अय्यूब 39
1 “क्या तुम्हें जानकारी है, कि पर्वतीय बकरियां किस समय बच्चों को जन्म देती हैं? क्या तुमने कभी हिरणी को अपने बच्चे को जन्म देते हुए देखा है?
Hast thou known the time of The bearing of the wild goats of the rock? The bringing forth of hinds thou dost mark!
2 क्या तुम्हें यह मालूम है, कि उनकी गर्भावस्था कितने माह की होती है? अथवा किस समय वह उनका प्रसव करती है?
Thou dost number the months they fulfil? And thou hast known the time of their bringing forth!
3 प्रसव करते हुए वे झुक जाती हैं; तब प्रसव पीड़ा से मुक्त हो जाती हैं.
They bow down, Their young ones they bring forth safely, Their pangs they cast forth.
4 उनकी सन्तति होती जाती हैं, खुले मैदानों में ही उनका विकास हो जाता है; विकसित होने पर वे अपनी माता की ओर नहीं लौटते.
Safe are their young ones, They grow up in the field, they have gone out, And have not returned to them.
5 “किसने वन्य गधों को ऐसी स्वतंत्रता प्रदान की है? किसने उस द्रुत गधे को बंधन मुक्त कर दिया है?
Who hath sent forth the wild ass free? Yea, the bands of the wild ass who opened?
6 मैंने घर के लिए उसे रेगिस्तान प्रदान किया है तथा उसके निवास के रूप में नमकीन सतह.
Whose house I have made the wilderness, And his dwellings the barren land,
7 उसे तो नगरों के शोर से घृणा है; अपरिचित है वह नियंता की हांक से.
He doth laugh at the multitude of a city, The cries of an exactor he heareth not.
8 अपनी चराई जो पर्वतमाला में है, वह घूमा करता है तथा हर एक हरी वनस्पति की खोज में रहता है.
The range of mountains [is] his pasture, And after every green thing he seeketh.
9 “क्या कोई वन्य सांड़ तुम्हारी सेवा करने के लिए तैयार होगा? अथवा क्या वह तुम्हारी चरनी के निकट रात्रि में ठहरेगा?
Is a Reem willing to serve thee? Doth he lodge by thy crib?
10 क्या तुम उसको रस्सियों से बांधकर हल में जोत सकते हो? अथवा क्या वह तुम्हारे खेतों में तुम्हारे पीछे-पीछे पाटा खींचेगा?
Dost thou bind a Reem in a furrow [with] his thick band? Doth he harrow valleys after thee?
11 क्या तुम उस पर मात्र इसलिये भरोसा करोगे, कि वह अत्यंत शक्तिशाली है? तथा समस्त श्रम उसी के भरोसे पर छोड़ दोगे?
Dost thou trust in him because great [is] his power? And dost thou leave unto him thy labour?
12 क्या तुम्हें उस पर ऐसा भरोसा हो जाएगा, कि वह तुम्हारी काटी गई उपज को घर तक पहुंचा देगा तथा फसल खलिहान तक सुरक्षित पहुंच जाएगी?
Dost thou trust in him That he doth bring back thy seed? And [to] thy threshing-floor doth gather [it]?
13 “क्या शुतुरमुर्ग आनंद से अपने पंख फुलाती है, उसकी तुलना सारस के परों से की जा सकते है?
The wing of the rattling ones exulteth, Whether the pinion of the ostrich or hawk.
14 शुतुरमुर्ग तो अपने अंडे भूमि पर रख उन्हें छोड़ देती है, मात्र भूमि की उष्णता ही रह जाती है.
For she leaveth on the earth her eggs, And on the dust she doth warm them,
15 उसे तो इस सत्य का भी ध्यान नहीं रह जाता कि उन पर किसी का पैर भी पड़ सकता है अथवा कोई वन्य पशु उन्हें रौंद भी सकता है.
And she forgetteth that a foot may press it, And a beast of the field tread it down.
16 बच्चों के प्रति उसका व्यवहार क्रूर रहता है मानो उनसे उसका कोई संबंध नहीं है; उसे इस विषय की कोई चिंता नहीं रहती, कि इससे उसका श्रम निरर्थक रह जाएगा.
Her young ones it hath hardened without her, In vain [is] her labour without fear.
17 परमेश्वर ने ही उसे इस सीमा तक मूर्ख कर दिया है उसे ज़रा भी सामान्य बोध प्रदान नहीं किया गया है.
For God hath caused her to forget wisdom, And He hath not given a portion To her in understanding:
18 यह सब होने पर भी, यदि वह अपनी लंबी काया का प्रयोग करने लगती है, तब वह घोड़ा तथा घुड़सवार का उपहास बना छोड़ती है.
At the time on high she lifteth herself up, She laugheth at the horse and at his rider.
19 “अय्योब, अब यह बताओ, क्या तुमने घोड़े को उसका साहस प्रदान किया है? क्या उसके गर्दन पर केसर तुम्हारी रचना है?
Dost thou give to the horse might? Dost thou clothe his neck [with] a mane?
20 क्या उसका टिड्डे-समान उछल जाना तुम्हारे द्वारा संभव हुआ है, उसका प्रभावशाली हिनहिनाना दूर-दूर तक आतंक प्रसारित कर देता है?
Dost thou cause him to rush as a locust? The majesty of his snorting [is] terrible.
21 वह अपने खुर से घाटी की भूमि को उछालता है तथा सशस्त्र शत्रु का सामना करने निकल पड़ता है.
They dig in a valley, and he rejoiceth in power, He goeth forth to meet the armour.
22 आतंक को देख वह हंस पड़ता है उसे किसी का भय नहीं होता; तलवार को देख वह पीछे नहीं हटता.
He laugheth at fear, and is not affrighted, And he turneth not back from the face of the sword.
23 उसकी पीठ पर रखा तरकश खड़खड़ाता है, वहीं चमकती हुई बर्छी तथा भाला भी है.
Against him rattle doth quiver, The flame of a spear, and a halbert.
24 बड़ी ही रिस और क्रोध से वह लंबी दूरियां पार कर जाता है; तब वह नरसिंगे सुनकर भी नहीं रुकता.
With trembling and rage he swalloweth the ground, And remaineth not stedfast Because of the sound of a trumpet.
25 हर एक नरसिंग नाद पर वह प्रत्युत्तर देता है, ‘वाह!’ उसे तो दूर ही से युद्ध की गंध आ जाती है, वह सेना नायकों का गर्जन तथा आदेश पहचान लेता है.
Among the trumpets he saith, Aha, And from afar he doth smell battle, Roaring of princes and shouting.
26 “अय्योब, क्या तुम्हारे परामर्श पर बाज आकाश में ऊंचा उठता है तथा अपने पंखों को दक्षिण दिशा की ओर फैलाता है?
By thine understanding flieth a hawk? Spreadeth he his wings to the south?
27 क्या तुम्हारे आदेश पर गरुड़ ऊपर उड़ता है तथा अपना घोंसला उच्च स्थान पर निर्माण करता है?
At thy command goeth an eagle up high? Or lifteth he up his nest?
28 चट्टान पर वह अपना आश्रय स्थापित करता है; चोटी पर, जो अगम्य है, वह बसेरा करता है.
A rock he doth inhabit, Yea, he lodgeth on the tooth of a rock, and fortress.
29 उसी बिंदु से वह अपने आहार को खोज लेता है; ऐसी है उसकी सूक्ष्मदृष्टि कि वह इसे दूर से देख लेता है.
From thence he hath sought food, To a far off place his eyes look attentively,
30 जहां कहीं शव होते हैं, वह वहीं पहुंच जाता है और उसके बच्चे रक्तपान करते हैं.”
And his brood gulp up blood, And where the pierced [are] — there [is] he!
