यिर्मयाह 51

1 यह याहवेह की वाणी है: “यह देखना मैं बाबेल के विरुद्ध तथा लेब-कोमाई के निवासियों के विरुद्ध एक विनाशक बवंडर उत्पन्‍न करने पर हूं.

2 मैं विदेशियों को बाबेल की ओर भेजूंगा, कि वे उसको सुनसान करें तथा उस देश को ध्वस्त कर दें; चारों ओर से वे उसका विरोध करेंगे यह उसके विनाश का दिन होगा.

6 “बाबेल के मध्य से पलायन करो! तुममें से हर एक अपना प्राण बचा ले! उसे दिए जा रहे दंड में तुम नष्ट न हो जाना. क्योंकि यह याहवेह के बदला लेने का अवसर होगा; वह उसे वही देंगे, जो उसे दिया जाना उपयुक्त है.

23 तुमसे मैं चरवाहे एवं भेड़-बकरियों को नष्ट करता हूं, तुमसे ही मैं किसान एवं उसके सहायकों को नष्ट करता हूं, तथा तुमसे ही मैं राज्यपालों एवं सेनापतियों को नष्ट करता हूं.

27 “सारे देश में चेतावनी का झंडा ऊंचा किया जाए! राष्ट्रों में नरसिंगा नाद किया जाए! राष्ट्रों को उसके विरुद्ध युद्ध के लिए नियुक्त करो; उसके विरुद्ध अरारात, मिन्‍नी तथा अश्केनाज राज्य एकत्र किए जाएं. घोड़ों को टिड्डी दल सदृश ले आओ; तथा उसके लिए सेनापति भी नियुक्त करो.

44 मैं बाबेल में ही बेल को दंड दूंगा, मैं उसके मुख से वही उगलवाऊंगा, जो उसने निगल लिया था. तब जनता उसकी ओर आकर्षित होना ही छोड़ देंगे. अब तो बाबेल की शहरपनाह भी ढह चुकी है.

46 तुम्हारा हृदय मूर्छित न होने लगे तथा सारे देश में प्रसारित होते समाचार से तुम भयभीत न हो जाओ; क्योंकि एक समाचार इस वर्ष आएगा, तत्पश्चात अन्य समाचार अगले वर्ष, सारे देश में हिंसा भड़क रही होगी, उच्चाधिकारी ही उच्चाधिकारी के विरुद्ध हो जाएगा.

59 नेरियाह के पुत्र माहसेइयाह के पौत्र सेराइयाह को दिया गया भविष्यद्वक्ता येरेमियाह का आदेश यह है, यह उसे उस अवसर पर भेजा गया, जब वह यहूदिया के राजा सीदकियाहू के राज्य-काल के चौथे वर्ष में राजा के साथ बाबेल गया था, सेराइयाह वहां महलों का प्रबंधक था.

60 येरेमियाह ने एक चर्म कुण्डलिका में उन सारे संकटों की एक सूची बना दी जो बाबेल के लिए निर्धारित किए गए थे, अर्थात् वे सभी भविष्यवाणी, जो बाबेल के विषय में की गई थी.

and to write Jeremiah [obj] all [the] distress: harm which to come (in): come to(wards) Babylon to(wards) scroll: book one [obj] all [the] word [the] these [the] to write to(wards) Babylon

61 तत्पश्चात येरेमियाह ने सेराइयाह को संबोधित कर कहा, “यह ध्यान रखना कि बाबेल पहुंचते ही तुम यह सब उच्च स्वर में सबके समक्ष पढ़ोगे.

and to say Jeremiah to(wards) Seraiah like/as to come (in): come you Babylon and to see: see and to call: read out [obj] all [the] word [the] these

62 फिर तुम यह भी कहना, ‘याहवेह ने इस स्थान के विषय में भविष्यवाणी की है, कि यह स्थान नष्ट कर दिया जाएगा, इस प्रकार कि इस स्थान पर कोई भी निवासी शेष न रह जाएगा; चाहे मनुष्य हो अथवा पशु और यह स्थायी उजाड़ हो जाएगा.’

and to say LORD you(m. s.) to speak: speak to(wards) [the] place [the] this to/for to cut: eliminate him to/for lest to be in/on/with him to dwell to/for from man and till animal for devastation forever: enduring to be

63 जैसे ही तुम इस चर्म कुण्डली को पढ़ना समाप्‍त करोगे, तुम एक पत्थर इसमें बांध देना और इसे फरात नदी के मध्य में फेंक देना.

and to be like/as to end: finish you to/for to call: read out [obj] [the] scroll: book [the] this to conspire upon him stone and to throw him to(wards) midst Euphrates

64 उसे फेंकते हुए तुम यह कहना, ‘बाबेल इसी प्रकार डूब जाएगा और फिर कभी उठकर ऊपर न आएगा, क्योंकि मैं उस पर ऐसा संकट डालने पर हूं. और उसके लोग गिर जाएंगे.’” येरेमियाह के शब्द यहीं तक हैं.

and to say thus to sink Babylon and not to arise: rise from face: because [the] distress: harm which I to come (in): bring upon her and to faint till here/thus word Jeremiah
