अय्यूब 38
1 तब स्वयं याहवेह ने तूफान में से अय्योब को उत्तर दिया:
Forsothe the Lord answeride fro the whirlewynd to Joob,
2 “कौन है वह, जो अज्ञानता के विचारों द्वारा मेरी युक्ति को बिगाड़ रहा है?
and seide, Who is this man, wlappynge sentences with vnwise wordis?
3 ऐसा करो अब तुम पुरुष के भाव कमर बांध लो; तब मैं तुमसे प्रश्न करना प्रारंभ करूंगा, तुम्हें इन प्रश्नों का उत्तर देना होगा.
Girde thou as a man thi leendis; Y schal axe thee, and answere thou to me.
4 “कहां थे तुम, जब मैंने पृथ्वी की नींव डाली थी? यदि तुममें कुछ भी समझ है, मुझे इसका उत्तर दो.
Where were thou, whanne Y settide the foundementis of erthe? schewe thou to me, if thou hast vndurstondyng.
5 यदि तुम्हें मालूम हो! तो मुझे बताओ, किसने पृथ्वी की नाप ठहराई है? अथवा, किसने इसकी माप रेखाएं निश्चित की?
Who settide mesures therof, if thou knowist? ethir who stretchide forth a lyne theronne?
6 किस पदार्थ पर इसका आधार स्थापित है? किसने इसका आधार रखा?
On what thing ben the foundementis therof maad fast? ether who sente doun the corner stoon therof,
7 जब निशांत तारा सहगान में एक साथ गा रहे थे तथा सभी स्वर्गदूत उल्लासनाद कर रहे थे, तब कहां थे तुम?
whanne the morew sterris herieden me togidere, and alle the sones of God sungun ioyfuli?
8 “अथवा किसने महासागर को द्वारों द्वारा सीमित किया, जब गर्भ से इसका उद्भव हो रहा था;
Who closide togidere the see with doris, whanne it brak out comynge forth as of the wombe?
9 जब मैंने इसके लिए मेघ परिधान निर्मित किया तथा घोर अंधकार को इसकी मेखला बना दिया,
Whanne Y settide a cloude the hilyng therof, and Y wlappide it with derknesse, as with clothis of yong childhed.
10 तथा मैंने इस पर सीमाएं चिन्हित कर दीं तथा ऐसे द्वार बना दिए, जिनमें चिटकनियां लगाई गईं;
Y cumpasside it with my termes, and Y settide a barre, and doris;
11 तथा मैंने यह आदेश दे दिया ‘तुम यहीं तक आ सकते हो, इसके आगे नहीं तथा यहां आकर तुम्हारी वे सशक्त वाली तरंगें रुक जाएंगी’?
and Y seide, `Til hidur thou schalt come, and thou schalt not go forth ferthere; and here thou schalt breke togidere thi bolnynge wawis.
12 “क्या तुमने अपने जीवन में प्रभात को यह आदेश दिया है, कि वह उपयुक्त क्षण पर ही अरुणोदय किया करे,
Whethir aftir thi birthe thou comaundist to the bigynnyng of dai, and schewidist to the morewtid his place?
13 कि यह पृथ्वी के हर एक छोर तक प्रकट करे, कि दुराचारी अपने-अपने छिपने के स्थान से हिला दिए जाएं?
Whethir thou heldist schakynge togidere the laste partis of erthe, and schakedist awei wickid men therfro?
14 गीली मिट्टी पर मोहर लगाने समान परिवर्तन जिसमें परिधान के सूक्ष्म भेद स्पष्ट हो जाते हैं.
A seeling schal be restorid as cley, and it schal stonde as a cloth.
15 सूर्य प्रकाश की उग्रता दुर्वृत्तों को दुराचार से रोके रहती है, मानो हिंसा के लिए उठी हुई उनकी भुजा तोड़ दी गई हो.
The liyt of wickid men schal be takun awey fro hem, and an hiy arm schal be brokun.
16 “अच्छा, यह बताओ, क्या तुमने जाकर महासागर के स्रोतों का निरीक्षण किया है अथवा सागर तल पर चलना फिरना किया है?
Whethir thou entridist in to the depthe of the see, and walkidist in the laste partis of the occian?
17 क्या तुमने घोर अंधकार में जाकर मृत्यु के द्वारों को देखा है?
Whether the yatis of deeth ben openyd to thee, and `siest thou the derk doris?
18 क्या तुम्हें ज़रा सा भी अनुमान है, कि पृथ्वी का विस्तार कितना है, मुझे बताओ, क्या-क्या मालूम है तुम्हें?
Whethir thou hast biholde the brede of erthe? Schewe thou to me, if thou knowist alle thingis,
19 “कहां है प्रकाश के घर का मार्ग? वैसे ही, कहां है अंधकार का आश्रय,
in what weie the liyt dwellith, and which is the place of derknesse;
20 कि तुम उन्हें यह तो सूचित कर सको, कि कहां है उनकी सीमा तथा तुम इसके घर का मार्ग पहचान सको?
that thou lede ech thing to hise termes, and thou vndurstonde the weies of his hows.
21 तुम्हें वास्तव में यह मालूम है, क्योंकि तब तुम्हारा जन्म हो चुका होगा! तब तो तुम्हारी आयु के वर्ष भी अनेक ही होंगे!
Wistist thou thanne, that thou schuldist be borun, and knew thou the noumbre of thi daies?
22 “क्या तुमने कभी हिम के भंडार में प्रवेश किया है, अथवा क्या तुमने कभी हिम के भण्डारगृह देखे हैं,
Whethir thou entridist in to the tresours of snow, ether biheldist thou the tresours of hail?
23 उन ओलों को जिन्हें मैंने पीड़ा के समय के लिए रखा हुआ है युद्ध तथा संघर्ष के दिनों के लिए?
whiche thingis Y made redy in to the tyme of an enemy, in to the dai of fiytyng and of batel.
24 क्या तुम्हें मालूम है कि प्रकाश का विभाजन कहां है, अथवा यह कि पृथ्वी पर पुरवाई कैसे बिखर जाती है?
Bi what weie is the liyt spred abrood, heete is departid on erthe?
25 क्या तुम्हें मालूम है कि बड़ी बरसात के लिए धारा की नहर किसने काटी है, अथवा बिजली की दिशा किसने निर्धारित की है,
Who yaf cours to the strongeste reyn,
26 कि रेगिस्तान प्रदेश में पानी बरसायें, उस बंजर भूमि जहां कोई नहीं रहता,
and weie of the thundur sownynge? That it schulde reyne on the erthe with out man in desert, where noon of deedli men dwellith?
27 कि उजड़े और बंजर भूमि की प्यास मिट जाए, तथा वहां घास के बीजों का अंकुरण हो जाए?
That it schulde fille a lond with out weie and desolat, and schulde brynge forth greene eerbis?
28 है कोई वृष्टि का जनक? अथवा कौन है ओस की बूंदों का उत्पादक?
Who is fadir of reyn, ether who gendride the dropis of deew?
29 किस गर्भ से हिम का प्रसव है? तथा आकाश का पाला कहां से जन्मा है?
Of whos wombe yede out iys, and who gendride frost fro heuene?
30 जल पत्थर के समान कठोर हो जाता है तथा इससे महासागर की सतह एक कारागार का रूप धारण कर लेती है.
Watris ben maad hard in the licnesse of stoon, and the ouer part of occian is streyned togidere.
31 “अय्योब, क्या तुम कृतिका नक्षत्र के समूह को परस्पर गूंथ सकते हो, अथवा मृगशीर्ष के बंधनों को खोल सकते हो?
Whether thou schalt mowe ioyne togidere schynynge sterris Pliades, ethir thou schalt mowe distrie the cumpas of Arturis?
32 क्या तुम किसी तारामंडल को उसके निर्धारित समय पर प्रकट कर सकते हो तथा क्या तुम सप्त ऋषि को दिशा-निर्देश दे सकते हो?
Whether thou bryngist forth Lucifer, `that is, dai sterre, in his tyme, and makist euene sterre to rise on the sones of erthe?
33 क्या तुम आकाशमंडल के अध्यादेशों को जानते हो, अथवा क्या तुम पृथ्वी पर भी वही अध्यादेश प्रभावी कर सकते हो?
Whether thou knowist the ordre of heuene, and schalt sette the resoun therof in erthe?
34 “क्या यह संभव है कि तुम अपना स्वर मेघों तक प्रक्षेपित कर दो, कि उनमें परिसीमित जल तुम्हारे लिए विपुल वृष्टि बन जाए?
Whethir thou schalt reise thi vois in to a cloude, and the fersnesse of watris schal hile thee?
35 क्या तुम बिजली को ऐसा आदेश दे सकते हो, कि वे उपस्थित हो तुमसे निवेदन करें, ‘क्या आज्ञा है, आप आदेश दें’?
Whethir thou schalt sende leitis, and tho schulen go, and tho schulen turne ayen, and schulen seie to thee, We ben present?
36 किसने बाज पक्षी में ऐसा ज्ञान स्थापित किया है, अथवा किसने मुर्गे को पूर्व ज्ञान की क्षमता प्रदान की है?
Who puttide wisdoom in the entrailis of man, ethir who yaf vndurstondyng to the cok?
37 कौन है वह, जिसमें ऐसा ज्ञान है, कि वह मेघों की गणना कर लेता है? अथवा कौन है वह, जो आकाश के पानी के मटकों को झुका सकता है,
Who schal telle out the resoun of heuenes, and who schal make acordyng of heuene to sleep?
38 जब धूल मिट्टी का ढेला बनकर कठोर हो जाती है, तथा ये ढेले भी एक दूसरे से मिल जाते हैं?
Whanne dust was foundid in the erthe, and clottis weren ioyned togidere?
39 “अय्योब, क्या तुम सिंहनी के लिए शिकार करते हो, शेरों की भूख को मिटाते हो
Whether thou schalt take prey to the lionesse, and schalt fille the soulis of hir whelpis,
40 जो अपनी कन्दरा में दुबकी बैठी है, अथवा जो झाड़ियों में घात लगाए बैठी है?
whanne tho liggen in caues, and aspien in dennes?
41 कौवों को पौष्टिक आहार कौन परोसता है, जब इसके बच्चे परमेश्वर को पुकारते हैं, तथा अपना भोजन खोजते हुए भटकते रहते हैं?
Who makith redi for the crowe his mete, whanne hise briddis crien to God, and wandren aboute, for tho han not meetis?
