यशायाह 44
1 “परंतु अब हे मेरे दास याकोब, हे मेरे चुने हुए इस्राएल, सुन लो.
Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
2 याहवेह, जो तुम्हारे सहायक हैं, जिन्होंने गर्भ में ही तुम्हारी रचना कर दी थी, वे यों कहते हैं: हे मेरे दास याकोब, हे मेरे चुने हुए यशुरून मत डर, तुम भी, जो मेरे मनोनीत हो.
Thus says the LORD that made you, and formed you from the womb, which will help you; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and you, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
3 क्योंकि मैं प्यासी भूमि पर जल, तथा सूखी भूमि पर नदियां बहाऊंगा; मैं अपना आत्मा तथा अपनी आशीषें, तुम्हारी संतान पर उंडेल दूंगा.
For I will pour water on him that is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground: I will pour my spirit on your seed, and my blessing on your offspring:
4 वे घास के बीच अंकुरित होने लगेंगे, और बहती जलधारा के किनारे लगाए गए वृक्ष के समान होंगे.
And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
5 कोई कहेगा, ‘मैं तो याहवेह का हूं’; और याकोब के नाम की दोहाई देगा; और कोई अपनी हथेली पर, ‘मैं याहवेह का’ लिख लेगा, वह इस्राएल का नाम अपना लेगा.
One shall say, I am the LORD’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand to the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
6 “वह जो याहवेह हैं, सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह इस्राएल के राजा, अर्थात् उसको छुड़ाने वाला है: वह यों कहता है, मैं ही पहला हूं और मैं ही अंत तक रहूंगा; मेरे सिवाय कोई और परमेश्वर है ही नहीं.
Thus says the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
7 मेरे समान है कौन? जब से मैंने मनुष्यों को ठहराया तब से किसने मेरे समान प्रचार किया? या वह बताये, मेरी बातों को पहले ही से प्रकट करें.
And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show to them.
8 तुम डरो मत, क्या मैंने बहुत पहले बता न दिया था. क्या मैंने उसकी घोषणा न कर दी थी? याद रखो, तुम मेरे गवाह हो. क्या मेरे सिवाय कोई और परमेश्वर है? या क्या कोई और चट्टान है? नहीं, मैं किसी और को नहीं जानता.”
Fear you not, neither be afraid: have not I told you from that time, and have declared it? you are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yes, there is no God; I know not any.
9 वे सभी जो मूर्तियां बनाते हैं वे व्यर्थ हैं, उनसे कोई लाभ नहीं. उनके साक्षी न कुछ देखते न कुछ जानते हैं; उन्हें लज्जित होना पड़ेगा.
They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
10 कौन है ऐसा निर्बुद्धि जिसने ऐसे देवता की रचना की या ऐसी मूर्ति बनाई, जो निर्जीव और निष्फल है?
Who has formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
11 देख उसके सभी साथियों को लज्जा का सामना करना पड़ेगा; क्योंकि शिल्पकार स्वयं मनुष्य है. अच्छा होगा कि वे सभी एक साथ खड़े हो जाएं तो डर जाएंगे; वे सभी एक साथ लज्जित किए जाएं.
Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
12 लोहार लोहे को अंगारों से गर्म करके हथौड़ों से मारकर कोई रूप देता है; अपने हाथों के बल से उस मूर्ति को बनाता है, फिर वह भूखा हो जाता है, उसकी ताकत कम हो जाती है; वह थक जाता है, वह पानी नहीं पीता और कमजोर होने लगता है.
The smith with the tongs both works in the coals, and fashions it with hammers, and works it with the strength of his arms: yes, he is hungry, and his strength fails: he drinks no water, and is faint.
13 एक और शिल्पकार वह काठ को रूप देता है वह माप का प्रयोग करके काठ पर निशान लगाता है; वह काठ पर रन्दे चलाता है तथा परकार से रेखा खींचता है, तथा उसे एक सुंदर व्यक्ति का रूप देता है.
The carpenter stretches out his rule; he marks it out with a line; he fits it with planes, and he marks it out with the compass, and makes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
14 वह देवदार वृक्षों को अपने लिए काटता है, वह जंगलों से सनौवर तथा बांज को भी बढ़ाता है. वह देवदार पौधा उगाता है, और बारिश उसे बढ़ाती है.
He hews him down cedars, and takes the cypress and the oak, which he strengthens for himself among the trees of the forest: he plants an ash, and the rain does nourish it.
15 फिर इसे मनुष्य आग जलाने के लिए काम में लेता है; आग से वह अपने लिए रोटी भी बनाता है, और उसी से वह अपने लिए एक देवता भी गढ़ लेता है. वह इसके काठ को गढ़ते हुए उसे मूर्ति का रूप देता है; और फिर इसी के समक्ष दंडवत भी करता है.
Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yes, he kindles it, and bakes bread; yes, he makes a god, and worships it; he makes it a graven image, and falls down thereto.
16 इसका आधा तो जला देता है; जिस आधे पर उसने अपना भोजन बनाया, मांस को पकाता, जिससे उसकी भूख मिटाये. “इसी आग से उसने अपने लिए गर्मी भी पायी.”
He burns part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eats flesh; he roasts roast, and is satisfied: yes, he warms himself, and says, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
17 बचे हुए काठ से वह एक देवता का निर्माण कर लेता है, उस देवता की गढ़ी गई मूर्ति; वह इसी के समक्ष दंडवत करता है. और प्रार्थना करके कहता है, “मेरी रक्षा कीजिए! आप तो मेरे देवता हैं!”
And the residue thereof he makes a god, even his graven image: he falls down to it, and worships it, and prays to it, and says, Deliver me; for you are my god.
18 वे न तो कुछ जानते हैं और न ही कुछ समझते हैं; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने उनकी आंखों को अंधा कर दिया है, तथा उनके हृदय से समझने की शक्ति छीन ली है.
They have not known nor understood: for he has shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
19 उनमें से किसी को भी यह बात उदास नहीं करती, न कोई समझता है, “मैंने आधे वृक्ष को तो जला दिया है; उसी के कोयलों पर मैंने भोजन तैयार किया, अपना मांस को भूंजता, अब उसके बचे हुए से गलत काम किया.”
And none considers in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yes, also I have baked bread on the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
20 उसने तो राख को अपना भोजन बना लिया है; उसे एक ऐसे दिल ने बहका दिया है, जो स्वयं भटक चुका है; स्वयं को तो वह मुक्त कर नहीं सकता, “जो वस्तु मैंने अपने दाएं हाथ में पकड़ रखी है, क्या वह सच नहीं?”
He feeds on ashes: a deceived heart has turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
21 “हे याकोब, हे इस्राएल, इन सब बातों को याद कर, क्योंकि तुम तो मेरे सेवक हो. मैंने तुम्हारी रचना की है; हे इस्राएल, यह हो नहीं सकता कि मैं तुम्हें भूल जाऊं.
Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: O Israel, you shall not be forgotten of me.
22 तुम्हारे अपराधों को मैंने मिटा दिया है जैसे आकाश से बादल, तथा तुम्हारे पापों को गहरे कोहरे के समान दूर कर दिया है. तुम मेरे पास आ जाओ, क्योंकि मैंने तुम्हें छुड़ा लिया है.”
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you.
23 हे आकाश, आनंदित हो, क्योंकि याहवेह ने यह कर दिखाया है; हे अधोलोक के पाताल भी खुश हो. हे पहाड़ों, आनंद से गाओ, क्योंकि याहवेह ने याकोब को छुड़ा लिया है, तथा इस्राएल में उन्होंने अपनी महिमा प्रकट की है.
Sing, O you heavens; for the LORD has done it: shout, you lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
24 “याहवेह तुम्हें उद्धार देनेवाले हैं, जिन्होंने गर्भ में ही तुम्हें रूप दिया था, वह यों कहता है: “मैं ही वह याहवेह हूं, सबको बनानेवाला, मैंने आकाश को बनाया, तथा मैंने ही पृथ्वी को अपनी शक्ति से फैलाया,
Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself;
25 मैं झूठे लोगों की बात को व्यर्थ कर देता हूं और भविष्य कहने वालों को खोखला कर देता हूं, बुद्धिमान को पीछे हटा देता और पंडितों को मूर्ख बनाता हूं.
That frustrates the tokens of the liars, and makes diviners mad; that turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;
26 इस प्रकार याहवेह अपने दास के वचन को पूरा करता हैं, तथा अपने दूतों की युक्ति को सफल करता है वह मैं ही था, “जिसने येरूशलेम के विषय में यह कहा था कि, ‘येरूशलेम नगर फिर बसाया जाएगा,’ तथा यहूदिया के नगरों के लिए, ‘उनका निर्माण फिर किया जाएगा,’ मैं उनके खंडहरों को ठीक करूंगा,
That confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; that says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, You shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
27 मैं ही हूं, जो सागर की गहराई को आज्ञा देता हूं, ‘सूख जाओ, मैं तुम्हारी नदियों को सूखा दूंगा,’
That says to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up your rivers:
28 मैं ही हूं वह, जिसने कोरेश के बारे में कहा था कि, ‘वह मेरा ठहराया हुआ चरवाहा है जो मेरी इच्छा पूरी करेगा; येरूशलेम के बारे में उसने कहा, “उसको फिर से बसाया जायेगा,” मंदिर के बारे में यह आश्वासन देगा, “तुम्हारी नींव डाली जाएगी.”’”
That says of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built; and to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.
