अय्यूब 39

1 “क्या तुम्हें जानकारी है, कि पर्वतीय बकरियां किस समय बच्चों को जन्म देती हैं? क्या तुमने कभी हिरणी को अपने बच्‍चे को जन्म देते हुए देखा है?

Do you know at what time the wild goats have given birth among the rocks, or do you observe the deer when they go into labor?

2 क्या तुम्हें यह मालूम है, कि उनकी गर्भावस्था कितने माह की होती है? अथवा किस समय वह उनका प्रसव करती है?

Have you numbered the months since their conception, and do you know at what time they gave birth?

3 प्रसव करते हुए वे झुक जाती हैं; तब प्रसव पीड़ा से मुक्त हो जाती हैं.

They bend themselves for their offspring, and they give birth, and they emit roars.

4 उनकी सन्तति होती जाती हैं, खुले मैदानों में ही उनका विकास हो जाता है; विकसित होने पर वे अपनी माता की ओर नहीं लौटते.

Their young are weaned and go out to feed; they depart and do not return to them.

5 “किसने वन्य गधों को ऐसी स्वतंत्रता प्रदान की है? किसने उस द्रुत गधे को बंधन मुक्त कर दिया है?

Who has set the wild ass free, and who has released his bonds?

6 मैंने घर के लिए उसे रेगिस्तान प्रदान किया है तथा उसके निवास के रूप में नमकीन सतह.

I have given a house in solitude to him, and his tabernacle is in the salted land.

7 उसे तो नगरों के शोर से घृणा है; अपरिचित है वह नियंता की हांक से.

He despises the crowded city; he does not pay attention to the bellow of the tax collector.

8 अपनी चराई जो पर्वतमाला में है, वह घूमा करता है तथा हर एक हरी वनस्पति की खोज में रहता है.

He looks around the mountains of his pasture, and he searches everywhere for green plants.

9 “क्या कोई वन्य सांड़ तुम्हारी सेवा करने के लिए तैयार होगा? अथवा क्या वह तुम्हारी चरनी के निकट रात्रि में ठहरेगा?

Will the rhinoceros be willing to serve you, and will he remain in your stall?

10 क्या तुम उसको रस्सियों से बांधकर हल में जोत सकते हो? अथवा क्या वह तुम्हारे खेतों में तुम्हारे पीछे-पीछे पाटा खींचेगा?

Can you detain the rhinoceros with your harness to plough for you, and will he loosen the soil of the furrows behind you?

11 क्या तुम उस पर मात्र इसलिये भरोसा करोगे, कि वह अत्यंत शक्तिशाली है? तथा समस्त श्रम उसी के भरोसे पर छोड़ दोगे?

Will you put your faith in his great strength, and delegate your labors to him?

12 क्या तुम्हें उस पर ऐसा भरोसा हो जाएगा, कि वह तुम्हारी काटी गई उपज को घर तक पहुंचा देगा तथा फसल खलिहान तक सुरक्षित पहुंच जाएगी?

Will you trust him to return to you the seed, and to gather it on your drying floor?

13 “क्या शुतुरमुर्ग आनंद से अपने पंख फुलाती है, उसकी तुलना सारस के परों से की जा सकते है?

The wing of the ostrich is like the wings of the heron, and of the hawk.

14 शुतुरमुर्ग तो अपने अंडे भूमि पर रख उन्हें छोड़ देती है, मात्र भूमि की उष्णता ही रह जाती है.

When she leaves eggs behind in the earth, will you perhaps warm them in the dust?

15 उसे तो इस सत्य का भी ध्यान नहीं रह जाता कि उन पर किसी का पैर भी पड़ सकता है अथवा कोई वन्य पशु उन्हें रौंद भी सकता है.

She forgets that feet may trample them, or that the beasts of the field may shatter them.

16 बच्चों के प्रति उसका व्यवहार क्रूर रहता है मानो उनसे उसका कोई संबंध नहीं है; उसे इस विषय की कोई चिंता नहीं रहती, कि इससे उसका श्रम निरर्थक रह जाएगा.

She is hardened against her young, as if they were not hers; she has labored in vain, with no fear compelling her.

17 परमेश्वर ने ही उसे इस सीमा तक मूर्ख कर दिया है उसे ज़रा भी सामान्य बोध प्रदान नहीं किया गया है.

For God has deprived her of wisdom; neither has he given her understanding.

18 यह सब होने पर भी, यदि वह अपनी लंबी काया का प्रयोग करने लगती है, तब वह घोड़ा तथा घुड़सवार का उपहास बना छोड़ती है.

Yet, when the time is right, she raises her wings on high; she ridicules the horse and his rider.

19 “अय्योब, अब यह बताओ, क्या तुमने घोड़े को उसका साहस प्रदान किया है? क्या उसके गर्दन पर केसर तुम्हारी रचना है?

Will you supply strength to the horse, or envelope his throat with neighing?

20 क्या उसका टिड्डे-समान उछल जाना तुम्हारे द्वारा संभव हुआ है, उसका प्रभावशाली हिनहिनाना दूर-दूर तक आतंक प्रसारित कर देता है?

Will you alarm him as the locusts do? His panic is revealed by the display of his nostrils.

21 वह अपने खुर से घाटी की भूमि को उछालता है तथा सशस्त्र शत्रु का सामना करने निकल पड़ता है.

He digs at the earth with his hoof; he jumps around boldly; he advances to meet armed men.

22 आतंक को देख वह हंस पड़ता है उसे किसी का भय नहीं होता; तलवार को देख वह पीछे नहीं हटता.

He despises fear; he does not turn away from the sword.

23 उसकी पीठ पर रखा तरकश खड़खड़ाता है, वहीं चमकती हुई बर्छी तथा भाला भी है.

Above him, the quiver rattles, the spear and the shield shake.

24 बड़ी ही रिस और क्रोध से वह लंबी दूरियां पार कर जाता है; तब वह नरसिंगे सुनकर भी नहीं रुकता.

Seething and raging, he drinks up the earth; neither does he pause when the blast of the trumpet sounds.

25 हर एक नरसिंग नाद पर वह प्रत्युत्तर देता है, ‘वाह!’ उसे तो दूर ही से युद्ध की गंध आ जाती है, वह सेना नायकों का गर्जन तथा आदेश पहचान लेता है.

When he hears the bugle, he says, “Ha!” He smells the battle from a distance, the exhortation of the officers, and the battle cry of the soldiers.

26 “अय्योब, क्या तुम्हारे परामर्श पर बाज आकाश में ऊंचा उठता है तथा अपने पंखों को दक्षिण दिशा की ओर फैलाता है?

Does the hawk grow feathers by means of your wisdom, spreading her wings towards the south?

27 क्या तुम्हारे आदेश पर गरुड़ ऊपर उड़ता है तथा अपना घोंसला उच्च स्थान पर निर्माण करता है?

Will the eagle lift herself up at your command and make her nest in steep places?

28 चट्टान पर वह अपना आश्रय स्थापित करता है; चोटी पर, जो अगम्य है, वह बसेरा करता है.

She dwells among the rocks, and she lingers among broken boulders and inaccessible cliffs.

29 उसी बिंदु से वह अपने आहार को खोज लेता है; ऐसी है उसकी सूक्ष्मदृष्टि कि वह इसे दूर से देख लेता है.

From there, she looks for food, and her eyes catch sight of it from far away.

30 जहां कहीं शव होते हैं, वह वहीं पहुंच जाता है और उसके बच्‍चे रक्तपान करते हैं.”

Her young will drink blood, and wherever the carcass will be, she is there immediately.
