अय्यूब 13
1 “सुनो, मेरे नेत्र यह सब देख चुके हैं, मेरे कानों ने, यह सब सुन लिया है तथा मैंने इसे समझ लिया है.
Behold, mine eye has seen these things, and mine ear has heard [them].
2 जो कुछ तुम्हें मालूम है, वह सब मुझे मालूम है; मैं तुमसे किसी भी रीति से कम नहीं हूं,
And I know all that ye too know; and I have not less understanding than you.
3 हां, मैं इसका उल्लेख सर्वशक्तिमान से अवश्य करूंगा, मेरी अभिलाषा है कि इस विषय में परमेश्वर से वाद-विवाद करूं.
Nevertheless I will speak to the Lord, and I will reason before him, if he will.
4 तुम तो झूठी बात का चित्रण कर रहे हो; तुम सभी अयोग्य वैद्य हो!
But ye are all bad physicians, and healers of diseases.
5 उत्तम तो यह होता कि तुम चुप रहते! इसी में सिद्ध हो जाती तुम्हारी बुद्धिमानी.
But would that ye were silent, and it would be wisdom to you in the end.
6 कृपा कर मेरे विवाद पर ध्यान दो; तथा मेरे होंठों की बहस की बातों पर ध्यान करो.
But hear ye the reasoning of my mouth, and attend to the judgment of my lips.
7 क्या तुम वह बात करोगे, जो परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में अन्यायपूर्ण है? अथवा वह कहोगे, जो उनकी दृष्टि में छलपूर्ण है?
Do ye not speak before the Lord, and utter deceit before him?
8 क्या तुम परमेश्वर के लिए पक्षपात करोगे? क्या तुम परमेश्वर से वाद-विवाद करोगे?
Or will ye draw back? nay do, ye yourselves be judges.
9 क्या जब तुम्हारी परख की जाएगी, तो यह तुम्हारे हित में होगा? अथवा तुम मनुष्यों के समान परमेश्वर से छल करने का यत्न करने लगोगे?
For [it were] well if he would thoroughly search you: for though doing all things [in your power] ye should attach yourselves to him,
10 यदि तुम गुप्त में पक्षपात करोगे, तुम्हें उनकी ओर से फटकार ही प्राप्त होगी.
he will not reprove you at all the less: but if moreover ye should secretly respect persons,
11 क्या परमेश्वर का माहात्म्य तुम्हें भयभीत न कर देगा? क्या उनका आतंक तुम्हें भयभीत न कर देगा?
shall not his whirlpool sweep you round, and terror from him fall upon you?
12 तुम्हारी उक्तियां राख के नीतिवचन के समान हैं; तुम्हारी प्रतिरक्षा मिट्टी समान रह गई है.
And your glorying shall prove in the end to you like ashes, and your body [like a body] of clay.
13 “मेरे सामने चुप रहो, कि मैं अपने विचार प्रस्तुत कर सकूं; तब चाहे कैसी भी समस्या आ पड़े.
Be silent, that I may speak, and cease from [mine] anger,
14 भला मैं स्वयं को जोखिम में क्यों डालूं तथा अपने प्राण हथेली पर लेकर घुमूं?
while I may take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand.
15 चाहे परमेश्वर मेरा घात भी करें, फिर भी उनमें मेरी आशा बनी रहेगी; परमेश्वर के सामने मैं अपना पक्ष प्रस्तुत करूंगा.
Though the Mighty One should lay hand upon me, forasmuch as he has begun, verily I will speak, and plead before him.
16 यही मेरी छुटकारे का कारण होगा, क्योंकि कोई बुरा व्यक्ति उनकी उपस्थिति में प्रवेश करना न चाहेगा!
And this shall turn to me for salvation; for fraud shall have no entrance before him.
17 बड़ी सावधानीपूर्वक मेरा वक्तव्य सुन लो; तथा मेरी घोषणा को मन में बसा लो.
Hear, hear ye my words, for I will declare in your hearing.
18 अब सुन लो, प्रस्तुति के लिए मेरा पक्ष तैयार है, मुझे निश्चय है मुझे न्याय प्राप्त होकर रहेगा.
Behold, I am near my judgment: I know that I shall appear evidently just.
19 कौन करेगा मुझसे वाद-विवाद? यदि कोई मुझे दोषी प्रमाणित कर दे, मैं चुप होकर प्राण त्याग दूंगा.
For who is he that shall plead with me, that I should now be silent, and expire?
20 “परमेश्वर, मेरी दो याचनाएं पूर्ण कर दीजिए, तब मैं आपसे छिपने का प्रयास नहीं करूंगा.
But grant me two things: then I will not hide myself from thy face.
21 मुझ पर से अपना कठोर हाथ दूर कर लीजिए, तथा अपने आतंक मुझसे दूर कर लीजिए.
Withhold [thine] hand from me: and let not thy fear terrify me.
22 तब मुझे बुला लीजिए कि मैं प्रश्नों के उत्तर दे सकूं, अथवा मुझे बोलने दीजिए, और इन पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त कीजिए.
Then shalt thou call, and I will hearken to thee: or thou shalt speak, and I will give thee an answer.
23 कितने हैं मेरे पाप एवं अपराध? प्रकट कर दीजिए, मेरा अपराध एवं मेरा पाप.
How many are my sins and my transgressions? teach me what they are.
24 आप मुझसे अपना मुख क्यों छिपा रहे हैं? आपने मुझे अपना शत्रु क्यों मान लिया है?
Wherefore hidest thou thyself from me, and deemest me thine enemy?
25 क्या आप एक वायु प्रवाह में उड़ती हुई पत्ती को यातना देंगे? क्या आप सूखी भूसी का पीछा करेंगे?
Wilt thou be startled [at me], as [at] a leaf shaken by the wind? or wilt thou set thyself against me as against grass borne upon the breeze?
26 आपने मेरे विरुद्ध कड़वे आरोपों की सूची बनाई है तथा आपने मेरी युवावस्था के पापों को मुझ पर लाद दिया है.
for thou hast written evil things against me, and thou hast compassed me with the sins of my youth.
27 आपने मेरे पांवों में बेड़ियां डाल दी है; आप मेरे मार्गों पर दृष्टि रखते हैं. इसके लिए आपने मेरे पांवों के तलवों को चिन्हित कर दिया है.
And thou hast placed my foot in the stocks; and thou hast watched all my works, and hast penetrated my heels.
28 “तब मनुष्य किसी सड़ी-गली वस्तु के समान नष्ट होता जाता है, उस वस्त्र के समान, जिसे कीड़े खा चुके हों.
[I am as] that which waxes old like a bottle, or like a moth-eaten garment.
