यूहन्ना 19
1 इसलिये पिलातॉस ने मसीह येशु को भीतर ले जाकर उन्हें कोड़े लगवाए.
After that Pilate took Jesus and had him scourged;
2 सैनिकों ने कांटों का एक मुकुट गूंथकर उनके सिर पर रखा और उनके ऊपर एक बैंगनी वस्त्र डाल दिया
and the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, placed it on his head, and threw a purple cloak about him, and kept marching up to him,
3 और वे एक-एक कर उनके सामने आकर उनके मुख पर प्रहार करते हुए कहने लगे, “यहूदियों के राजा की जय!”
saying, "Hail! King of the Jews!" They also gave him blow after blow with their hands.
4 पिलातॉस ने दोबारा आकर भीड़ से कहा, “देखो, मैं उसे तुम्हारे लिए बाहर ला रहा हूं कि तुम जान लो कि मुझे उसमें कोई दोष नहीं मिला.”
Pilate again came forth and said to the people, "See, I am going to bring his out to you, that you may clearly know that I find no crime in him,"
5 तब कांटों का मुकुट व बैंगनी वस्त्र धारण किए हुए मसीह येशु को बाहर लाया गया और पिलातॉस ने लोगों से कहा, “देखो, इसे!”
Then as Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, "BEHOLD, THE MAN!"
6 जब प्रधान पुरोहितों और सेवकों ने मसीह येशु को देखा तो चिल्लाकर कहने लगे, “क्रूसदंड! क्रूसदंड!” पिलातॉस ने उनसे कहा, “इसे ले जाओ और तुम ही दो इसे मृत्यु दंड क्योंकि मुझे तो इसमें कोई दोष नहीं मिला.”
So when the chief priests and the police saw him, they shouted. "Crucify him! Crucify him!" "Take him yourselves and crucify him," said Pilate, "for I find no crime in him."
7 यहूदी अगुओं ने उत्तर दिया, “हमारा एक नियम है. उस नियम के अनुसार इस व्यक्ति को मृत्यु दंड ही मिलना चाहिए क्योंकि यह स्वयं को परमेश्वर का पुत्र बताता है.”
The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself out to be God’s Son,"
8 जब पिलातॉस ने यह सुना तो वह और अधिक भयभीत हो गया.
Now when Pilate heard these words he was more alarmed than ever,
9 तब उसने दोबारा राजमहल में जाकर मसीह येशु से पूछा, “तुम कहां के हो?” किंतु मसीह येशु ने उसे कोई उत्तर नहीं दिया.
and entering the Praetorium again, he said to Jesus, "What is your origin?"
10 इसलिये पिलातॉस ने उनसे कहा, “तुम बोलते क्यों नहीं? क्या तुम नहीं जानते कि मुझे यह अधिकार है कि मैं तुम्हें मुक्त कर दूं और यह भी कि तुम्हें मृत्यु दंड दूं?”
Jesus made no answer. So Pilate said to him. "Do you not speak to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you, or power to crucify you?"
11 मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “आपका मुझ पर कोई अधिकार न होता यदि वह आपको ऊपर से न दिया गया होता. अत्यंत नीच है उसका पाप, जिसने मुझे आपके हाथ सौंपा है.”
"You would have no power over me," answered Jesus, "unless it had been given you from above. For this reason he who has betrayed me to you has the greater sin."
12 परिणामस्वरूप पिलातॉस ने उन्हें मुक्त करने के यत्न किए किंतु यहूदी अगुओं ने चिल्ला-चिल्लाकर कहा, “यदि आपने इस व्यक्ति को मुक्त किया तो आप कयसर के मित्र नहीं हैं. हर एक, जो स्वयं को राजा दर्शाता है, वह कयसर का विरोधी है.”
After that Pilate began to seek to release him, but the Jews shouted out. "If you release this man you are no friend of the Emperor. Any man who makes himself out to be king is a rebel against the Emperor."
13 ये सब सुनकर पिलातॉस मसीह येशु को बाहर लाया और न्याय आसन पर बैठ गया, जो उस स्थान पर था, (जिसे इब्री भाषा में गब्बथा अर्थात् चबूतरा कहा जाता है).
On hearing what they said, Pilate brought Jesus out and made him sit on the judge’s seat in a place called the Mosaic Pavement (the Hebrew name is Gabbatha).
14 यह फ़सह की तैयारी के दिन का छठा घंटा था. पिलातॉस ने यहूदी अगुओं से कहा. “यह लो, तुम्हारा राजा.”
And it was the day of Preparation for the Passover, about six o’clock in the morning. Then he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!"
15 इस पर वे चिल्लाने लगे, “इसे यहां से ले जाओ! ले जाओ इसे यहां से और मृत्यु दंड दो!” पिलातॉस ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या मैं तुम्हारे राजा को मृत्यु दंड दूं?” प्रधान पुरोहितों ने कहा, “कयसर के अतिरिक्त हमारा कोई राजा नहीं है.”
Then they shouted. "Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!" "Crucify your King?" said Pilate. The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar!"
16 तब पिलातॉस ने क्रूस-मृत्युदंड के लिए मसीह येशु को उनके हाथ सौंप दिया. तब सैनिक मसीह येशु को उस स्थान से ले गए.
So then he gave him over to them to be crucified.
17 मसीह येशु अपना क्रूस स्वयं उठाए हुए, उस जगह गये जो इब्री भाषा में गोलगोथा कहलाता है, जिसका अर्थ है खोपड़ी का स्थान.
So they took Jesus, who went forth bearing his own cross, to a place called The Place of a Skull - in the Hebrew tongue, Golgotha.
18 वहां उन्होंने मसीह येशु को अन्य दो व्यक्तियों के साथ उनके मध्य क्रूस पर चढ़ाया.
There they crucified him; and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them.
19 पिलातॉस ने एक पटल पर लिखकर क्रूस पर लगवा दिया. नाज़रेथ का येशु, यहूदियों का राजा.
And Pilate moreover wrote an inscription and placed it above the cross. What he wrote was, "JESUS, THE NAZARENE, KING OF THE JEWS"
20 यह अनेक यहूदियों ने पढ़ा क्योंकि मसीह येशु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने का स्थान नगर के समीप ही था. यह इब्री, लातीनी और यूनानी भाषाओं में लिखा था.
This inscription was read by many of the Jews, because the place where they crucified Jesus was near the city, and the inscription was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.
21 इस पर यहूदियों के प्रधान पुरोहितों ने पिलातॉस से कहा, “यहूदियों का राजा मत लिखिए परंतु वह लिखिए, जो उसने कहा था: ‘मैं यहूदियों का राजा हूं.’”
So the high priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "Do not write ‘King of the Jews,’ but ‘He said, I am King of the Jews.’"
22 पिलातॉस ने उत्तर दिया, “अब मैंने जो लिख दिया, वह लिख दिया.”
Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written!"
23 सैनिकों ने मसीह येशु को क्रूसित करने के बाद उनके बाहरी कपड़े लेकर चार भाग किए और आपस में बांट लिए. उनके अंदर का वस्त्र जोड़ रहित ऊपर से नीचे तक बुना हुआ था.
After the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, to each soldier a part, and the tunic. Now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom;
24 इसलिये सैनिकों ने विचार किया, “इसे फाड़ें नहीं परंतु इस पर पासा फेंककर निर्णय कर लें कि यह किसको मिलेगा.” सैनिकों ने जो किया उससे पवित्र शास्त्र का इस लेख पूरा हो गया: “उन्होंने मेरा बाहरी कपड़ा आपस में बांट लिया, और मेरे अंदर के वस्त्र के लिए पासा फेंका.”
so the soldiers said one to another. "Let us not tear it. Let us draw lots, to see whose it shall be" - that the Scripture might be fulfilled. They divided my garments among them, For my raiment did they cast lots. This was what the soldiers did.
25 मसीह येशु के क्रूस के समीप उनकी माता, उनकी माता की बहन, क्लोपस की पत्नी मरियम और मगदालावासी मरियम खड़ी हुई थी.
Now there stood near the cross of Jesus, his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 जब मसीह येशु ने अपनी माता और उस शिष्य को, जो उनका प्रियजन था, वहां खड़े देखा तो अपनी माता से बोले, “हे स्त्री! यह आपका पुत्र है.”
When Jesus saw his mother, and standing near her the disciple whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman behold your son."
27 और उस शिष्य से बोले, “यह तुम्हारी माता है.” उस दिन से वह शिष्य मरियम का रखवाला बन गया.
Then he said to the disciple, "Behold your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her to his home.
28 इसके बाद मसीह येशु ने यह जानते हुए कि अब सब कुछ पूरा हो चुका है, पवित्र शास्त्र का लेख पूरा करने के लिए कहा, “मैं प्यासा हूं.”
After that, when Jesus knew that everything was now accomplished, he said in fulfilment of the words of Scripture, "I am thirsty."
29 वहां दाखरस के सिरके से भरा एक बर्तन रखा था. लोगों ने उसमें स्पंज भिगो जूफ़ा पौधे की टहनी पर रखकर उनके मुख तक पहुंचाया.
There was a jar full of vinegar standing there; and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon a stalk of hyssop, and put it to his lips.
30 उसे चखकर मसीह येशु ने कहा, “अब सब पूरा हो गया” और सिर झुकाकर प्राण त्याग दिए.
Then after he had taken the vinegar, Jesus said, "IT IS FINISHED!" And bowing his head, he yielded up his spirit.
31 वह फ़सह की तैयारी का दिन था. इसलिये यहूदी अगुओं ने पिलातॉस से निवेदन किया कि उन लोगों की टांगें तोड़कर उन्हें क्रूस से उतार लिया जाए जिससे वे शब्बाथ पर क्रूस पर न रहें क्योंकि वह एक विशेष महत्व का शब्बाथ था.
It was Preparation Day, so in order to prevent the bodies’ hanging on the cross during the Sabbath (for the Sabbath was a great day) the Jews begged Pilate to have the legs broken, and the bodies taken away.
32 इसलिये सैनिकों ने मसीह येशु के संग क्रूस पर चढ़ाए गए एक व्यक्ति की टांगें पहले तोड़ीं और तब दूसरे की.
So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who had been crucified with him.
33 जब वे मसीह येशु के पास आए तो उन्हें मालूम हुआ कि उनके प्राण पहले ही निकल चुके थे. इसलिये उन्होंने उनकी टांगें नहीं तोड़ीं
But upon coming to Jesus they saw that he was already dead, and did not break his legs.
34 किंतु एक सैनिक ने उनकी पसली को भाले से बेधा और वहां से तुरंत लहू व जल बह निकला.
One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a lance, and immediately blood and water flowed out.
35 वह, जिसने यह देखा, उसने गवाही दी है और उसकी गवाही सच्ची है—वह जानता है कि वह सच ही कह रहा है, कि तुम भी विश्वास कर सको.
And he who saw it has borne testimony, and his testimony is trustworthy, and he knows that he is telling the truth in order that you may believe.
36 यह इसलिये हुआ कि पवित्र शास्त्र का यह लेख पूरा हो: उसकी एक भी हड्डी तोड़ी न जाएगी.
For this happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Not one of his bones shall be broken.
37 पवित्र शास्त्र का एक अन्य लेख भी इस प्रकार है: वे उसकी ओर देखेंगे, जिसे उन्होंने बेधा है.
And again another Scripture says, They shall look on him whom they have pierced.
38 अरिमथियावासी योसेफ़ यहूदी अगुओं के भय के कारण मसीह येशु का गुप्त शिष्य था. उसने पिलातॉस से मसीह येशु का शव ले जाने की अनुमति चाही. पिलातॉस ने स्वीकृति दे दी और वह आकर मसीह येशु का शव ले गया.
After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but in secret because of fear of the Jews, asked Pilate for permission to take the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him leave. So he came and took the body.
39 तब निकोदेमॉस भी, जो पहले मसीह येशु से भेंट करने रात के समय आए थे, लगभग तैंतीस किलो गन्धरस और अगरू का मिश्रण लेकर आए.
Nicodemus also (the one who visited Jesus by night, at first) came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, weighing nearly a hundred pounds.
40 इन लोगों ने मसीह येशु का शव लिया और यहूदियों की अंतिम संस्कार की रीति के अनुसार उस पर यह मिश्रण लगाकर कपड़े की पट्टियों में लपेट दिया.
So they took the body of Jesus and wound it in linen with the spices, according to the Jewish mode of burial.
41 मसीह येशु को क्रूसित किए जाने के स्थान के पास एक उपवन था, जिसमें एक नई कब्र की गुफ़ा थी. उसमें अब तक कोई शव नहीं रखा गया था.
There was a garden near the place where Jesus had been crucified, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid.
42 इसलिये उन्होंने मसीह येशु के शव को उसी कब्र की गुफ़ा में रख दिया क्योंकि वह पास थी और वह यहूदियों के शब्बाथ की तैयारी का दिन भी था.
Here, because of its being Preparation Day, and as the tomb was near by, they placed Jesus.
