यूहन्ना 11
1 लाज़रॉस नामक व्यक्ति बीमार था, जो मरियम तथा उसकी बहन मार्था के गांव बैथनियाह का निवासी था.
And a certaine man was sicke, named Lazarus of Bethania, the towne of Marie, and her sister Martha.
2 यह वही मरियम थी, जिसने कीमती और शुद्ध सुगंध द्रव्य से मसीह येशु के चरणों को मलकर उन्हें अपने केशों से पोंछा था, उसी का भाई लाज़रॉस अस्वस्थ था.
(And it was that Mary which anointed the Lord with oyntment, and wiped his feete with her heare, whose brother Lazarus was sicke.)
3 इसलिये बहनों ने मसीह येशु को संदेश भेजा, “प्रभु, आपका प्रिय, लाज़रॉस बीमार है.”
Therefore his sisters sent vnto him, saying, Lord, beholde, he whome thou louest, is sicke.
4 यह सुनकर मसीह येशु ने कहा, “यह बीमारी मृत्यु की नहीं, परंतु परमेश्वर की महिमा का साधन बनेगी, जिससे परमेश्वर का पुत्र गौरवान्वित हो.”
When Iesus heard it, he saide, This sickenes is not vnto death, but for the glorie of God, that the Sonne of God might be glorified thereby.
5 मार्था, उसकी बहन मरियम और लाज़रॉस मसीह येशु के प्रियजन थे.
Nowe Iesus loued Martha and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 उसकी बीमारी के विषय में मालूम होने पर भी मसीह येशु वहीं दो दिन और ठहरे रहे, जहां वह थे.
And after he had heard that he was sicke, yet abode hee two dayes still in the same place where he was.
7 इसके बाद उन्होंने अपने शिष्यों से कहा, “चलो, हम दोबारा यहूदिया चलें.”
Then after that, said he to his disciples, Let vs goe into Iudea againe.
8 शिष्यों ने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “रब्बी, अभी तो यहूदी अगुए पथराव द्वारा आपकी हत्या करना चाह रहे थे, फिर भी आप वहां जाना चाहते हैं?”
The disciples saide vnto him, Master, the Iewes lately sought to stone thee, and doest thou goe thither againe?
9 मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “क्या दिन में प्रकाश के बारह घंटे नहीं होते? यदि कोई दिन में चले तो वह ठोकर नहीं खाता क्योंकि वह संसार की ज्योति को देखता है.
Iesus answered, Are there not twelue houres in the day? If a man walke in the day, hee stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
10 किंतु यदि कोई रात में चले तो ठोकर खाता है क्योंकि उसमें ज्योति नहीं.”
But if a man walke in the night, hee stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
11 इसके बाद मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “हमारा मित्र लाज़रॉस सो गया है. मैं जा रहा हूं कि उसे नींद से जगाऊं.”
These things spake he, and after, he said vnto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth: but I goe to wake him vp.
12 तब शिष्यों ने उनसे कहा, “प्रभु, यदि वह मात्र सो गया है तो स्वस्थ हो जाएगा.”
Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleepe, he shalbe safe.
13 मसीह येशु ने तो उसकी मृत्यु के विषय में कहा था किंतु शिष्य समझे कि वह नींद के विषय में कह रहे थे.
Howbeit, Iesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of the naturall sleepe.
14 इस पर मसीह येशु ने उनसे स्पष्ट शब्दों में कहा, “लाज़रॉस की मृत्यु हो चुकी है.
Then saide Iesus vnto them plainely, Lazarus is dead.
15 यह तुम्हारे ही हित में है कि मैं वहां नहीं था—कि तुम विश्वास करो. आओ, अब हम उसके पास चलें.”
And I am glad for your sakes, that I was not there, that ye may beleeue: but let vs go vnto him.
16 तब थोमॉस ने, जिनका उपनाम दिदुमॉस था, अपने साथी शिष्यों से कहा, “आओ, इनके साथ हम भी मरने चलें.”
Then saide Thomas (which is called Didymus) vnto his felow disciples, Let vs also goe, that we may die with him.
17 वहां पहुंचकर मसीह येशु को मालूम हुआ कि लाज़रॉस को कंदरा-क़ब्र में रखे हुए चार दिन हो चुके है.
Then came Iesus, and found that he had lien in the graue foure dayes alreadie.
18 बैथनियाह नगर येरूशलेम के पास, लगभग तीन किलोमीटर की दूरी पर था.
(Nowe Bethania was neere vnto Hierusalem, about fifteene furlongs off.)
19 अनेक यहूदी अगुएं मार्था और मरियम के पास उनके भाई की मृत्यु पर शांति देने आ गए थे.
And many of ye Iewes were come to Martha and Marie to comfort them for their brother.
20 जैसे ही मार्था को मसीह येशु के नगर के पास होने की सूचना मिली, वह उनसे मिलने चली गई किंतु मरियम घर में ही रही.
Then Martha, when shee heard that Iesus was comming, went to meete him: but Mary sate still in the house.
21 मार्था ने मसीह येशु से कहा, “प्रभु, यदि आप यहां होते तो मेरे भाई की मृत्यु न होती.
Then said Martha vnto Iesus, Lord, if thou hadst bene here, my brother had not bene dead.
22 फिर भी मैं जानती हूं कि अब भी आप परमेश्वर से जो कुछ मांगेंगे, वह आपको देंगे.”
But now I know also, that whatsoeuer thou askest of God, God will giue it thee.
23 मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “तुम्हारा भाई फिर से जीवित हो जाएगा.”
Iesus said vnto her, Thy brother shall rise againe.
24 मार्था ने मसीह येशु से कहा, “मैं जानती हूं. अंतिम दिन पुनरुत्थान के समय वह फिर से जीवित हो जाएगा.”
Martha said vnto him, I know that he shall rise againe in the resurrection at the last day.
25 मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “मैं ही हूं पुनरुत्थान और जीवन. जो कोई मुझमें विश्वास करता है, वह जिएगा—भले ही उसकी मृत्यु हो जाए
Iesus saide vnto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that beleeueth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he liue.
26 तथा वह जीवित व्यक्ति, जो मुझमें विश्वास करता है, उसकी मृत्यु कभी न होगी. क्या तुम यह विश्वास करती हो?” (aiōn g165)
And whosoeuer liueth, and beleeueth in me, shall neuer die: Beleeuest thou this? (aiōn g165)
27 उसने कहा, “जी हां, प्रभु, मुझे विश्वास है कि आप ही मसीह हैं, आप ही परमेश्वर के पुत्र हैं और आप ही वह हैं, जिनके संसार में आने के बारे में पहले से बताया गया था.”
She said vnto him, Yea, Lord, I beleeue that thou art that Christ that Sonne of God, which should come into the world.
28 यह कहकर वह लौट गई और अपनी बहन मरियम को अलग ले जाकर उसे सूचित किया, “गुरुवर आ गए हैं और तुम्हें बुला रहे हैं.”
And when she had so saide, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
29 यह सुनकर मरियम तत्काल मसीह येशु से मिलने निकल पड़ी.
And when she heard it, shee arose quickly, and came vnto him.
30 मसीह येशु ने अब तक नगर में प्रवेश नहीं किया था. वह वहीं थे, जहां मार्था ने उनसे भेंट की थी.
For Iesus was not yet come into the towne, but was in the place where Martha met him.
31 जब वहां शांति देने आए यहूदियों ने मरियम को एकाएक उठकर बाहर जाते हुए देखा तो वे भी उसके पीछे-पीछे यह समझकर चले गए कि वह कब्र पर रोने के लिए जा रही है.
The Iewes then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they sawe Marie, that she rose vp hastily, and went out, folowed her, saying, She goeth vnto the graue, to weepe there.
32 मसीह येशु के पास पहुंच मरियम उनके चरणों में गिर पड़ी और कहने लगी, “प्रभु, यदि आप यहां होते तो मेरे भाई की मृत्यु न होती.”
Then when Mary was come where Iesus was, and sawe him, she fell downe at his feete, saying vnto him, Lord, if thou haddest bene here, my brother had not bene dead.
33 मसीह येशु ने उसे और उसके साथ आए यहूदियों को रोते हुए देखा तो उनका हृदय व्याकुल हो उठा. उन्होंने उदास शब्द में पूछा,
When Iesus therefore saw her weepe, and the Iewes also weepe which came with her, hee groned in the spirit, and was troubled in himselfe,
34 “तुमने उसे कहां रखा है?” उन्होंने उनसे कहा, “आइए, प्रभु, देख लीजिए.”
And saide, Where haue ye layde him? They said vnto him, Lord, come and see.
35 येशु रोया!
And Iesus wept.
36 यह देख शेष यहूदी कहने लगे, “देखो इन्हें (येशु को) वह कितना प्रिय था!”
Then saide the Iewes, Beholde, how he loued him.
37 परंतु उनमें से कुछ ने कहा, “क्या यह, जिन्होंने अंधे को आंखों की रोशनी दी, इस व्यक्ति को मृत्यु से बचा न सकते थे?”
And some of them saide, Coulde not he, which opened the eyes of the blinde, haue made also, that this man should not haue died?
38 दोबारा बहुत उदास होकर मसीह येशु कब्र पर आए, जो वस्तुतः एक कंदरा थी, जिसके प्रवेश द्वार पर एक पत्थर रखा हुआ था.
Iesus therefore againe groned in himselfe, and came to the graue. And it was a caue, and a stone was layde vpon it.
39 मसीह येशु ने वह पत्थर हटाने को कहा. मृतक की बहन मार्था ने आपत्ति प्रकट करते हुए उनसे कहा, “प्रभु, उसे मरे हुए चार दिन हो चुके हैं. अब तो उसमें से दुर्गंध आ रही होगी.”
Iesus saide, Take ye away the stone. Martha the sister of him that was dead, said vnto him, Lord, he stinketh alreadie: for he hath bene dead foure dayes.
40 मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “क्या मैंने तुमसे नहीं कहा था कि यदि तुम विश्वास करोगी तो परमेश्वर की महिमा को देखोगी?”
Iesus saide vnto her, Saide I not vnto thee, that if thou diddest beleeue, thou shouldest see the glorie of God?
41 इसलिये उन्होंने पत्थर हटा दिया. मसीह येशु ने अपनी आंखें ऊपर उठाई और कहा, “पिता, मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूं कि आपने मेरी सुन ली.
Then they tooke away the stone from the place where the dead was layde. And Iesus lift vp his eyes, and saide, Father, I thanke thee, because thou hast heard me.
42 मैं जानता हूं कि आप हमेशा मेरी सुनते हैं किंतु यहां उपस्थित भीड़ के कारण मैंने ऐसा कहा है कि वे सब विश्वास करें कि आपने ही मुझे भेजा है.”
I knowe that thou hearest me alwayes, but because of the people that stand by, I said it, that they may beleeue, that thou hast sent me.
43 तब उन्होंने ऊंचे शब्द में पुकारा, “लाज़रॉस, बाहर आ जाओ!”
As hee had spoken these things, hee cried with a loude voyce, Lazarus, come foorth.
44 वह, जो चार दिन से मरा हुआ था, बाहर आ गया. उसका सारा शरीर पट्टियों में और उसका मुख कपड़े में लिपटा हुआ था. मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “इसे खोल दो और जाने दो.”
Then he that was dead, came forth, bound hande and foote with bandes, and his face was bound with a napkin. Iesus said vnto them, Loose him, and let him goe.
45 यह देख मरियम के पास आए यहूदियों में से अनेकों ने मसीह येशु में विश्वास किया.
Then many of the Iewes, which came to Mary, and had seene the thinges, which Iesus did, beleeued in him.
46 परंतु कुछ ने फ़रीसियों को जा बताया कि मसीह येशु ने क्या-क्या किया था.
But some of them went their way to the Pharises, and told them what things Iesus had done.
47 तब प्रधान पुरोहितों और फ़रीसियों ने महासभा बुलाई और कहा: “हम इस व्यक्ति के विषय में क्या कर रहे हैं? यह अद्भुत चिह्नों पर चिह्न दिखा रहा है!
Then gathered the hie Priests, and the Pharises a councill, and said, What shall we doe? For this man doeth many miracles.
48 यदि हम इसे ये सब यों ही करते रहने दें तो सभी इसमें विश्वास करने लगेंगे और रोमी हमसे हमारे अधिकार व राष्ट्र दोनों ही छीन लेंगे.”
If we let him thus alone, all men will beleeue in him, and the Romanes will come and take away both our place, and the nation.
49 तब सभा में उपस्थित उस वर्ष के महापुरोहित कायाफ़स ने कहा, “आप न तो कुछ जानते हैं
Then one of them named Caiaphas, which was the hie Priest that same yere, said vnto them, Ye perceiue nothing at all,
50 और न ही यह समझते हैं कि सारी जनता के विनाश की बजाय मात्र एक व्यक्ति राष्ट्र के हित में प्राणों का त्याग करना आपके लिए भला है!”
Nor yet doe you consider that it is expedient for vs, that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
51 यह उसने अपनी ओर से नहीं कहा था परंतु उस वर्ष के महापुरोहित होने के कारण उसने यह भविष्यवाणी की थी, कि राष्ट्र के हित में मसीह येशु प्राणों का त्याग करेंगे,
This spake hee not of himselfe: but being hie Priest that same yere, he prophecied that Iesus should die for that nation:
52 और न केवल एक जनता के हित में परंतु परमेश्वर की तितर-बितर हुई संतान को इकट्ठा करने के लिए भी.
And not for that nation onely, but that he shoulde gather together in one the children of God, which were scattered.
53 उस दिन से वे सब एकजुट होकर उनकी हत्या की योजना बनाने लगे.
Then from that day foorth they consulted together, to put him to death.
54 इसलिये मसीह येशु ने यहूदियों के मध्य सार्वजनिक रूप से घूमना बंद कर दिया. वहां से वह बंजर भूमि के पास अपने शिष्यों के साथ एफ़्रायिम नामक नगर में जाकर रहने लगे.
Iesus therefore walked no more openly among the Iewes, but went thence vnto a countrey neere to the wildernes, into a citie called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
55 यहूदियों का फ़सह पर्व पास था. आस-पास से अनेक लोग येरूशलेम गए कि फ़सह में सम्मिलित होने के लिए स्वयं को सांस्कारिक रूप से शुद्ध करें.
And the Iewes Passeouer was at hande, and many went out of the countrey vp to Hierusalem before the Passeouer, to purifie themselues.
56 वे मसीह येशु की खोज में थे और मंदिर परिसर में खड़े हुए एक दूसरे से पूछ रहे थे, “तुम्हारा क्या विचार है, वह पर्व में आएगा या नहीं?”
Then sought they for Iesus, and spake among themselues, as they stoode in the Temple, What thinke ye, that he cometh not to the feast?
57 प्रधान पुरोहितों और फ़रीसियों ने मसीह येशु को बंदी बनाने के उद्देश्य से आज्ञा दे रखी थी कि जिस किसी को उनकी जानकारी हो, वह उन्हें तुरंत सूचित करे.
Now both the high Priestes and the Pharises had giuen a commandement, that if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.
