यशायाह 50
1 याहवेह यों कहता है: “कहां है वह तलाक पत्र जो मैंने तुम्हारी माता से अलग होने पर दिया था या किसी व्यापारी को बेचा था? देखो तुम्हारे ही अधर्म के कारण तुम बेचे गये? और तुम्हारे ही पापों के कारण; तुम दूर किए गये.
Thus saith Jehovah, Where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement, wherewith I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were ye sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.
2 मेरे यहां पहुंचने पर, यहां कोई पुरुष क्यों न था? मेरे पुकारने पर, जवाब देने के लिये यहां कोई क्यों न था? क्या मेरा हाथ ऐसा कमजोर हो गया कि छुड़ा नहीं सकता? या मुझमें उद्धार करने की शक्ति नहीं? देखो, मैं अपनी डांट से ही सागर को सूखा देता हूं, और नदियों को मरुस्थल में बदल देता हूं; जल न होने के कारण वहां की मछलियां मर जाती हैं और बदबू आने लगती है.
Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
3 मैं ही आकाश को दुःख का काला कपड़ा पहना देता हूं ओर टाट को उनका आवरण बना देता हूं.”
I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
4 परमेश्वर याहवेह ने मुझे सिखाने वालों की जीभ दी है, ताकि मैं थके हुओं को अपने शब्दों से संभाल सकूं. सुबह वह मुझे जगाता है, और मेरे कान खोलता है कि मैं शिष्य के समान सुनूं.
The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.
5 वह जो प्रभु याहवेह हैं, उन्होंने मेरे कान खोल दिए हैं; मैंने न तो विरोध किया, और न पीछे हटा.
The Lord Jehovah hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
6 मैंने विरोधियों को अपनी पीठ दिखा दी, तथा अपने गाल उनके सामने किए, कि वे मेरी दाढ़ी के बाल नोच लें; मैंने अपने मुंह को थूकने तथा मुझे लज्जित करने से बचने के लिये नहीं छिपाया.
I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 क्योंकि वह, जो प्रभु याहवेह हैं, मेरी सहायता करते हैं, तब मुझे लज्जित नहीं होना पड़ा. और मैंने अपना मुंह चमका लिया है, और मैं जानता हूं कि मुझे लज्जित होना नहीं पड़ेगा.
For the Lord Jehovah will help me; therefore have I not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.
8 मेरे निकट वह है, जो मुझे निर्दोष साबित करता है. कौन मुझसे लड़ेगा? चलो, हम आमने-सामने खड़े होंगे! कौन मुझ पर दोष लगाएगा? वह मेरे सामने आए!
He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand up together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9 सुनो, वह जो प्रभु याहवेह हैं, मेरी सहायता करते हैं. कौन मुझे दंड की आज्ञा देगा? देखो, वे सभी वस्त्र समान पुराने हो जाएंगे; उन्हें कीड़े खा जाएंगे.
Behold, the Lord Jehovah will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? behold, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
10 तुम्हारे बीच ऐसा कौन है जो याहवेह का भय मानता है, जो उनके सेवक की बातों को मानता है? जो अंधकार में चलता है, जिसके पास रोशनी नहीं, वह याहवेह पर भरोसा रखे तथा अपने परमेश्वर पर आशा लगाये रहे.
Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.
11 तुम सभी, जो आग जलाते और अपने आस-पास आग का तीर रखे हुए हो, तुम अपने द्वारा जलाई हुई आग में जलते रहो, जो तुमने जला रखे हैं. मेरी ओर से यही होगा: तुम यातना में पड़े रहोगे.
Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that gird yourselves about with firebrands; walk ye in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of my hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
