यूहन्ना 1
1 आदि में वचन था, वचन परमेश्वर के साथ था और वचन परमेश्वर था.
In the beginnynge was the worde and the worde was with God: and the worde was God.
2 यही वचन आदि में परमेश्वर के साथ था.
The same was in the beginnynge with God.
3 सारी सृष्टि उनके द्वारा उत्पन्न हुई. सारी सृष्टि में कुछ भी उनके बिना उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ.
All thinges were made by it and with out it was made nothinge that was made.
4 जीवन उन्हीं में था और वह जीवन मानव जाति की ज्योति था.
In it was lyfe and the lyfe was ye lyght of men
5 वह ज्योति अंधकार में चमकती रही. अंधकार उस पर प्रबल न हो सका.
and the lyght shyneth in the darcknes but the darcknes comprehended it not.
6 परमेश्वर ने योहन नामक एक व्यक्ति को भेजा
There was a man sent from God whose name was Iohn.
7 कि वह ज्योति को देखें और उसके गवाह बनें कि लोग उनके माध्यम से ज्योति में विश्वास करें.
The same cam as a witnes to beare witnes of the lyght that all men through him myght beleve.
8 वह स्वयं ज्योति नहीं थे किंतु ज्योति की गवाही देने आए थे.
He was not that lyght: but to beare witnes of the lyght.
9 वह सच्ची ज्योति, जो हर एक व्यक्ति को प्रकाशित करती है, संसार में आने पर थी.
That was a true lyght which lyghteth all men that come into the worlde.
10 वह संसार में थे और संसार उन्हीं के द्वारा बनाया गया फिर भी संसार ने उन्हें न जाना.
He was in ye worlde and the worlde was made by him: and yet the worlde knewe him not.
11 वह अपनी सृष्टि में आए किंतु उनके अपनों ने ही उन्हें ग्रहण नहीं किया.
He cam amonge his (awne) and his awne receaved him not.
12 परंतु जितनों ने उन्हें ग्रहण किया अर्थात् उनके नाम में विश्वास किया, उन सबको उन्होंने परमेश्वर की संतान होने का अधिकार दिया;
But as meny as receaved him to them he gave power to be the sonnes of God in yt they beleved on his name:
13 जो न तो लहू से, न शारीरिक इच्छा से और न मानवीय इच्छा से, परंतु परमेश्वर से पैदा हुए हैं.
which were borne not of bloude nor of the will of the flesshe nor yet of the will of man: but of God.
14 वचन ने शरीर धारण कर हमारे मध्य तंबू के समान वास किया और हमने उनकी महिमा को अपना लिया—ऐसी महिमा को, जो पिता के एकलौते पुत्र की होती है—अनुग्रह और सच्चाई से परिपूर्ण.
And the worde was made flesshe and dwelt amonge vs and we sawe the glory of it as the glory of the only begotten sonne of ye father which worde was full of grace and verite.
15 उन्हें देखकर योहन ने घोषणा की, “यह वही हैं जिनके विषय में मैंने कहा था, ‘वह, जो मेरे बाद आ रहे हैं, वास्तव में मुझसे श्रेष्ठ हैं क्योंकि वह मुझसे पहले थे.’”
Iohn bare witnes of him and cryed sayinge: This was he of whome I spake he that cometh after me was before me because he was yer then I.
16 उनकी परिपूर्णता के कारण हम सबने अनुग्रह पर अनुग्रह प्राप्त किया.
And of his fulnes have all we receaved even (grace) for grace.
17 व्यवस्था मोशेह के द्वारा दी गयी थी, किंतु अनुग्रह और सच्चाई मसीह येशु द्वारा आए.
For the lawe was geven by Moses but grace and truthe came by Iesus Christ.
18 परमेश्वर को कभी किसी ने नहीं देखा, केवल परमेश्वर-पुत्र के अलावा; जो पिता से हैं; उन्हीं ने हमें परमेश्वर से अवगत कराया.
No ma hath sene God at eny tyme. The only begotte sonne which is in ye bosome of ye father he hath declared him.
19 जब यहूदी अगुओं ने येरूशलेम से पुरोहितों और लेवियों को योहन से यह पूछने भेजा, “तुम कौन हो?”
And this is the recorde of Iohn: When the Iewes sent Prestes and Levites from Ierusalem to axe him what arte thou?
20 तो योहन बिना झिझक स्वीकार किया. उसकी गवाही थी, “मैं मसीह नहीं हूं.”
And he confessed and denyed not and sayde playnly: I am not Christ.
21 तब उन्होंने योहन से दोबारा पूछा, “तो क्या तुम एलियाह हो?” योहन ने उत्तर दिया, “नहीं.” तब उन्होंने पूछा, “क्या तुम वह भविष्यवक्ता हो?” योहन ने उत्तर दिया, “नहीं.”
And they axed him: what then? arte thou Helyas? And he sayde: I am not. Arte thou a Prophete? And he answered no.
22 इस पर उन्होंने पूछा, “तो हमें बताओ कि तुम कौन हो, तुम अपने विषय में क्या कहते हो कि हम अपने भेजने वालों को उत्तर दे सकें?”
Then sayd they vnto him: what arte thou that we maye geve an answer to them that sent vs: What sayest thou of thy selfe?
23 इस पर योहन ने भविष्यवक्ता यशायाह के लेख के अनुसार उत्तर दिया, “मैं उसकी आवाज हूं जो बंजर भूमि में पुकार-पुकारकर कह रही है, ‘प्रभु के लिए मार्ग सीधा करो.’”
He sayde: I am the voyce of a cryar in the wyldernes make strayght the waye of the Lorde as sayde the Prophete Esaias.
24 ये लोग फ़रीसियों की ओर से भेजे गए थे.
And they which were sent were of the pharises.
25 इसके बाद उन्होंने योहन से प्रश्न किया, “जब तुम न तो मसीह हो, न भविष्यवक्ता एलियाह और न वह भविष्यद्वक्ता, तो तुम बपतिस्मा क्यों देते हो?”
And they axed him and sayde vnto him: why baptisest thou then yf thou be not Christ nor Helyas nether a Prophet?
26 योहन ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “मैं तो जल में बपतिस्मा देता हूं परंतु तुम्हारे मध्य एक ऐसे हैं, जिन्हें तुम नहीं जानते.
Iohn answered them sayinge: I baptise with water: but one is come amonge you whom ye knowe not
27 यह वही हैं, जो मेरे बाद आ रहे हैं, मैं जिनकी जूती का बंध खोलने के योग्य भी नहीं हूं.”
he it is that cometh after me whiche was before me whose sho latchet I am not worthy to vnlose.
28 ये सब बैथनियाह गांव में हुआ, जो यरदन नदी के पार था जिसमें योहन बपतिस्मा दिया करते थे.
These thinges were done in Bethabara beyonde Iordan where Iohn dyd baptyse.
29 अगले दिन योहन ने मसीह येशु को अपनी ओर आते हुए देखकर भीड़ से कहा, “वह देखो! परमेश्वर का मेमना, जो संसार के पाप का उठानेवाला है!
The nexte daye Iohn sawe Iesus commyge vnto him and sayde: beholde the lambe of God which taketh awaye the synne of the worlde.
30 यह वही हैं, जिनके विषय में मैंने कहा था, ‘मेरे बाद वह आ रहे हैं, जो मुझसे श्रेष्ठ हैं क्योंकि वह मुझसे पहले से मौजूद हैं.’
This is he of whom I sayde. After me cometh a man which was before me for he was yer then I
31 मैं भी उन्हें नहीं जानता था, मैं जल में बपतिस्मा देता हुआ इसलिये आया कि वह इस्राएल पर प्रकट हो जाएं.”
and I knew him not: but that he shuld be declared to Israell therfore am I come baptisynge with water.
32 इसके अतिरिक्त योहन ने यह गवाही भी दी, “मैंने स्वर्ग से आत्मा को कबूतर के समान उतरते और मसीह येशु पर ठहरते हुए देखा.
And Iohn bare recorde sayinge: I sawe the sprete descende from heven lyke vnto a dove and abyde apon him
33 मैं उन्हें नहीं जानता था किंतु परमेश्वर, जिन्होंने मुझे जल में बपतिस्मा देने के लिए भेजा, उन्हीं ने मुझे बताया, ‘जिस पर तुम आत्मा को उतरते और ठहरते हुए देखोगे, वही पवित्र आत्मा में बपतिस्मा देंगे.’
and I knewe him not. But he that sent me to baptise in water the same sayde vnto me: apon whom thou shalt se the sprete descende and tary styll on him the same is he which baptiseth with the holy goost.
34 स्वयं मैंने यह देखा और मैं इसका गवाह हूं कि यही परमेश्वर का पुत्र हैं.”
And I sawe and bare recorde that this is the sonne of God.
35 अगले दिन जब योहन अपने दो शिष्यों के साथ खड़े हुए थे,
The next daye after Iohn stode agayne and two of his disciples.
36 उन्होंने मसीह येशु को जाते हुए देखकर कहा, “वह देखो! परमेश्वर का मेमना!”
And he behelde Iesus as he walked by and sayde: beholde the lambe of God.
37 यह सुनकर दोनों शिष्य मसीह येशु की ओर बढ़ने लगे.
And the two disciples hearde him speake and folowed Iesus.
38 मसीह येशु ने उन्हें अपने पीछे आते देख उनसे पूछा, “तुम क्या चाहते हो?” उन्होंने कहा, “गुरुवर, आप कहां रहते हैं?”
And Iesus turned about and sawe them folowe and sayde vnto them: what seke ye? They sayde vnto him: Rabbi (which is to saye by interpretacion Master) where dwellest thou?
39 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “आओ और देख लो.” इसलिये उन्होंने जाकर मसीह येशु का घर देखा और उस दिन उन्हीं के साथ रहे. यह दिन का लगभग दसवां घंटा था.
He sayde vnto them: come and se. They came and sawe where he dwelt: and abode with him that daye. For it was about the tenthe houre.
40 योहन की गवाही सुनकर मसीह येशु के पीछे आ रहे दो शिष्यों में एक शिमओन पेतरॉस के भाई आन्द्रेयास थे.
One of the two which hearde Iohn speake and folowed Iesus was Andrew Simon Peters brother.
41 उन्होंने सबसे पहले अपने भाई शिमओन को खोजा और उन्हें सूचित किया, “हमें मसीह—परमेश्वर के अभिषिक्त—मिल गए हैं.”
The same founde his brother Simon fyrst and sayde vnto him: we have founde Messias which is by interpretacion annoynted:
42 तब आन्द्रेयास उन्हें मसीह येशु के पास लाए. मसीह येशु ने शिमओन की ओर देखकर कहा, “तुम योहन के पुत्र शिमओन हो, तुम कैफ़स अर्थात् पेतरॉस कहलाओगे.”
and brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him and sayde: thou arte Simon the sonne of Ionas thou shalt be called Cephas: which is by interpretacion a stone.
43 अगले दिन गलील जाते हुए मसीह येशु की भेंट फ़िलिप्पॉस से हुई. उन्होंने उनसे कहा, “मेरे पीछे हो ले.”
The daye folowynge Iesus wolde goo into Galile and founde Philip and sayde vnto him folowe me.
44 आन्द्रेयास और शिमओन के समान फ़िलिप्पॉस भी बैथसैदा नगर के निवासी थे.
Philip was of Bethsaida the cite of Andrew and Peter.
45 फ़िलिप्पॉस ने नाथानाएल को खोज कर उनसे कहा, “जिनका वर्णन व्यवस्था में मोशेह और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं ने किया है, वह हमें मिल गए हैं—नाज़रेथ निवासी योसेफ़ के पुत्र येशु.”
And Philip founde Nathanael and sayde vnto him. We have founde him of whom Moses in the lawe and the prophetes dyd wryte. Iesus the sonne of Ioseph of Nazareth.
46 यह सुन नाथानाएल ने तुरंत उनसे पूछा, “क्या नाज़रेथ से कुछ भी उत्तम निकल सकता है?” “आकर स्वयं देख लो,” फ़िलिप्पॉस ने उत्तर दिया.
And Nathanael sayde vnto him: can ther eny good thinge come out of Nazareth? Philip sayde to him: come and se.
47 मसीह येशु ने नाथानाएल को अपनी ओर आते देख उनके विषय में कहा, “देखो! एक सच्चा इस्राएली है, जिसमें कोई कपट नहीं है.”
Iesus sawe Nathanael commynge to him and sayde of him. Beholde a ryght Israelite in who is no gyle.
48 नाथानाएल ने मसीह येशु से पूछा, “आप मुझे कैसे जानते हैं?” मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “इससे पूर्व कि फ़िलिप्पॉस ने तुम्हें बुलाया, मैंने तुम्हें अंजीर के पेड़ के नीचे देखा था.”
Nathanael sayd vnto him: where knewest thou me? Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Before that Philip called the when thou wast vnder ye fygge tree I sawe the.
49 नाथानाएल कह उठे, “रब्बी, आप परमेश्वर का पुत्र हैं! आप इस्राएल के राजा हैं!”
Nathanael answered and sayde vnto him: Rabbi thou arte the sonne of God thou arte the kynge of Israel.
50 तब मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम विश्वास इसलिये करते हो कि मैंने तुमसे यह कहा कि मैंने तुम्हें अंजीर के पेड़ के नीचे देखा? तुम इससे भी अधिक बड़े-बड़े काम देखोगे.”
Iesus answered and sayd vnto him: Because I sayde vnto the I sawe the vnder the fygge tree thou belevest. Thou shalt se greater thinges then these.
51 तब उन्होंने यह भी कहा, “मैं तुम पर यह अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं: तुम स्वर्ग को खुला हुआ और परमेश्वर के स्वर्गदूतों को मनुष्य के पुत्र के लिए नीचे आते और ऊपर जाते हुए देखोगे.”
And he sayde vnto him: Verely verely I saye vnto you: herafter shall ye se heven open and the angels of God ascendynge and descendynge over the sonne of man.
