अय्यूब 8
1 तब शूही बिलदद ने कहना प्रारंभ किया:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and saide,
2 “और कितना दोहराओगे इस विषय को? अब तो तुम्हारे शब्द तेज हवा जैसी हो चुके हैं.
Howe long wilt thou talke of these things? and howe long shall the wordes of thy mouth be as a mightie winde?
3 क्या परमेश्वर द्वारा अन्याय संभव है? क्या सर्वशक्तिमान न्याय को पथभ्रष्ट करेगा?
Doeth God peruert iudgement? or doeth the Almightie subuert iustice?
4 यदि तुम्हारे पुत्रों ने परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध पाप किया है, तब तो परमेश्वर ने उन्हें उनके अपराधों के अधीन कर दिया है.
If thy sonnes haue sinned against him, and he hath sent them into the place of their iniquitie,
5 यदि तुम परमेश्वर को आग्रहपूर्वक अर्थना करें, सर्वशक्तिमान से कृपा की याचना करें,
Yet if thou wilt early seeke vnto God, and pray to the Almightie,
6 यदि तुम पापरहित तथा ईमानदार हो, यह निश्चित है कि परमेश्वर तुम्हारे पक्ष में सक्रिय हो जाएंगे और तुम्हारी युक्तता की स्थिति को पुनःस्थापित कर देंगे.
If thou be pure and vpright, then surely hee will awake vp vnto thee, and he wil make the habitation of thy righteousnesse prosperous.
7 यद्यपि तुम्हारा प्रारंभ नम्र जान पड़ेगा, फिर भी तुम्हारा भविष्य अत्यंत महान होगा.
And though thy beginning be small, yet thy latter ende shall greatly encrease.
8 “कृपा करो और पूर्व पीढ़ियों से मालूम करो, उन विषयों पर विचार करो,
Inquire therefore, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thy selfe to search of their fathers.
9 क्योंकि हम तो कल की पीढ़ी हैं और हमें इसका कोई ज्ञान नहीं है, क्योंकि पृथ्वी पर हमारा जीवन छाया-समान होता है.
(For we are but of yesterday, and are ignorant: for our dayes vpon earth are but a shadowe)
10 क्या वे तुम्हें शिक्षा देते हुए प्रकट न करेंगे, तथा अपने मन के विचार व्यक्त न करेंगे?
Shall not they teach thee and tell thee, and vtter the wordes of their heart?
11 क्या दलदल में कभी सरकंडा उग सकता है? क्या जल बिन झाड़ियां जीवित रह सकती हैं?
Can a rush grow without myre? or can ye grasse growe without water?
12 वह हरा ही होता है तथा इसे काटा नहीं जाता, फिर भी यह अन्य पौधों की अपेक्षा पहले ही सूख जाता है.
Though it were in greene and not cutte downe, yet shall it wither before any other herbe.
13 उनकी चालचलन भी ऐसी होती है, जो परमेश्वर को भूल जाते हैं; श्रद्धाहीन मनुष्यों की आशा नष्ट हो जाती है.
So are the paths of al that forget God, and the hypocrites hope shall perish.
14 उसका आत्मविश्वास दुर्बल होता है तथा उसका विश्वास मकड़ी के जाल समान पल भर का होता है.
His confidence also shalbe cut off, and his trust shalbe as the house of a spyder.
15 उसने अपने घर के आश्रय पर भरोसा किया, किंतु वह स्थिर न रह सका है; उसने हर संभव प्रयास तो किए, किंतु इसमें टिकने की क्षमता ही न थी.
He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall holde him fast by it, yet shall it not endure.
16 वह सूर्य प्रकाश में समृद्ध हो जाता है, उसकी जड़ें उद्यान में फैलती जाती हैं.
The tree is greene before the sunne, and the branches spread ouer the garden thereof.
17 उसकी जड़ें पत्थरों को चारों ओर से जकड़ लेती हैं, वह पत्थरों से निर्मित भवन को पकड़े रखता है.
The rootes thereof are wrapped about the fountaine, and are folden about ye house of stones.
18 यदि उसे उसके स्थान से उखाड़ दिया जाए, तब उससे यह कहा जाएगा: ‘तुम्हें मैंने कभी देखा नहीं!’
If any plucke it from his place, and it denie, saying, I haue not seene thee,
19 अय्योब, ध्यान दो! यही है परमेश्वर की नीतियों का आनंद; इसी धूल से दूसरे उपजेंगे.
Beholde, it will reioyce by this meanes, that it may growe in another molde.
20 “मालूम है कि परमेश्वर सत्यनिष्ठ व्यक्ति को उपेक्षित नहीं छोड़ देते, और न वह दुष्कर्मियों का समर्थन करते हैं.
Behold, God will not cast away an vpright man, neither will he take the wicked by the hand,
21 अब भी वह तुम्हारे जीवन को हास्य से पूर्ण कर देंगे, तुम उच्च स्वर में हर्षोल्लास करोगे.
Till he haue filled thy mouth with laughter, and thy lippes with ioy.
22 जिन्हें तुमसे घृणा है, लज्जा उनका परिधान होगी तथा दुर्वृत्तों का घर अस्तित्व में न रहेगा.”
They that hate thee, shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling of the wicked shall not remaine.
