अय्यूब 17
1 मेरा मनोबल टूट चुका है, मेरे जीवन की ज्योति का अंत आ चुका है, कब्र को मेरी प्रतीक्षा है.
My breath is corrupt: my dayes are cut off, and the graue is readie for me.
2 इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं, ठट्ठा करनेवाले मेरे साथ हो चुके हैं; मेरी दृष्टि उनके भड़काने वाले कार्यों पर टिकी हुई है.
There are none but mockers with mee, and mine eye continueth in their bitternesse.
3 “परमेश्वर, मुझे वह ज़मानत दे दीजिए, जो आपकी मांग है. कौन है वह, जो मेरा जामिन हो सकेगा?
Lay downe nowe and put me in suretie for thee: who is hee, that will touch mine hand?
4 आपने तो उनकी समझ को बाधित कर रखा है; इसलिए आप तो उन्हें जयवंत होने नहीं देंगे.
For thou hast hid their heart from vnderstanding: therefore shalt thou not set them vp on hie.
5 जो लूट में अपने अंश के लिए अपने मित्रों की चुगली करता है, उसकी संतान की दृष्टि जाती रहेगी.
For the eyes of his children shall faile, that speaketh flattery to his friends.
6 “परमेश्वर ने तो मुझे एक निंदनीय बना दिया है, मैं तो अब वह हो चुका हूं, जिस पर लोग थूकते हैं.
Hee hath also made mee a byword of the people, and I am as a Tabret before them.
7 शोक से मेरी दृष्टि क्षीण हो चुकी है; मेरे समस्त अंग अब छाया-समान हो चुके हैं.
Mine eye therefore is dimme for griefe, and all my strength is like a shadowe.
8 यह सब देख सज्जन चुप रह जाएंगे; तथा निर्दोष मिलकर दुर्वृत्तों के विरुद्ध हो जाएंगे.
The righteous shalbe astonied at this, and the innocent shalbe moued against ye hypocrite.
9 फिर भी खरा अपनी नीतियों पर अटल बना रहेगा, तथा वे, जो सत्यनिष्ठ हैं, बलवंत होते चले जाएंगे.
But the righteous wil holde his way, and he whose hands are pure, shall increase his strength.
10 “किंतु आओ, तुम सभी आओ, एक बार फिर चेष्टा कर लो! तुम्हारे मध्य मुझे बुद्धिमान प्राप्त नहीं होगा.
All you therefore turne you, and come nowe, and I shall not finde one wise among you.
11 मेरे दिनों का तो अंत हो चुका है, मेरी योजनाएं चूर-चूर हो चुकी हैं. यही स्थिति है मेरे हृदय की अभिलाषाओं की.
My dayes are past, mine enterprises are broken, and the thoughts of mine heart
12 वे तो रात्रि को भी दिन में बदल देते हैं, वे कहते हैं, ‘प्रकाश निकट है,’ जबकि वे अंधकार में होते हैं.
Haue changed the nyght for the day, and the light that approched, for darkenesse.
Though I hope, yet the graue shall bee mine house, and I shall make my bed in the darke. (Sheol h7585)
14 यदि मैं उस कब्र को पुकारकर कहूं, ‘मेरे जनक तो तुम हो और कीड़ों से कि तुम मेरी माता या मेरी बहिन हो,’
I shall say to corruption, Thou art my father, and to the worme, Thou art my mother and my sister.
15 तो मेरी आशा कहां है? किसे मेरी आशा का ध्यान है?
Where is then now mine hope? or who shall consider the thing, that I hoped for?
