यूहन्ना 21
1 इसके बाद तिबेरियॉस झील के तट पर मसीह येशु ने स्वयं को शिष्यों पर दोबारा प्रकट किया. यह इस प्रकार हुआ:
After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he [himself].
2 शिमओन पेतरॉस, थोमॉस, जिनका उपनाम दिदुमॉस है, गलील प्रदेश के कानावासी नाथानाएल, ज़ेबेदियॉस के पुत्र और मसीह येशु के अन्य दो शिष्य इकट्ठा थे.
There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the [sons] of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 शिमओन पेतरॉस ने उनसे कहा, “मैं तो दोबारा मछली पकड़ना आरंभ कर रहा हूं.” शेष सभी ने कहा, “चलिए, हम भी आपके साथ चलते हैं.” तब वे वहां से निकलकर नाव में आ गए. उस रात वे एक भी मछली न पकड़ सके.
Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 सूर्योदय हो रहा था और मसीह येशु झील के तट पर खड़े थे किंतु शिष्य पहचान न सके कि वह मसीह येशु हैं.
But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरे बालकों, मछलियां नहीं मिलीं न?” “नहीं,” शिष्यों ने उत्तर दिया.
Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “नाव की दायीं ओर जाल डालो तो मिलेंगी.” उन्होंने जाल डाला और उन्हें इतनी अधिक मछलियां मिलीं कि वे जाल को खींच न सके.
And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 मसीह येशु के उस प्रिय शिष्य ने पेतरॉस से कहा, “वह प्रभु हैं!” यह सुनते ही कि वह प्रभु हैं, शिमओन पेतरॉस ने अपना बाहरी कपड़ा लपेटा और झील में कूद पड़े—क्योंकि उस समय वह आधे वस्त्रों में थे.
Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt [his] fisher’s coat [unto him], (for he was naked, ) and did cast himself into the sea.
8 बाकी शिष्य छोटी नाव में मछलियों से भरे जाल को खींचते हुए आ गए. वे तट से अधिक नहीं, लगभग सौ मीटर दूर थे.
And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits, ) dragging the net with fishes.
9 तट पर पहुंचने पर उन्होंने देखा कि पहले ही कोयले की आग पर मछली रखी थी और पास में रोटी भी.
As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “अभी जो मछलियां तुमने पकड़ी हैं, उनमें से कुछ यहां ले आओ.”
Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 शिमओन पेतरॉस ने नाव पर चढ़कर जाल तट पर खींचा, जो बड़ी-बड़ी एक सौ तिरपन मछलियों से भरा हुआ था. इतनी अधिक मछलियां होने पर भी जाल नहीं फटा.
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 मसीह येशु ने उन्हें आमंत्रण दिया, “आओ, भोजन कर लो.” यह आभास होते हुए भी कि वह प्रभु ही हैं, किसी शिष्य ने उनसे यह पूछने का साहस नहीं किया कि आप कौन हैं.
Jesus saith unto them, Come [and] dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 मसीह येशु ने आगे बढ़कर रोटी उठाई और उन्हें दी और उसके बाद मछली भी.
Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 मरे हुओं में से जी उठने के बाद यह तीसरा अवसर था, जब मसीह येशु शिष्यों पर प्रकट हुए.
This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 भोजन के बाद मसीह येशु ने शिमओन पेतरॉस से प्रश्न किया, “योहन के पुत्र शिमओन, क्या तुम इन सबसे बढ़कर मुझसे प्रेम करते हो?” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “जी हां, प्रभु, आप जानते हैं कि मैं आपसे प्रेम करता हूं.” मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरे मेमनों को चराओ.”
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 मसीह येशु ने दूसरी बार उनसे पूछा, “योहन के पुत्र शिमओन, क्या तुम मुझसे प्रेम करते हो?” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “जी हां, प्रभु, आप जानते हैं मैं आपसे प्रेम करता हूं.” मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरी भेड़ों की देखभाल करो.”
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 मसीह येशु ने तीसरी बार पूछा, “योहन के पुत्र शिमओन, क्या तुम मुझसे प्रेम करते हो?” यह सुनकर पेतरॉस आहत हुए कि मसीह येशु ने उनसे तीसरी बार यह पूछा, “क्या तुम मुझसे प्रेम करते हो?” उत्तर में उन्होंने मसीह येशु से कहा, “प्रभु, आप तो मन की बात समझते हैं, आप जानते हैं कि मैं आपसे प्रेम करता हूं.” मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरी भेड़ों को चराओ.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 मैं तुम पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं, जब तुम युवा थे तो अपनी कमर स्वयं कसा करते थे और अपनी इच्छा अनुसार जहां चाहे वहां जाया करते थे; परंतु जब तुम बूढ़े होगे तो तुम अपने हाथ, ऊपर उठाओगे, कोई दूसरा व्यक्ति तुम्हारी कमर कसेगा और वह तुम्हें वहां ले जाएगा, जहां तुम जाना भी न चाहोगे.”
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not.
19 इस कथन के द्वारा मसीह येशु ने यह संकेत दिया था कि पेतरॉस किस प्रकार की मृत्यु से परमेश्वर की महिमा करेंगे. यह कहने के बाद उन्होंने पेतरॉस से कहा, “मेरे पीछे चलो.”
This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
20 पेतरॉस ने मुड़कर मसीह येशु के उस प्रिय शिष्य को पीछे आते हुए देखा अर्थात् वही, जो फ़सह के भोज के समय उनके अत्यंत पास बैठा था और जिसने प्रश्न किया था, “वह कौन है, जो आपके साथ धोखा कर रहा है?”
Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 उसे देखकर पेतरॉस ने मसीह येशु से प्रश्न किया, “प्रभु इसका क्या होगा?”
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what [shall] this man [do]?
22 मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “यदि मैं चाहूं कि वह मेरे आने तक रहे तो तुम्हें इससे क्या? तुम तो मेरे पीछे चलो.”
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me.
23 इसलिये शिष्य समुदाय में यह धारणा फैल गई कि उस शिष्य की मृत्यु ही नहीं होगी. किंतु मसीह येशु ने उनसे यह नहीं कहा था कि उनकी मृत्यु नहीं होगी. उन्होंने तो केवल यह कहा था, “यदि मैं चाहूं कि वह मेरे आने तक रहे, तो तुम्हें इससे क्या?”
Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?
24 यह वही शिष्य है, जो इन सब घटनाओं का गवाह है और जिसने यह बातें लिखी हैं. हम जानते हैं कि उसकी गवाही सच्ची है.
This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 मसीह येशु ने इनके अतिरिक्त अन्य अनेक काम भी किए. यदि हर एक का वर्णन विस्तार से किया जाता तो मेरे विचार से जितनी पुस्तकें लिखी जातीं वे संसार में भी न समा पातीं.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
