्वर के वचनों को सुनता है. ये वचन तुम इसलिये नहीं सुनते कि तुम परमेश्वर के नहीं हो.”
He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
48 इस पर यहूदी अगुए बोले, “तो क्या हमारा यह मत सही नहीं कि तुम शमरियावासी हो और तुममें दुष्टात्मा समाया हुआ है?”
Then the Jews answered him, “Do not we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
49 मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “मुझमें दुष्टात्मा नहीं है. मैं अपने पिता का सम्मान करता हूं और तुम मेरा अपमान करते हो.
Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.
50 मैं अपनी महिमा के लिए प्रयास नहीं करता हूं; एक हैं, जो इसके लिए प्रयास करते हैं और निर्णय भी वही करते हैं.
But I do not seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
51 मैं तुम पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: यदि कोई मेरी शिक्षा का पालन करेगा, उसकी मृत्यु कभी न होगी.” (aiōn g165)
Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death in this age (aiōn g165)."
52 इस पर यहूदियों ने मसीह येशु से कहा, “अब हमें निश्चय हो गया कि तुममें दुष्टात्मा है. अब्राहाम और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की मृत्यु हो चुकी और तुम कहते हो कि जो कोई तुम्हारी शिक्षा का पालन करेगा, उसकी मृत्यु कभी न होगी. (aiōn g165)
Then the Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, 'If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death in this age (aiōn g165).'
53 क्या तुम हमारे पिता अब्राहाम से भी बड़े हो? उनकी मृत्यु हुई और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की भी. तुम अपने आपको समझते क्या हो?”
Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”
54 मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “यदि मैं स्वयं को गौरवान्वित करता हूं तो मेरी महिमा व्यर्थ है. जिन्होंने मुझे गौरवान्वित किया है वह मेरे पिता हैं, जिन्हें तुम अपना परमेश्वर मानते हो.
Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.
55 तुम उन्हें नहीं जानते, मैं उन्हें जानता हूं. यदि मैं यह कहता कि मैं उन्हें नहीं जानता तो मैं भी तुम्हारे समान झूठा साबित हो जाऊंगा. मैं उन्हें जानता हूं, इसलिये उनके आदेशों का पालन करता हूं.
You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I do not know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him and keep his word.
56 तुम्हारे पिता अब्राहाम मेरा दिन देखने की आशा में मगन हुए थे. उन्होंने इसे देखा और आनंदित हुए.”
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it and was glad.”
57 तब यहूदियों ने कटाक्ष किया, “तुम्हारी आयु तो अभी पचास वर्ष की भी नहीं है और तुमने अब्राहाम को देखा है?”
The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Abraham?”
58 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मैं तुम पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: अब्राहाम के जन्म के पूर्व से ही मैं हूं.”
Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.”
59 यह सुनते ही उन्होंने मसीह येशु का पथराव करने के लिए पत्थर उठा लिए किंतु मसीह येशु उनकी दृष्टि से बचते हुए मंदिर से निकल गए.
Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, having gone through the middle of them, and so passed by.
