अय्यूब 18
1 इसके बाद शूही बिलदद ने अपनी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त की:
Then Bildad the Shuhite spoke up and said,
2 “कब तक तुम इसी प्रकार शब्दों में उलझे रहोगे? कुछ सार्थक विषय प्रस्तुत करो, कि कुछ परिणाम प्रकट हो सके.
“How long will you go on talking, hunting for the right words to say? Talk sense if you want us to reply!
3 हमें पशु क्यों समझा जा रहा है? क्या हम तुम्हारी दृष्टि में मूर्ख हैं?
Do you think we're dumb animals? Do we look stupid to you?
4 तुम, जो क्रोध में स्वयं को फाड़े जा रहे हो, क्या, तुम्हारे हित में तो पृथ्वी अब उजड़ हो जानी चाहिए? अथवा, क्या चट्टान को अपनी जगह से अलग किया जाये?
You tear yourself apart with your anger. Do you think the earth has to be abandoned, or the mountains moved, just because of you?
5 “सत्य तो यह है कि दुर्वृत्त का दीप वस्तुतः बुझ चुका है; उसके द्वारा प्रज्वलित अग्निशिखा में तो प्रकाश ही नहीं है.
It's certain that the life of the wicked will end like a lamp that is snuffed out—their flame will shine no more.
6 उसका तंबू अंधकार में है; उसके ऊपर का दीपक बुझ गया है.
The light in their home goes out, the lamp hanging above is extinguished.
7 उसकी द्रुत चाल को रोक दिया गया है; तथा उसकी अपनी युक्ति उसे ले डूबी,
Instead of taking strong strides they stumble, and their own plans cause them to fall.
8 क्योंकि वह तो अपने जाल में जा फंसा है; उसने अपने ही फंदे में पैर डाल दिया है.
Their own feet trip them up and they are caught in a net; as they walk along they fall into a pit.
9 उसकी एड़ी पर वह फंदा जा पड़ा तथा संपूर्ण उपकरण उसी पर आ गिरा है,
A trap grabs them by the heel; a snare tightens around them.
10 भूमि के नीचे उसके लिए वह गांठ छिपाई गई थी; उसके रास्ते में एक फंदा रखा गया था.
A noose is hidden on the ground for them; a rope is stretched across the path to trip them.
11 अब तो आतंक ने उसे चारों ओर से घेर रखा है तथा उसके पीछे पड़कर उसे सता रहे हैं.
Terrors scare the wicked, coming at them from every side, chasing them, biting at their heels.
12 उसके बल का ठट्ठा हुआ जा रहा है; विपत्ति उसके निकट ठहरी हुई है.
Hunger robs them of strength; disaster waits for them when they fall.
13 उसकी खाल पर घोर व्याधि लगी हुई है; उसके अंगों को मृत्यु के पहलौठे ने खाना बना लिया है.
Disease devours their skin; deadly disease consumes their limbs.
14 उसके ही तंबू की सुरक्षा में से उसे झपट लिया गया है अब वे उसे आतंक के राजा के सामने प्रदर्शित हो रहे हैं.
They are torn from the homes they trusted in and taken to the king of terrors.
15 अब उसके तंबू में विदेशी जा बसे हैं; उसके घर पर गंधक छिड़क दिया गया है.
People they don't know will live in their homes; sulfur will be scattered where they used to live.
16 भूमि के भीतर उसकी जड़ें अब शुष्क हो चुकी हैं तथा ऊपर उनकी शाखाएं काटी जा चुकी हैं.
They wither away, roots below and branches above;
17 धरती के लोग उसको याद नहीं करेंगे; बस अब कोई भी उसको याद नहीं करेगा.
the memory of them fades from the earth; nobody remembers their names any more.
18 उसे तो प्रकाश में से अंधकार में धकेल दिया गया है तथा मनुष्यों के समाज से उसे खदेड़ दिया गया है.
They are thrown out of light into darkness, driven from the world.
19 मनुष्यों के मध्य उसका कोई वंशज नहीं रह गया है, जहां-जहां वह प्रवास करता है, वहां उसका कोई उत्तरजीवी नहीं.
They have no children or descendants among their people, and no survivors where they used to live.
20 पश्चिमी क्षेत्रों में उसकी स्थिति पर लोग चकित होंगे तथा पूर्वी क्षेत्रों में भय ने लोगों को जकड़ लिया है.
People of the west are appalled at what happens to them. People of the east are shocked.
21 निश्चयतः दुर्वृत्तों का निवास ऐसा ही होता है; उनका निवास, जिन्हें परमेश्वर का कोई ज्ञान नहीं है.”
This is what happens to the homes of the wicked, to the places of those who reject God.”
