अय्यूब 3
1 उसके बाद अय्योब ने अपना मुंह खोला और अपने जन्मदिवस को धिक्कारा.

2 उनका वचन था:
and to answer Job and to say
3 “जिस दिन मेरा जन्म होना निर्धारित था, वही दिन मिट जाए तथा वह रात्रि, जब यह घोषणा की गयी कि एक बालक का गर्भधारण हुआ है!
to perish day to beget in/on/with him and [the] night to say to conceive great man
4 अंधकारमय हो वह दिन; स्वर्गिक परमेश्वर उसका ध्यान ही न रखें; किसी भी ज्योति का प्रकाश उस पर न पड़े.
[the] day [the] he/she/it to be darkness not to seek him god from above and not to shine upon him light
5 अंधकार तथा मृत्यु के बादल बने रहें; उस पर एक बादल आ जाए; दिन का अंधकार उसको डराने का कारण हो जाए.
to redeem: redeem him darkness and shadow to dwell upon him cloud to terrify him darkness day
6 उस रात्रि को भी अंधकार अपने वश में कर ले; वर्ष के दिनों में, यह दिन आनन्दमय न समझा जाए; माहों में उस दिन की गणना न की जाए.

7 ओह, वह रात्रि बांझ हो जाए; कोई भी आनंद ध्वनि उसे सुनाई न दे.
behold [the] night [the] he/she/it to be solitary not to come (in): come triumphing in/on/with him
8 वे, जो दिनों को धिक्कारते रहते हैं तथा लिवयाथान को उकसाने के लिए तत्पर रहते हैं, वे इसे भी धिक्कारें.
to curse him to curse day [the] ready to rouse Leviathan
9 इसके संध्या के तारे काले हो जाएं; इसका उजियाला नष्ट हो जाए, इसके लिए प्रभात ही मिट जाए;
to darken star twilight his to await to/for light and nothing and not to see: see in/on/with eyelid dawn
10 क्योंकि यही वह दिन था, जिसने मेरी माता के प्रसव को रोका नहीं, और न ही इसने विपत्ति को मेरी दृष्टि से छिपाया.
for not to shut door belly: womb my and to hide trouble from eye my
11 “जन्म होते ही मेरी मृत्यु क्यों न हो गई, क्यों नहीं गर्भ से निकलते ही मेरा प्राण चला गया?
to/for what? not from womb to die from belly: womb to come out: produce and to die
12 क्यों उन घुटनों ने मुझे थाम लिया तथा मेरे दुग्धपान के लिए वे स्तन तत्पर क्यों थे?
why? to meet me knee and what? breast for to suckle
13 यदि ऐसा न होता तो आज मैं शांति से पड़ा हुआ होता; मैं निद्रा में विश्रान्ति कर रहा होता,
for now to lie down: lay down and to quiet to sleep then to rest to/for me
14 मेरे साथ होते संसार के राजा एवं मंत्री, जिन्होंने अपने ही लिए सुनसान स्थान को पुनर्निर्माण किया था.
with king and to advise land: country/planet [the] to build desolation to/for them
15 अथवा वे शासक, जो स्वर्ण धारण किए हुए थे, जिन्होंने चांदी से अपने कोष भर लिए थे.
or with ruler gold to/for them [the] to fill house: home their silver: money
16 अथवा उस मृत भ्रूण के समान, उस शिशु-समान, जिसने प्रकाश का अनुभव ही नहीं किया, मेरी भी स्थिति वैसी होती.
or like/as miscarriage to hide not to be like/as infant not to see: see light
17 उस स्थान पर तो दुष्ट लोग भी दुःख देना छोड़ देते हैं तथा थके मांदे विश्रान्ति के लिए कब्र में जा पहुंचते हैं,
there wicked to cease turmoil and there to rest weary strength
18 वहां एकत्र बंदी भी एक साथ सुख से रहते हैं; वहां उनके पहरेदारों की आवाज वे नहीं सुनते.
unitedness prisoner to rest not to hear: hear voice to oppress
19 वहां सामान्य भी हैं और विशिष्ट भी, वहां दास अपने स्वामी से स्वतंत्र हो चुका है.
small and great: large there he/she/it and servant/slave free from lord his
20 “जो पीड़ा में पड़ा हुआ है, उसे प्रकाश का क्या लाभ, तथा उसको जीवन क्यों देना है, जिसकी आत्मा कड़वाहट से भर चुकी हो,
to/for what? to give: give to/for labour(er) light and life to/for bitter soul
21 वह जिसकी मनोकामना मृत्यु की है, किंतु मृत्यु उससे दूर-दूर रहती है, वह मृत्यु को इस यत्न से खोज रहा है, मानो वह एक खजाना है.
[the] to wait to/for death and nothing he and to search him from treasure
22 भला किसे, किसी कब्र को देख आनंद होता है?
[the] glad to(wards) rejoicing to rejoice for to find grave
23 उस व्यक्ति को प्रकाश प्रदान करने का क्या लाभ, जिसके सामने कोई मार्ग नहीं है, जिसे परमेश्वर द्वारा सीमित कर दिया गया है?
to/for great man which way: journey his to hide and to fence god about/through/for him
24 भोजन को देखने से ही मेरी कराहट का प्रारंभ होता है; तथा जल समान बहता है मेरा विलाप.
for to/for face: before food: bread my sighing my to come (in): come and to pour like/as water roaring my
25 जो कुछ मेरे सामने भय का विषय थे; उन्हीं ने मुझे घेर रखा है, जो मेरे सामने भयावह था, वही मुझ पर आ पड़ा है.
for dread to dread and to come me and which to fear to come (in): come to/for me
26 मैं सुख स्थिति में नहीं हूं, मैं निश्चिंत नहीं हूं; मुझमें विश्रान्ति नहीं है, परंतु खलबली समाई है.”
not to prosper and not to quiet and not to rest and to come (in): come turmoil
