यूहन्ना 3
1 निकोदेमॉस नामक एक फ़रीसी, जो यहूदियों के प्रधानों में से एक थे,
Now there was a man of the pharisees, whose name was Nicodemus, a ruler among the Jews:
2 रात के समय मसीह येशु के पास आए और उनसे कहा, “रब्बी, हम जानते हैं कि आप परमेश्वर की ओर से भेजे गए गुरु हैं क्योंकि ये अद्भुत काम, जो आप करते हैं, कोई भी नहीं कर सकता यदि परमेश्वर उसके साथ न हों.”
who came to Jesus by night, and said unto Him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for none can do these miracles which thou dost, unless God be with him.
3 इस पर मसीह येशु ने कहा, “मैं आप पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: बिना नया जन्म प्राप्त किए परमेश्वर के राज्य का अनुभव असंभव है.”
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily I tell thee, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 निकोदेमॉस ने उनसे पूछा, “वृद्ध मनुष्य का दोबारा जन्म लेना कैसे संभव है, क्या वह नया जन्म लेने के लिए पुनः अपनी माता के गर्भ में प्रवेश करे?”
Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 मसीह येशु ने स्पष्ट किया, “मैं आप पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: जब तक किसी का जन्म जल और आत्मा से नहीं होता, परमेश्वर के राज्य में उसका प्रवेश असंभव है,
Jesus answered, I tell thee of a truth, Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 क्योंकि मानव शरीर में जन्म मात्र शारीरिक जन्म है, जबकि आत्मा से जन्म नया जन्म है.
That, which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that, which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.
7 चकित न हों कि मैंने आपसे यह कहा कि मनुष्य का नया जन्म होना ज़रूरी है.
Do not wonder that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 जिस प्रकार वायु जिस ओर चाहती है, उस ओर बहती है. आप उसकी ध्वनि तो सुनते हैं किंतु यह नहीं बता सकते कि वह किस ओर से आती और किस ओर जाती है. आत्मा से पैदा व्यक्ति भी ऐसा ही है.”
As the wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound of it, but knowest not whence it cometh, or whither it goeth; so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 निकोदेमॉस ने पूछा, “यह सब कैसे संभव है?”
Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, How can these things be?
10 मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “इस्राएल के शिक्षक,” होकर भी आप इन बातों को नहीं समझते!
Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel and knowest not these things?
11 मैं आप पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: हम वही कहते हैं, जो हम जानते हैं और हम उसी की गवाही देते हैं, जिसे हमने देखा है, किंतु आप हमारी गवाही ग्रहण नहीं करते.
I assure thee, that we speak what we know, and testify what we have seen; though ye receive not our testimony.
12 जब मैं आपसे सांसारिक विषयों की बातें करता हूं, आप मेरा विश्वास नहीं करते तो यदि मैं स्वर्गीय विषयों की बातें करूं तो विश्वास कैसे करेंगे?
If I have told you earthly things and ye believe not, how will ye believe if I should tell you heavenly ones?
13 मनुष्य के पुत्र के अलावा और कोई स्वर्ग नहीं गया क्योंकि वही पहले स्वर्ग से उतरा है.
For no one hath ascended up into heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man who is in heaven.
14 जिस प्रकार मोशेह ने बंजर भूमि में सांप को ऊंचा उठाया, उसी प्रकार ज़रूरी है कि मनुष्य का पुत्र भी ऊंचा उठाया जाए.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up:
that whosoever believeth on Him may not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
16 परमेश्वर ने संसार से अपने अपार प्रेम के कारण अपना एकलौता पुत्र बलिदान कर दिया कि हर एक ऐसा व्यक्ति, जो पुत्र में विश्वास करता है, उसका विनाश न हो परंतु वह अनंत जीवन प्राप्त करे. (aiōnios g166)
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him might not perish, but have everlasting life: (aiōnios g166)
17 क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने अपने पुत्र को संसार पर दोष लगाने के लिए नहीं परंतु संसार के उद्धार के लिए भेजा.
for God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved by Him.
18 हर एक उस व्यक्ति पर, जो उनमें विश्वास करता है, उस पर कभी दोष नहीं लगाया जाता; जो विश्वास नहीं करता वह दोषी घोषित किया जा चुका है क्योंकि उसने परमेश्वर के एकलौते पुत्र में विश्वास नहीं किया.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not, is already condemned; because he hath not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
19 अंतिम निर्णय का आधार यह है: ज्योति के संसार में आ जाने पर भी मनुष्यों ने ज्योति की तुलना में अंधकार को प्रिय जाना क्योंकि उनके काम बुरे थे.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 कुकर्मों में लीन व्यक्ति ज्योति से घृणा करता और ज्योति में आने से कतराता है कि कहीं उसके काम प्रकट न हो जाएं;
For every one that doth evil, hateth the light; and he cometh not to the light, least his deeds should be reproved.
21 किंतु सच्चा व्यक्ति ज्योति के पास आता है, जिससे यह प्रकट हो जाए कि उसके काम परमेश्वर की ओर से किए गए काम हैं.
But he that acts according to truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
22 इसके बाद मसीह येशु और उनके शिष्य यहूदिया प्रदेश में आए, जहां वे उनके साथ रहकर बपतिस्मा देते रहे.
After these things came Jesus, and his disciples into the land of Judea: and He stayed with them there, and baptized.
23 योहन भी यरदन नदी में शालीम नगर के पास एनोन नामक स्थान में बपतिस्मा देते थे क्योंकि वहां जल बहुत मात्रा में था.
And John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim; because there was much water there: and people came to him and were baptized.
24 इस समय तक योहन बंदीगृह में नहीं डाले गए थे.
For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 एक यहूदी ने योहन के शिष्यों से जल द्वारा शुद्धीकरण की विधि के विषय में स्पष्टीकरण चाहा.
Now there arose a dispute between some of the disciples of John, and the Jews, about purifying.
26 शिष्यों ने योहन के पास जाकर उनसे कहा, “रब्बी, देखिए, यरदन पार वह व्यक्ति, जो आपके साथ थे और आप जिनकी गवाही देते रहे हैं, सब लोग उन्हीं के पास जा रहे हैं और वह उन्हें बपतिस्मा भी दे रहे हैं.”
And they came to John, and said unto him, Rabbi, He that was with thee on the other side Jordan, to whom thou barest testimony, behold, He baptizeth and all the people come to Him.
27 इस पर योहन ने कहा, “कोई भी तब तक कुछ प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता, जब तक उसे स्वर्ग से न दिया जाए.
John answered and said, A man can take nothing upon him, unless it be given him from heaven.
28 तुम स्वयं मेरे गवाह हो कि मैंने कहा था, ‘मैं मसीह नहीं किंतु उनके लिए पहले भेजा गया दूत हूं’
Ye your selves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but am sent before Him.
29 वर वही है जिसके साथ वधू है किंतु वर के साथ उसका मित्र उसका शब्द सुन आनंद से अत्यंत प्रफुल्लित होता है. यही है मेरा आनंद, जो अब पूरा हुआ है.
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth with great joy at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore my joy is complete.
30 यह निश्चित है कि वह बढ़ते जाएं और मैं घटता जाऊं.”
He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 जिनका आगमन स्वर्ग से हुआ है वही सबसे बड़ा हैं, जो पृथ्वी से है, वह पृथ्वी का है और पृथ्वी ही से संबंधित विषयों की बातें करता है. वह, जो परमेश्वर से आए हैं, वह सबसे ऊपर हैं.
He, that cometh from above, is above all: he that is of the earth, is earthly, and talketh like one of the earth:
32 जो उन्होंने देखा और सुना है वह उसी की गवाही देते हैं, फिर भी कोई उनकी गवाही ग्रहण नहीं करता.
but He that cometh from heaven, is above all: and what He hath seen and heard, this He testifieth: and yet scarce any one receiveth his testimony.
33 जिन्होंने उनकी गवाही ग्रहण की है, उन्होंने यह साबित किया है कि परमेश्वर सच्चा है.
He that hath received his testimony, hath set his seal to this, that God is true:
34 वह, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने भेजा है परमेश्वर के वचनों का प्रचार करते हैं, क्योंकि परमेश्वर उन्हें बिना किसी माप के आत्मा देते हैं.
for He, whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for God giveth the Spirit to Him not by measure.
35 पिता को पुत्र से प्रेम है और उन्होंने सब कुछ उसके हाथ में सौंप दिया है.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all into his hand:
36 वह, जो पुत्र में विश्वास करता है, अनंत काल के जीवन में प्रवेश कर चुका है किंतु जो पुत्र को नहीं मानता है, वह अनंत काल का जीवन प्राप्त नहीं करेगा परंतु परमेश्वर का क्रोध उस पर बना रहेगा. (aiōnios g166)
wherefore he that believeth on the Son, hath eternal life; and he that obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
